Late comer to this but after watching this great instructional install just had mine delivered and installed in 15mins !! Fantastic sound and the ability, that I wanted, for CarPlay. Only issue is the flap does not close, can you just explain how you got yours to shut - mine just hits the volume dial 3/4 of the way down.
@@mattmartin6007 yes good piece of kit for the money. Without seeing it i would assume its not pushed back far enough? The stereo should be flush with sides and locks into the cage
Nice one Wayne, you’ve just reminded me to get on and do mine, I purchased one when Felix posted 🤦♂️😂😂. Another OEM+ mod to do is twin rear brake lights. Really cheap and makes a huge difference to looks and safety. A guy called triplefan posted on the TT forum back in 2015 How to… twin brakelights. Have a look, but if you do it post it, I don’t think it’s been done🤷🏼♂️. You just need a rear brake holder from a mk2/3/4 Golf, Jetta or Bora which are cheap and about 1/2hr, that’s it. 👍🏼 Phil.
@@philp4842 Thanks Philip, i will 100% look into that I have a couple of things working on at the moment but that is certainly one i will add to the list:)

@@vickiread4780 thank you Vicki. Was lovely day out. And its becoming trader mark of of mine :)
Nothing you plug into the OBD II port will benefit your fuel economy. Most do nothing. The one from your insurance company tells on you every time you accelerate and brake hard so they can arbitrarily charge you more as a result.
Hi everyone, I’ve noticed some negative reviews about the eco fuel saver, and I wanted to share my personal experience and offer a different perspective. A lot of people might not see a noticeable difference, but I believe that’s because the product’s true effectiveness is best observed over the entire course of a full tank, from full to empty. For example, I typically get around 400 miles out of a tank of gas (19.5 gallons). Using the eco fuel saver, I expect to gain about 60 extra miles per tank-around a 15% increase. However, this difference can be subtle if you don't drive your car down to empty. In my case, I may only see around 45 extra miles if I haven’t drained the tank completely. I understand why some people might not notice a dramatic difference, but I believe it’s important to take this into account before making a judgment. It’s easy to miss these savings if you don’t monitor your mileage over the entire tank. Hopefully, this adds a bit of context for others considering the device." Regards, Jim L
@@jim7060 thanks for your comment much appreciated. And as you have pointed out it is difficult guage in terms of from uk perspective fuel £1.43 per litre last week £1.48 week before. The only way i saw fair was to do usual commute to work and back. When you get more mpg on an audi tt the mpg increases e.g 21mpg to 24mpg in my experience it decreased which eludes to higher fuel consumed
How did you secure it into the car? Mine fits and is wired in but the metal inner cage won’t fit so nothing to secure the device
@@olivershort7689 the inner cage that comes with any head unit should fit. You need put cage in first. Bend tabs so its locked in and then insert head unit. Its a challenge to push back the wiring, and adaptor but there is space there
@@zimbabwayne5626 thanks for getting back to me - strange mine doesn’t fit. Perhaps it’ll be secure enough with a facia?
@@olivershort7689 as its a universal fitment id invest in another one. You may find initially you need to put a V kink in the top side for it to slot it then once in push back to shape and then fold some of the triangle tabs to secure it firmly
It’s in! I bought the adapter, but the sound is still crackling - is that the same for you?

Hi Wayne. Nice tutorial. That is the wrong-shaped coil pack pulling tool for a 3.2 coil pack. The one you need I have shown on the channel and it fits around the coil pack and allows you to remove it. That one you have is for the 1.8T engine. If you use the right tool, you dont need the grips ;) Andy
