As a local, this trail is one of the best quick shittle or loop rides to do a fairly chill, not too adventury loop on. Once you ride it a couple times, it is a REALLY fast ride. And the section after the pind in the other direction is super fun, and easily the fastest, steepest, and occasionally chunkiest bit. My favorite section. If you ever are back in Salmon, i also highly recommend Upper Thunder Mountain to Henrys Creek or Double R. All on trailforks. Dope

i heard it was texan oil field workers who started skiing in colorado before the people of colorado. the texas oil field guys would get long breaks and go camp and hunt in colorado, then they started skiing. of course no coloradan wants to hear that, lololol.
