How Photography Inspired Government Action to End 14 Years of Water Scarcity in My Community
I was called by my friend that he was soon going to have a child and he doesn’t want his child to suffer from the lack of clean water in his community. He wanted me to tell a story of his community.. I contacted another curious photographer like me Dawali and we agreed to tell this story of this community with the intentions to also raise awareness and support for the community so as to provide local water borehole but to our surprise this images and videos went viral and the government stakeholders of the community saw it and decided to do the needful; they House of Representatives member provided a solar system water borehole for them. My joy is seeing how the power of photography influenced government to drive development. #photo #community #documentary #story #people #family #water
