When I was on my vacation, I was on on a Doc we call like 30 of those but they were small we got two big ones when we were digging for Flounder, and rockfish off the bottom

I think you could use a bigger hook for that fish

For a tip, start hooking them through the bottom lip then the top lip to get a better hook when you set the hook and so the bait doesn’t get off of the hook as easily
