Thank you! I will be adding this to my core and ab workout warm up!
Greatest advice
Where is the link to the previous video that is mentioned?
Straight to the point Great video!!
Jesus Christ loves you, he gave his life on the cross for us and rose again three days later. Him doing this allowed for our sins to be forgiven so we could have eternal life through him. Accept his gift of everlasting salvation because he is coming soon✝🤍
Love the can analogy
best ever for belly how to use ur core
love that can demonstration
Somewhere fragile
wow this was super informative!!!!!!!!!!
Hey this clip is very useful, I just wonder if the internal and external oblique is core or only TA ?
Helpful!
That's actually eccentric plantarflexion... When the foot is going into dorsiflexion but it's controlled by the calf (a plantar flexor)
you confused me lol so in the descending phase, isn't it dorsiflexors eccentrically contracting?
@@mohamedorayith4626 nope. The calves are eccentrically controlling the decent. Then they are concentric on the way up. Same muscle working both directions. The dorsiflexors are relaxed. Its about the direction of force not the movement. You're still resisting your heel going down quicker.
@@DancePerformanceTraining this is indeed eccentric ankle dorsiflexion NOT plantarflexion
@@myomoov8166 No. Eccentric is a type of muscle contraction. So for a heel raise. Lifting your heel up is the concentric phase and as you lower back down it's the eccentric phase of muscle contraction for your plantar flexors. (So the ankle movement is doing both dorsi and plantarflexion, the eccentric term refers to which muscle is working and if the muscle is shortening or lengthening.) So really it's eccentric heel raises, as we're talking contraction, not movement direction. But it's working your plantar flexors
@@ScottRuth ok.. when you lower back down..what is the ankle doing? Its going into dorsiflexion. You are loading/putting tension on the plantarflexors by eccentrically going into dorsiflexion hence the name of the movement. We are talking about movement in this case. If you were to cue someone to eccentrically contract the plantarflexors you would cue to dorsflex the ankle. Maybe I'm wrong along with the other hundreds of videos posted by PTs, Physical therapist and other professionals.
Thank you it was so helpful but I can’t find your diaphragm breathing video
ua-cam.com/video/yrhg5z_TqRY/v-deo.html
Great explanation!!
I had understood that I should avoid shorter steps bc it'd mean that I am carrying too much weight; this is how it looks like to me in this video.
musicseptember nope this was a normal gait. Trying to have as normal or a gait as possible is ideal but as it gets heavier your body will naturally shorten its steps. This isn’t a bad thing though
The best video that explains the muscles around the core that I’ve found and I’ve been looking for a while. Thanks! Now to the next video on how to activate all of them.
musicseptember check out the breathing instruction video!
Movement Cures I did. It was confusing at the beginning bc I did not understand that the thumbs, for example, had to move down WITH the breathing but I got the hang of it. I have been practicing from time to time while standing. Engaging that multifidus is tricky! This is the first video that explains the foundation correctly.
@@movementclinicutah Hey do know exercises for those specific core muscle? Ive been suffering from lower back pain for neglecting my core.
i am confused about abdominal muscle layers
Love this and the illustration with the can!
Okay I am ready- where is the following video showing us how to use and activate all the core muscles???

ua-cam.com/video/yrhg5z_TqRY/v-deo.html
Thanks!
It would be awesome if you linked your next video from here. This is probably the most sensible guide to “core” that I’ve come across. After 3 months of rehab (so far) it’s good to get better understanding, particularly the importance of diaphragmatic breathing. Thank you
does this work the serratus?
yup
Can you make a video on strengthening transverse, pelvic floor and multifidus muscles? thank you very much
Really like this.
Great video about core stability! What is the literature you used for this video?
Nice video. Looking forward for the follow up video
I found this on his channel ua-cam.com/video/yrhg5z_TqRY/v-deo.html
I think that you missed the scapula muscles group, as they also supports the spine.
Where's the follow up video on breathing to strengthen core muscles?
I found this on his channel ua-cam.com/video/yrhg5z_TqRY/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for this video. I will be implementing this to my daily routine. :)
Thank you for this. Which of your videos would you suggest watching next in this series?
Excellent! Thank you. That adds a new dimension to my understanding of the core.
I wish I could upvote this more than once, thank you!
are you engaging the core through every movement?
Amazing
Nicee
Some sound would be nice
I like the comment thing
how come you got so little views?? on of the best videos i've seen on this topic keep up the great work !! you helped a lot
strange feeling watching a video without the sound =)
what o you improve with this?
what for is this pose?
Great video! Good job!!! I love the comparison with the can. It looks like you are just starting your channel. I started mine just weeks ago where I talk about similar stuff.
awesome kettle! where can I fine one? :)
Monika Chmielewska looks a lot like Onnit brand kettle bell, so I’d check out Onnit’s website if you’re still interested
I'm posting this on my online class' "Toolbox" for Mindfulness tips
Awesome Thank you!
