can you end the video....
Thanks man for this video upload it help me a lot 👍
How was it running before this tho ? My fuel pump went out and now my truck is running super ruff and stalls out after running for a few seconds. Please help.
@@JacobMitschke ran like crap. Only firing on one bank
Thanks bro
How did you figure out how to do this, like what was your steps in figuring this out
@@MrEbanks I checked for ground after the customer changed plugs, coils, fuel pump. He contacted me and when I can I disconnected the main harness on that side and it ran exactly the same. Checked for power and it was there. Checked for ground and he had no ground
@@mobilemedicmanllc5146 ahh so I think I have the same problem, I did a injector balance test on all the injectors, also checked the resistance on each injector, everything was in specs no problems on the fuel side. I put a power probe to the black wire with koeo and I didn't get any reading on that black. I'll try what is in your video tomorrow
@@mobilemedicmanllc5146 Ok I think I did it correctly, did you splice the ground or completely rewired it?... It didn't work for me, I'm like beyond baffled, I feel like I'm totally missing something... I'm going to look at all my values/live data again on the scan tool.. this thing is making me use my brain
Did this fix the issue?
So where did you find a replacement?
@@shannellkeaton6114 I took it to get rebuilt
I'm seeing two different locations on UA-cam for a crankshaft position sensor.. here and the rest right above the starter. Mine is a 2012 malibu. Thanks

Love how the music's so loud. Can't hear what the fuck you're saying
The ground is on the bottom driver side of the block .🤟🏿 Follow the battery ground down .
The customer swapped all of the grounds out prior to my service. There’s a break in the harness. He didn’t want to do that. Thanks for the info though. 💪🏽
Mine did that i just cut all the original grounds on that stud under cylinder one and ran them all up there where you did. It was a pain in the a** to get to lol. Now that there up there i aint gotta worry about it again, lol.
Thank you
Can I do this on a 2017?
I’m not sure. What is the engine size
@@mobilemedicmanllc5146 3.6 L DOHC
3.6
Did you cut the wire or just tied into it
Tied into it
What is the blue thing you’re running the black wire to?
It’s a Dorman conduct wire connector. It joins wires together without having to cut the wire and splicing
I just did this and I’m just letting everyone else know this is a pain in the ass
Lol
I mean it is but you probably saved $600-$700
Terrible video! Audio faded completely away. not professional mechanic procedure. You're probably a good mechanic but the video doesn't show it.
I don’t have time for perfection. I have a mobile mechanic business. I fix multiple vehicles daily. I’m not looking to be a teacher but hopefully you figured out how to repair it by the video. Thanks for the feedback tho 🫶🏽
Why didn't you just check the grounds underneath cylinder 1? It's the ground for the ignition coils.
That was checked. The wire had a short in it.
How much will this cost including labor
About $20 parts and labor was about 5 mins.
Was the coils not producing spark because of the faulty ground?
Issue I have aswell no spark
Trq makes a compatible alternative for it.. cheap.
How do I find it
My fans don’t turn on what to do
Disconnect the coolant temp sensor. If the fans come on then the sensor is bad but if they don’t more than likely you fans are done. Swap the relay and check any fuses that are in the fan circuit
If you remove the air cleaner box the front of the battery box slides up like a trap door and the battery will slide forward.
Good video. Too bad I was already finished when I found it. Did it the same way but you would have saved me time for sure.
Thanks helped by now my spring ceased I think I'm screwed my belt won't go back tight and I don't even think they make that part
I tried it connected to the black wire as explained and now It won’t even try to crank. Any pointers?
So this was just a removal explanation video…
did you remove the oil pressure sensor 1st or just the connector to the oil pressure sensor? i have a 2004 malibu 2.2 l , 4 cyl engine the plastic intake manifold is too close to the oil pressure sensor connector and i was unsure how to remove the connector from the oil pressure sensor. also my crank sensor is held in by a 10mm bolt not 8 mm. any ideas appreciated, i am assuming you did not have to remove the starter. my oil filter housing is the same as yours.
Thank you for this video. I had the exact same problem and I fixed it doing what you did. You saved me from spending thousands of dollars or junking the truck. Thank you taking the time to post the video.
No problem. I’m glad that I was able to help
@@mobilemedicmanllc5146Hey what is the name of the materials used tapping into the black wire and grounding it to the engine
I have misfire on all 8
Thank YOU. IVE got one scheduled this morning.
Thanks, just what I was looking for
Thanks for the vid. Simple and to the point
What was it doing at first ??
One side was completely misfiring. It’s in the description my friend. I unplugged the entire harness and no idle change
@@mobilemedicmanllc5146 You mention no idle change and i have an 03 with a P0300 and all my cylinders are misfiring and any coil I disconnect don't change the idle there was a time i noticed my spark plugs were shocking my longtube headers but I doubt see it happing now but could be unnoticed i assume, what would make all my cylinders be misfiring at the same time
@@yatusabes909 check your fuel pressure.
@@mobilemedicmanllc5146 I did it’s at 60 psi
@@yatusabes909 possibly a vacuum leak
