The Time War started some time after the events of the 1996 movie and ended before The Doctor meets Rose.
You may be very right, yet time travel can muddle a timeline. Thank You for watching & commenting Terry @ Tardis Spider
I have actually met him before he passed away (about 6 months before). He was a delight to talk to. I still have some pictures and his autograph to this day.
Was that with the PBS tour? We had Jon Pertwee come to Mobile, Al
Oh Thank You for Watching & Commenting on any of my videos
Troughton is always a joy to watch. He elevates even his few bad stories. The Dominators is pretty bad, but Troughton is still amazing in it.
Thanks for watching enjoyed today's video myself, hope you can keep up on doing Who. I am burned out myself and I have not even watched anything new, but things have been pretty negative lately
@@tardisspider7187 yeah I’m still working on who, though I have a trek episode review coming soon too! Have you seen any of the new season of who?
@@AnotherScifiGuy No choose Britbox over Disney+ as a pay app. Have not seen Jodie or Ncutti. But do havw a cosplay from next year for Ncutti
From next year only in Doctor Who
Hello Allen. Thanks for the video Terry. I hope we get a Troughton season in The Collection blu-ray sets.
Thank You for watching John that would nice I guess. But I do not have any Blue Rays anyway
Hello Allen and Terry! Good picks all around!
Thank You John, will tell Allen when he calls later today. We will enjoy the show Sun as usual with coffee & cinnamon rolls
I liked McCoy's doctor, especially when Ace joined. They are in my top 5 Doctor/companion list. I hated the question marks JNT put on the doctors' costums.
Thank You for watching & commenting on both videos today. This always makes me happy. Thank You
A couple of months ago I was lent Elisabeth Sladen's autobiography. I don't usually read actor's books but I was laid up with an injury. I was just going to read about Doctor Who but read the whole thing. Her take on The Time Warrior and how Sarah Jane Smith was written is very different. Lis Sladen loved the script! Also, listen to the dvd commentary of The Time Warrior. Again, she said how good SJS was written and she appreciated how Holmes gave her such freedom in the role.
Thank You for the comment & watching, hope you enjoy other videos. Terry @ Tardis Spider
I have always consider 4th Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith the best combination of all. Their friendship really came through.
Well Thank For watching & commenting on both videos. Woking on the next I hope you enjoy. Again Thank You for watching Terry @ Tardis Spider
First of all, the fact that there are spidr(s) literally, says a LOT about what is going on second, time war began in 1996, concluded somewhere in 2010 with that sonic guy doing that physics stuff with the entire homeworld. The octopus people are like, the song "ends" but story, never ends.
Thank You for the smile you have given me. Also ThankYou foe watching & commenting Terry @ Tardis Spider P.S. There is a TARDIS on the underbelly of spider in opening
Thanks Terry. I enjoyed this look at the 7th Doctor
I usually say: "Tom Baker is the love of my life. Sylvester McCoy is the crush of my life, and Peter Capaldi is next in line..."
So glad you enjoyed, Thank You for watching & commenting Terry @ Tardis Spider
My first Story was The Dæmons, which meant I had to wait 6 months until my second story.
I guess we were lucky omnibus stories 3qch saturday night. Thank You for watching & commenting Terry @ Tardis Spider
Played by a Aussie mate. Cheers
Thank You for watching & commenting.
For me, Tom Baker is the Sean Connery of Doctor Who.
Great comparison Tom Bakers presentation of the Doctor is definitive. Thank You for watching & commenting Terry @ Tardis Spider
Classic Doctor Who on Tubi? But... Is it legal? It's not available in italy, though...
Yes it is legal. tubi is a streaming app on my ROKU television. They are currently the #5 streaming site
You knock old DR Who ?lmao , its the present RTD in charge that has ruined Dr Who.
First Thank You for Watching & Commenting. Did not think Iwas knocking Classic. Just making observations from today. Maybe it felt judgmental, but it was my observation that things were different. Note I love Classic & Like most of Nu Who. Again Thank You and please keep watching
Knocking Classic Who? You didn't watch before commenting? Oh, wait. You complain about someone "ruining" Doctor Who. I can see where your habits come from...
The CYbermen are my alltime favourite returning villains, from Dr Who.
I enjoy them also, they are so sad. But i wish we could have jumped around in the cyber timeline not just progressed. It would have been fun for old designs to return. Terry @ Tardis Spider
Most producer of all time. Fans later blamed his luck of budget but that was because he had reduced the show to a laughing stock within a week of August 1980.
JNT is an unsung hero here. As with all era's some bad, but there is some really great stuff in this era Terry @ Tardis Spider
I have some theories about why Tom was so good. I haven't researched the actor outside of watching the show, but I think he really is extremely intelligent, probably genius IQ. Not just "funny" and charismatic. This, in addition to being a skilled actor, and being rather tall, and in a show which is often enough downright silly, I think he naturally feels a bit out of place, and a bit above it all. Which, basically fits the character perfectly, as an immortal alien should act and feel. I can easily imagine him offering Jelly Babies at awkward or inappropriate moments irl. He's such a good actor, he makes the other actors, more specifically his female companions, better. And instead of bemoaning and feeling self-pity for not being a "respectable" Shakespearean actor or something similar, he has fun in the role. He's actually enjoying himself. Frankly, none of the others gives off this "alien" vibe, not consistently anyways. He personified the Doctor. It's not just an infectious smile, it's a smile from someone who is the smartest man in the room, almost a bit lonely and alienated also, as many highly intelligent people are.
