This is a G major triad, and C major triad, which means both of them have the first, third, and fifth, making them a major chord. They're very easy transitions and a good simple practice if you finish with the other material. There's also a new D major, which is unique using the thumb, but it fits in really well with a G major that we've worked with and then an E minor which I'll introduce next...
