What's the name of the tool you used to cut it so nice after you applied the transfer tape?
It's an Olfa knife.
how do you continuous cut as graphtec advertises?
We don't use the continuous cutting feature, as we prefer to run in short batches rather than rolls. So I am not 100% positive on how the setup for it works. We print roll media barcodes through our RIP software (Onyx) and as it scans it on the cutter it will automatically default to looking for the next barcode as soon as the cut is complete, we just never have another one in line for it to find. I'm not sure if there is also a setting that we have turned on on the cutter that is doing this, or if it is just prompted by the roll media style of barcode. Graphtec has all of their manuals online, as well as some great resource videos if you still have questions on how to set it up!
This is genius, thank you! 🙌
Great job! What was your improvement in terms of production speed in garments/hr ? Can you share the before and after? And show what was the productivity improvement. Again great job!!
I learn so much about my Barudan on this channel! Just one note though about this video. I applaud her eagerness to stay busy but my observation of those screens that you could save the boss a little $$$ by carding the remaining ink from the screen before dipping it. It will make the tank chems last so much longer (draining that piggy is a pain in itself...). Keep up the great videos!!! We all are teachers and students every step along this journey!!!
Like the guards on bicycle wheels. Now you can turn on the drill at full speed! 😅
Is that a plastic gum container you turned into a blade holder?
Yes it is
Nice advice, but your first goal should be to keep that machine working. You should have hit the start button as soon as you got your first set of hoops snapped in. Then you prep your next batch, and hurry up because your goal is to have that step completed by the time the machine finishes.
Yes, that's what we usually do, but in prepping for the video we got a little ahead of ourselves. Great advice though, thanks for your comment!
I have been snapping the edges of knives against whichever table I'm working at ever since the only disposable knives were the fat gray metal utility knives. Always thought dodging shrapnel was part of the fun of working with them. Good times. Seriously though, thanks for the tip. Glad they have a safer way of doing it now. Maybe I will get to keep my remaining fingers.
LOL, happy to help!
Красавчик. А у нас всё засрано...
Thank you
Thank you for making it easy to understand…I wish i could give a million likes
the center shortcut disappeared on mine . There is two center shortcuts i can add but neither one is the one i need. The one i need used to center the logo to the hoop. How can i get that back?
Center is not a button that you set up yourself, that only shows up when you first hit drive, or when you are already in drive and go to the trace shortcut. I hope this helps.
Hello do I have to use ONYX to operate the S60600 am new to the printer and it was a gift and I have no clue how to use it can you help.
You do not have to use ONYX specifically, however, you will want a RIP software of some sort. ONYX is the one that we have found that meets our needs the best, but there are plenty of different softwares out there with different features and price points. Some of the most popular softwares are: ONYX, SAi Flexi, Caldera, and PrintFactory. A RIP (Raster Image Processor) software is what will convert your digital files into raster images, or bitmaps, for printing. It is what will talk to the printers and control quality, color settings, finishing marks, sizing, etc.
@ thank you very helpful I will still need to do more research on this machine like I said it was a gift and I have no clue how to operate it
Are metallic colors printed using this method? like gold, silver etc. I'm not talking about gradient color. Pure metallic.
There are a couple of different ways that a metallic look can be achieved when printing on paper: 1. Most commonly it is done using foil, in which case the file setup is just like these. 2. You can also print to metallic/holographic papers and leave negative space where you want the material to show through. 3. There are some machines that can use a metallic digital ink when printing. I believe those usually print a layer of metallic ink and then print the CYMK on top of it. With this you can hit a wider array of metallic colors outside of the standard gold, silver, and bronze. 4. You can also use metallic inks in traditional offset printing.
@@thekaizink Thank you, you have explained it very well, all doubts are clear, Thanks again.
Hey there :) I just ran across this video and wanted to bring it to your attention that I think your tension guide is backwards. If there’s too much top thread on the bottom, the top thread needs to be tightened. If there’s barely any top thread on the bottom, the top thread needs to be loosened, so I think it’s reversed on your guide instructions. Have a great day! Love seeing your tips and tricks videos! Thanks for taking the time to share your production experience! I have a Tripp that you may already use, one that I use and have never thought of in 10 years, when you’re hooping caps, bags, jackets wear some light weight gloves with the grip on them I can’t believe ask this time I’ve never thought to do this!!! lol
Thank you for letting me know, I'll double check those instructions!
Came across your videos looking for Barudan single head DO3 color change lock error, any info on the issue?
