The play was reviewed, and assuredly multiple refs looked at it.... either we are going to claim that all the refs collaborated in a conspiracy, or they got it right. I'm no expert, but it's difficult for me to believe the conspiracy theory.

What Utah conveniently forgets to bring up is the play immediately following the hold. Jake threw the ball right to a defender, who did not make the pic. It was not a difficult catch. The ball was at eye height. All he had to do was squeeze it, and the game is over. Blaming that loss on a ref is a losing mindset. The Utes have played every game since their starting QB was hurt with a losing mindset. They are not a resilient team this year. Their coaches are fragile, and the admin is bitter for having to lower itself with membership in a "lesser" conference. The team is on a downward trajectory. Not sure how they are going to correct that moving forward.

I get why Ute’s fans are pissed but I hate when people say the ref should have swallowed the whistle on an obvious foul. The refs should call every penalty they see. When you start adding exceptions to the rule it becomes a slippery slope. And no one wins or is happy.

TCU vs. Baylor- First of all, the Revivalry is a great name, but give me the surging Bears to win this one. Texas Tech vs. Iowa State- Poor Waffles is probably going to get sick again, unless Texas Tech can somehow copy UCF's game plan against Iowa State and just not let the Cyclones score on the final drive. Kansas State vs. Houston- I expect the Wildcats to play better this week after nearly losing to Kansas. I'm glad to see Houston improving, but the Wildcats are likely to maul them to death. Give me K-State. Arizona vs. UCF- Give me the 2017 Colley Matrix National Champions of Space U to win, the Gus bus to prevail over the struggle bus. Arizona State vs. Oklahoma State- Kenny Dillingham appears to be building something special at ASU, while "I'm a man, I'm 40" appears to be on his way out. Give me the Sun Devils. Mike Gundy has done a lot of great things at OSU (even last season was pretty solid), but it appears that a change is needed. Finally, let's not forget that Farmageddon is coming up. It's gonna knock Iowa State or Kansas State out of the Big 12 Title Game (assuming that BYU stays undefeated) and it may knock the loser out of playoff contention too. The Disputed National Champions book looks interesting- we've never really solved the issue of properly selecting a champion- even after the BCS was implemented in 1998, there were still split champions in 2003. And we've still had messy situations in the 4-team playoff era too: TCU and Baylor in 2014, UCF in 2017, Texas A&M in 2020, Florida State in 2023. Hopefully the 12 team playoff will solve some of these issues.

Its called "continuity football" offensive wise Briles dials it up in the first half. Problem is offensive line and Hoover cannot throw 40 times a game to the 20 rushing attempts for 50 yards. Ollie ran for 4.4 yds per carry , 126 net yards, 3 TDs. The game was never in doubt from the opening kickoff. The starting aTm QB was lost to injury on the first play of the game in the Texas Bowl last year. That is a pretty egregious loss, no?
