Hi everyone,
EngiNERDing is brought to you by Tiaan Liebenberg and Samuel Waters, we are two students currently writing our dissertations to obtain Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering. We also teach Practical/Laboratory classes to undergraduate students, and we love it.
We started the channel for the purpose of increasing exposure and interest in the field of civil engineering. We’re trying to highlight interesting engineering facts, along with videos explaining certain test procedures in the fields of geotechnical engineering and surveying as well as Prokon Basics. Content on our channel includes videos that illustrate the use of different engineering software.

Hi, how do you ensure that your nodes stay on a straight line when you have irrational numbers as your coordinates due to your roof slope? I thought I could use a construction line like in SUMO but I cant seem to be able to do that in Frame analysis

When subtracting the coordinates should we use the signs because because it’s confusing
Yes we do use signs but what you need not to forget is to put brackets

Good work. Is there another angular method for a resection point that stands outside of the three points triangle?
I thought it would be interesting to solve this problem geometrically. and at the same time derive the formula. The geometry solution is good, but since I cannot figure out how the formula is derived from it, my inclination is that there is another solution unknown to me.
