I do similar work but with lizards. My Yochi, an Egyptian Uromastyx hangs onto me the same way. Starved, horribly sick and near death, He still nearly 3 years later refuses to be away from me. Had to carry him on me for over 2 years. The abuse he sustained was awful and he remembers it. People think lizards have no feelings, but lizards are very affectionate and needy. My sweet boy loves to still be held even though he is a big boy now and so many hours a day is devoted just to his desire to snuggle up.

I am so grateful to the people who have made this their life's work--saving precious animals who deserve a chance at life.
