You should try therapy putty, it stretches sooooo well and you can get one with multiple softness levels.

I subscribed to you by the way. I was curious to see if you were wearing your glasses or not. Nice to see that you are at least wearing them in this video and hopefully you're wearing them all the time now as well. From what I could see in your previous video your lenses look more than strong enough to made your glasses quite necessary all the time now. Do you have any questions for me about glasses or your eyesight? If so please feel free to ask me. By the way, would you be interested in getting several more pairs of glasses for between $7.00 and $15.00 in your prescription or a really cute pair of prescription sunglasses for around $5.00 more? I can help you with that.

Thanks for subbing! I’ve actually worn glasses every day since I was about 12 (almost 10 years!) so I’m pretty familiar with what I need out of them! My eyesight is pretty bad and only seems to get worse every time I get it checked, so I pretty much live in them unless I’m writing or reading. (nearsighted!) I’ve got plenty of pairs for now though, but I have been looking on websites like eyebuydirect for some fun pairs that won’t break the bank :) that’s where the ones I’m wearing in this video came from !

Your welcome. As an optician it was very normal for be to be fitting girls with their first glasses when they were around 12 or 13 years old. Boys got glasses a few years later around 14 or 15. Here's why. Most likely it was also around that time when you grew the most as well. So as you grew more rapidly your eyes were lengthening as well. The lengthening of the eyes results in myopia, otherwise known as nearsightedness. Then as you found out the lengthening has continued ever since then. So you were needing your glasses changed about every year or year and a half from then on. Nothing you could do to stop that from happening. I don't know if your still needing increases every time still, but I do have some good news for you. Generally speaking your eyes should soon stop changing in your early to mid twenties. So your eyesight shouldn't get too much worse than it is currently. Well Eye Buy Direct was one of the sites I was going to suggest to you for future glasses. Besides EBD you might also want to check out Zenni Optical, Lensmart and Payne Glasses. They are also very good sites and even slightly less than EBD in cost.@@rabbit-dogs

Congratulations on your first You Tube video. Rambling and just being yourself is what You Tube is all about isn't it? I don't drink coffee or lattes so for that reason I have never even been in a Starbuck's. Buy you caught my interest when you started talking about getting new glasses. Why you may ask? Well because I was an optician for 37 years and a store manager of a rather large well known optical chain for over 15 years. I'm now retired. So I'm really curious how long you had been wearing your previous glasses? Your clearly still in the age group where your eyesight is likely changing at least every 18 months or so. Usually when the lenses get so scratched up is an indication of someone that has been holding off going for an eye exam and new glasses. I saw that all the time in my working days. Full plastic framed glasses generally need to be adjusted about every 3 - 6 months depending on how much you wear them. Nearly everyone lives where the temperature can be very hot as well as sometimes very cold. When it's hot outside plastic tends to expand and can even melt if it gets too hot. I have seen a number of glasses that had actually melted because they were left on the dashboard of a car on a hot day. Now all of those scratches on your lenses could be the result of several things. One thing that causes scratches is laying your glasses down with the lenses facing down. Also if you only wear glasses part time and put them in a pocket or a handbag without first putting them in a glasses case, that will cause scratches from things like keys rubbing up against them. But something hardy anyone realizes is that cleaning your glasses with tissues, paper towels, toilet paper can easily put many very tiny scratches on your lenses. That's because all of those things are made from [paper and paper is made from wood pulp. So you should only clean your glasses with a nice lint free soft clothe. We used to cut up a new baby diaper to clean patients glasses. You didn't say anything about your vision becoming more and more blurry even with your glasses on. So I'm quite sure you needed an increase in your prescription. I can see that you have a rather decent prescription. Like most of the young ladies I saw that was around your age, your nearsighted. It was really quite rare to see a young woman that was farsighted. In fact our store generally was staffed by young women and nearly all of them wore glasses and I think in all my years their I only remember a couple that were farsighted out of maybe 60 or 70 women. Your previous glasses looked cute enough on you even being a bit large for your face size. But the reason you weren't happy about the way the bridge of your glasses fit was because you needed a slightly narrower bridge size. Every pair of glasses you see has a bridge size. You just need to find out what your size should be and then a molded non-adjustable bridge will be fine for you. But by getting frames that have adjustable nose pads is an even better option because they can be adjusted to fit perfectly. You actually have a very good size and shape head for many styles of glasses. That's also why you look so good wearing glasses. I know you said the first pair you got is actually a men's frame. Many, many frames are actually "unisex" frames theses days. Just a tip. If you weren't already wearing glasses fulltime, with an increased prescription you should probably be wearing glasses all the time now. That will also help with preventing those scratches on your lenses. Just be sure to not lay them face down when you take them off.
