Переглядів 53711 років тому
Jon and Lottie from Eastnor Pottery & The Flying Potter worked with very young children and their families at the fabulous Just So Festival 16-18 August 2013 at Rode Hall Estate. The children experienced clay in all it's magnificent consistencies as well as trying their hand at the potter's wheel. Very messy, great fun and so brilliant watching how the babies interact with the material. Cant wa...

Never, never, never use a flexible metal kidney for throwing. Collaring? Why not lift the clay properly? Nice workshop.

the video was okay but your others were better!
Gayfish
Love your fun fish, It would be more fun if you did spend some time on your joins (I mean places where the clay joins, not joints) and fun textures so the fish wouldn`t be so shiny and like a machine made it. My main suggestion is that if you look at a fish in nature you would find that they mostly have eyes on each side of their head, like most birds. So that when you are on their left side they are examining you with their left eye and looking at something entirely different with their right eye. When you are on their right side, they are examining you with their right eye and looking at something entirely different with their left eye. Okay, I`m going now. It`s time to make a fish. Thank you for the demonstration. Bye!!!
hello!!!
How cool, sorry it took me so long to see this, love your work, you rock, thanks for not bitting in to what I do, it’s sounds dum but are you from England
On inplix page are instructions if you want to learn how to build it yourself just take them
Thank You! Using with my students and appreciate your well made video very much.
dope fish bra🐮
nice job you create a new element
Great vid I'm glad I now know how to make a clay fish Keep up the good work
The clay fish is a wonderful idea; however, it is very shoddily made. I've seen them made with much more care and with scoring and slipping. This fish looks like it has been made by a child. Please tell the creator that he shouldn't move in towards the camera or shove his tools toward the camera while working. If it were a tutorial for children, well, then, it does look like it. Probably children would enjoy it, and a real pottery could get some good ideas, but would have to use better techniques and not produce a whoppy-jawed fish. Got any tutorials for making small birds?
I do art GCSE and my theme is sea side and sea life. I'm thinking of making a clay fish some time soon after my two starfishes are done this video's really helped me though
Those are cute!! :)
That was especially cool! Great claymation!! I see days going by, how long did it take to make this. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Very nice!
Thats whats up. Very cool
Great project! I was wondering how and when do you remove the cup in the center of the owl?
:)
he makes it look too easy!
Hello Jon Williams from John Williams from the states also a potter!
What's the name of that song?
got it! Thanks :)
Thanks for the speedy and informative reply! Will post our pics for you :0)
I love this and your other tutorials with children. How do you dry them? do the children paint them after? It would look so fun in bright colours! I'm a clay beginner and your instructions are so accessible and easy to follow! Thanks for sharing!!
HI I love your tutorials of simple clay projects for kids! How do you usually dry your projects? Do you fire them all or can you air-dry? If so, how long and any specific tips?
well done
That's hilarious! Although I may be a bit biased towards penguins.
Nice job Jon, you make it look so easy!
Very nice ua-cam.com/channels/Hjsi9eKx4AaBcLEC25SVMg.html
Jon, this is a perfect introduction to clay modelling for children and I will be using some of your ideas next time we are making The Salmon of Knowledge (Ancient Irish Legend). Thanks a million
Well yes, it does look like an elementary grade fish...so? if you are working with kids the method is the magic, not a perfect likeness. Good job. We would have added a little mention of water and slip to make things stick just a bit better with our clay but obviously not necessary for this project with your clay!
The fish was basic but it was recognisable as a fish! And as noted before, it was instructional! Ta.
Your idea is wonderful....
I really hope this was a joke..
you're a joke
Jon did you know the 5 senses thing is out of date now! Apparently we have at least 9 which are sight, sound, smell, touch, taste, pain, temperature, balance and proprioception!!! But we could have many more, just thought you'd like to know ;)
Nice video matey!
This looks really bad, like an elementary grade fish.. Sorry .