We have not encountered this, but here is what the Barudan manual says: Check that the needle number displayed on the Automat screen matches the needle position the machine is physically on. If the Automat display reads “N00”, then the machine is stuck between needles and needs reset. Reset using a 4mm Allen wrench and rotate the manual connecting shaft for the color change assembly. This shaft is located behind the tension assembly on the left hand side. Turn the shaft slightly until the Automat displays the correct needle number on the display. Then power Off machine and then back ON and retry. Note while resetting the color change assembly, If the shaft will not rotate because it’s in a bind, do not force it. Check and fix binds. Possible binds: 1. Broken take up lever. 2. Thread keep assembly is out of position or not working and it’s jamming the needle bar frame from moving. 3. Machine has been knocked out of sync by hitting a hoop or something else solid. When the Automat display reads “TOP” on the screen, all the take up levers should be perfectly aligned in the upper most position. If the take up lever used for sewing is lower than the rest, then the machine is out of sync. You can always request that a Barudan tech calls you and walks you through the repair. If you have an iphone you can request a facetime call.
Which Barudan model do you have?
Thanks
Thanx Sam! Very helpfull!
How can I do this for thick (350gsm) stock? I have just got a 180 but am finding quite a skewed print on 350gsm card, of course I cant duplex on that, but will need to somehow manually duplex for business cards.
Ive been working with barudans for 25 years, i have few tips for those who are new. If you hold the start button it will start to embroid with the minimal speed Rotation is very important, remember that hats need different one Dont let the threads run out, because there might be an issue with them binding under Machine must be well maintained with oil, but dont add too much, otherwise it will cause it leave marks on the thread Make sure to follow the safety guidelines, because you can actually get hurt. I know something about that.
Thanks for your post
Thank so much
thank you!!!!! i didn’t even know this was a thing
Porque en puff se hace bola abajo? No jala bobina
The translation of your question did not make sense to me, please try rephrasing
thank you! <3 you saved me!
damn that's sick
what is the spider like machine doing ?
It's an automatic screen printing press, it is being used to print t-shirts.
I always found using old automatic squeegee rubber worked the best. Like an 80 durameter.
So underrated 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
dude, obviously u know, but u are dissaster when u explain, i work with this, but from your explanation no one can understand how to do that.
Thank you for your feedback! We are always looking to improve and will keep that in mind as we continue to work on simplifying the explanations for our graphic design processes.
Thanks, this really help❤

Thanks for sharing. QUESTION: Will any kind of parchment paper work or is there a special or particular "type or brand" of parchment paper that you use for the heat press? When I looked for parchment paper rolls on Amazon, most of them were for baking, grilling, Bar-B-Qing, etc., and nothing about Heat Pressing.
Hi Ray, good question! We use regular baking/cooking parchment paper, and it works perfectly. There is no specific brand, although we currently use Member's Mark non-stick genuine vegetable parchment paper. Hope this helps! 😁
@@thekaizink- Thank you for your reply.
Hi we have some problem with the machine
Hi, what machine are you having problems with and what seems to be the issue? Maybe we can help!
Best advice of the day! I too search for the broken piece, sometimes it’s stuck in the stabilizer of the hat.
We're glad this helped, thank you! 😄
Thank you. Can you show me how you got the presser foot down, and how to bring it back up?
If the head is turned on you can pull the last used presser foot down and it will stay down. The other presser feet can be held down even lower with your hand. But if you want the machine to lower the foot on all heads that are turned on, please watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/roR446mapFY/v-deo.htmlsi=Xcxva8lfPvY2XSTF I hope this helps you out! Thank you for watching our channel!
i pressed shift and mouse scroll button, which functions same as Shift+H. But yea thanks
Which hoop do you prefer to use, and why?
For bucket hats the Gen 2 has the advantage of the height adjuster, but for all other hats we prefer the Barudan hoop. The Gen 2 is set up for a left-handed user, and feels awkward to use. Maybe we're just used to the Barudan hoops, but we like that they are right-hand friendly and are easy to adjust how tightly they hold the cap.
Helpful video for insight on the industry. Thank you
The rail was already stuck in there when I got it, it's a pain in the butt to get it out...
That was helpful. Thank you
You're welcome!
I've had issues with this. Where did you find the elastic and clips that you use?
I purchased them from Amazon, I searched for elastic tablecloth holders. Thanks for watching!
thanks
You're welcome!
What do you have on your table to protect it from getting cut?
We use a self healing cutting mat.
what do you do with the creases on the sleeve after the press though?
😂
It worked for me yesterday, now I cant click on the blade icon to turn on the red X. Any suggestions
That used to happen with ours occasionally, usually rebooting the computer got it working again. I never figured out what was causing it though, so if you are able to figure out what it is we'd love to know!
What was the pressure setting?
@@jeffmorris151 unfortunately we did not notate that in this video but we also learned that pvc patches this size are not ideal for beanies that meet our standards. We will get back to you if we are able to dial in this process or let us know if you have any suggestions on applying pvc patches to beanies. Appreciate the question!
What brand of beanie do you use
What does the 3 mean?
3 is just the setting that Barudan set up to compensate for round logos getting distorted.
How do you get the reference point/laser to be the centre point of the design?
To center your design in Wilcom, select all of it, then look in the top left corner of your program, where it will say Position X: and under that it says Position Y: if you set them both to 0 (zero) your design will move to the center. I hope this answers your question.
