hi, for a home user, is it possible to only buy the pedestal and overhead panel? or single components/panels? thx in advanced
Over the past few years, we have seen tremendous growth in the commercial FTD market. This has grown to the point that our entire focus shifted there. We have left a few pieces up in our Web Shop (under the Components Link on the web site) that may help some with their plans. All the best to you and good luck with your project!

Would certainly be cool! The fighters (F18/F16) we have built were for a Test Pilot School. The level of detail and fidelity required was very high (Meaning, these had a very commercial price tag).

Very nice. I wish I had gotten into planes at a younger age but the amount of money needed to become a pilot put me off. Out of curiosity if I had a room big enough and wanted to buy one privately how much would a 787 cockpit cost? And would it run flight simulator?😅

What flight models on msfs can you use with this?
We utilize a dedicated avionics software package to simulate the aircraft and its systems. The flight model is also custom for that. P3D is the simulation platform at present. MSFS looks amazing but we require multiple monitor support. Expecting tat in late 2022.

Once we see a few key elements added with that platform we will certainly shift that way.

Oh yes I getting this one no matter what saved up for a while. Though sadly I had to sell my Flight Solutions 737 cockpit as well that I had for over a decade that or get a bigger house but wife won't like that. Yes it is very expensive and Its very popular hence the waiting list is very very long I put in my order in last year and still in a queue. Hopefully by this year. And for those who say for the price why learn to fly a real plane? Truth is many of home cockpit builders or owners of simulators are longtime pilots just not rated or able to fly a certain aircraft like a 787 etc. Ive been flying helicopters for over 30yrs so never flew a fixed winged or actual airliner and VR will never take the place of a actual cockpit nothing beats real displays, knobs and buttons etc :)

Free idea. You wanna help dummies like me with procedure ? Have lights flash or glow at the switch or knob needing checked or adjustment as voice-over reads out any particular procedure like start-up. more peace to you

I got the info from a flight attendant yesterday that if you travel a 3 hours trip or more. Then you are welcome to ask if it is possible to see the cockpit in cruise!

That’s definitely not true. That pilot would probably be fired for doing that. The only time someone is supposed to be allowed into the flight deck is if it is necessary for safe operation of the flight. Maybe before 9/11 you could, but post 9/11 you’re not getting into the flight deck unless let’s say you work for the FAA, for the airline, or the manufacturer of the aircraft, and have a valid reason to be there.
