Tip: to stop your model from ripping go into edit mode for it and right click then find something that says merge verticals and say by distance helps every time

try a different model that doesnt have its own self tearing apart each frame. get a rig that is more comfortable for you to animate. or build your own rig. (i recommend downloading a rigged model because that has a higher chance of having what you desire) thats all the tips i really have as im new to blender animation as well

get a better model...and use IK( Inverse Kinematics) and aswell as Damped Track for tail physics, you can find tutorials on that on YT

Set up your rigs with IK and FK accordingly, make sure that you study how things move to get realistic animations. Looks janky because the legs look to be moving independently from the rest of the body. I also suggest learning to use the graph editor to tweak the animation curves because the default bezier sometimes looks really weird

You gonna need to watch some tutorials brah. I suggest learning principles of animation. It applies to all aspects of animation from 2D to 3D. Squish and squash, anticipation and alot of learning curves. Master those then you won't need reference to animate

Try recording yourself doing the movements you want your character to do as reference. You’ll look dumb doing it but it’ll help a bunch, trust me.

I started animation recently too. My tip is build your pose library. It's a free addon you can find under preferences. Also Alt R and Alt G are your best friends. Alt R resets rotation transformations, Alt G resets location transformations

Tip: give zilla a glizzy
