I loled at the "Hare Krishna!" part 😆

I wondered if he'd sung the suggested line Ringo rejected (I don't remember it exactly. Something about Krishna) that Ringo wrote as "Please remember peace is how we make it" but he was faithful to the original. (Although I did hear a bit of Hare Krishna in the choral background.)

My favourite song and Ultravox were excellent live too in the 70s . John Foxx the singer I've always followed his work.

IMHO, Ringo's "cowboy voice" sounds much more suitable for this song.

I played guitar and sang this song in front of a bunch of Vietnam veterans. Some who told a story of denying being in the military because how they were treated when they came home. I cried during that set. And I seen them too.

I was told Ringo wrote this song and the Beatles refused to do it. Ringo finally convinced George to do it years later.

This was the version I was searching for. The newest version is an A I generated hogwash pile of never shoulda been, it's stupid to fake people out. This demo got the Starr treatment with George and the same iconic female backup vocals that helps make it a great 1971 standout tune.❤

Thanks to Michael Mann I became aware of this B-side that never was featured on a RM album. Together with it's A-side, Same Old Scene, 2 of my favorites of the oeuvre. Sounds like Bob Clearmountain on the console.

Thank you, George! It's all about becoming more conscious of ourselves among each other so we can love each other as ourselves. I always pray that my thoughts and actions help others become more conscious for the long run.