PS check out the intro interview in "Tom Baker Is 90 Years Old, Take a Breath Before You See Him Now", he basically says as much, that he was basically playing himself.
Thank You for watching & commenting. Always Tom Baker he is my first, so he holds a warm spot Terry @ Tardis Spider
"remember when I faced the Rani, Ruby? Oh, wait, you weren't there. I was there with a buxom buddy busting badly between bold brave moves against my foes the Master and the Rani. As you know, Ruby I have memories of it, let me tell you about that." See anyone can write this crap. scificfanhorrormedia.blogspot.com/2022/06/doctor-who-mark-of-rani.html
Tom Baker was the best.
Thank you for watching & commenting. Baker and this era are s good as it gets
I liked the Planet of Evil too!
Yeah Planet of Evil is top notch. Thank You for watching & commenting
The Tom Baker era overrated! Let’s see, The Ark in Space, Pyramids of Mars State of Decay Robots of Death Feel free to add to this short list, Bakers run is easy the most entertaining of all time. Terror the Zeigons
Not sure I understand overrated or these are favorites. Thank You for watching & commenting
@@tardisspider7187 My apologies for not being clear. I was trying to point out that the Bakers run is the best in the history of the show, once again sorry if I was unclear. 👋
The Sontarian Experiment Horror of Fang Rock Genesis of the Daleks Seeds of Doom
@@mancyank564 Ya the list practically endless!👋👍
Genesis wasn't one of the best dalek stories it was, in my opinion, the best doctor who stories ever.
Thank You foe watching & commenting. I enjoy this era so much. Terry @ Tardis Spider
This story would have been billions of times better, without the Master in this story and the Master is a second fiddle villain to the Rani and seriously the Master would have been better off in another story.
I don't know why he did not just a a storry on his own
Tom Baker will always be my Doctor! He was the best!
Sounds like a true fan. Thank You for watching & commenting Terry @ Tardis Spider
@@tardisspider7187 You're welcome.
Tom is the Definitive Doctor, with Jon Pertwee a very close second.
Thank You for watching & commenting. The entire decade is "Golden" . Terry @ Tardis Spider
Re companions getting overwhelmed, this does happen to Tegan in Resurrection of the Daleks, and possibly Victoria in Fury From The Deep, and in both cases contributes to their decision to stay behind.
Yes, but I was thinking real world, would not so many of us just totally break down in fear or hysteria. But more importantly. Thank You for watching & commenting
I am 58 years and Tom is my doctor. My doctor is number four.
Thank You for watching & commenting, started with Tom in the Robots of Death. The 70's were a true Golden era Terry @ Tardis Spider

Finally, a video about him, rest in peace William Russell
Thank You for watching & commenting. Barbara & Ian are inseparable. The foundation of the series
And indeed... smoking is awful. I watched my grandmother take her last breath, after struggling for 10+ years to take any breaths due to smoking. It's a sight I'll never forget. :( Well done to the UK for banning smoking, albeit over the next few dozen years.
Thank-you for this video! Today I watched episode One of An Unearthly Child in memory of William Russell. Whilst watching it with my 16yo, the topic of smoking in kids shows / Doctor Who came up, with my son thinking that surely smoking would never have appeared in Doctor Who. I knew for sure there were at least several instances, and cited City of Death and Terror of the Autons to him, but it's great having your extensive list!
Woohoo! Go Terry! Huge accomplishment.
Currently re-watching Classic who. It's amazing how often Delgado's Master wound up working WITH the Doctor at the end of a story because his plan backfired and threatens his own existence. After Delgado's death, which was one of the factors that caused Jon Pertwee to leave the series, describing it as the "End of an Era", the part was taken over by Antony Ainley, who played the part well, but never QUITE as good as Delgado.
Thank You, Wow one of the old videos. Hope I have improved. Again Thank You for watching & commenting Terry @ Tardis Spider
This have been the first tribute I saw on line. Kudos to you, Terry, you've been more considerate than anyone else.
Thank You for watching & Commenting, First 2 seasons were such MAGIC, with W/R being one of the magic makers Terry @ Tardis Spider
Well said and done Terry
Thank You John Terry
What about Ace, Seventh Doctor's friend? She was an earth based warrior with her baseball bat.
Thank You for watching & commenting. Ae should be there or not there et. Plans for Ace to become a Time Lord defiantly would have made her a Warrior. Aagain Thank You Terry @ Tardis Spider
Definitely my favorite Doctor Who. I was so disappointed when his era ended. I tried to keep watching, but I just wouldn't do it. I completely lost interest.
Thank You for watching & commenting. As I started with Tom I felt that way too. I did not regeneration was a thing so his end was quite a surprise here Terry @ Tardis Spider
I like Tom Baker and Peter Davidson after that. I just could not get into Peter’s replacement.
My favorite Doctor, love all of Tom Baker's seasons, even season 15-18 have some true gems. Seasons 12 and 13 are my two favorite seasons of the show, and I think 13 is objectively the best season the show has ever done.
Thank You as always for watching & commenting. Whenever a Whotuber watches I smile & hope they enjoy. Terry
Great video! My personal favourite seasons are 14 and 8. Just perfection in my opinion, impossible to do better
Maybe you mean season 18, 'cause 8 is a Pertwee era.
Pertwee was my favourite Doctor.
@@Heritor7 Mine too!
Thank You for watching & commenting. I see you were inspiration for Sci Fi Guy today, it was a good video idea. IThanks again Terry @ Tardis Spider
Tom Baker was the first doctor for myself.
Same. Hands down my favorite.
