Press Freedom in Eritrea – Exhibition and Webinar at the University of California, Berkeley
In collaboration with several departments and organizations at the University of California - Berkeley, we honored and remembered the Eritrean journalists (longest serving in prison) and many others around the world for providing us with information and being a beacon of hope for democracy. We recognize UC Berkeley and its historic Free Speech Movement of 1964, which paved way for press freedom not only in the USA but also around the world.

In 2013 Meron Semedar attended as the first Eritrean representative to the United Nations Youth Assembly (UNYA). In 2014, he along with a team of high school and college students created a resolution project to assist in the empowerment of asylee and refugee Eritreans called Refugee Empowerment Program.
