Who is watching this in 2024?
Maxims are as revelant today as ever your opinion about their irrelevance is misguided my dear sir.
Concerned with fairness, unlike this lot today, we need more of his sort around.
Legend
Lord Denning. First class English man of the old order!
Can you possibly speak _any_ slower?? Are you hourly??
This is such a helpful breakdown of an otherwise quite complicating set of facts. Thank you!
Interested to know what you think of the new Denning biography - Life, Law and Legacy by James Wilson.
Professor your committment to providing us exceptional Equity case shorts are beyond amazing. Truly superb work. You have gone above and beyond for us students! I am thankful for your sincere efforts. Wish to see more and more. I wish you were my Equity professor!
⚡️🔥🔥🔥🔥
i’m working in his house right now, his library/office is filled with his books and portraits
Can his house be visited? A great man.
An as always super-helpful presentation; but can I ask is an executory gift the same thing as a trust - was the wife holding the property right on trust and/or is an executory gift an altogether different beast?
He was a true lionheart of England, from England, and for England.
A great man, as fair as they come.
Thank you!
thanks
legend
your an idiot
wtf
Very interesting
Not that it is of any interest or doesn't really matter but I wanted to ask if, the 18th Early of Derby happened to own a 1964 two tone blue Rolls Royce Silver Cloud lll LWB? I bought this car from a dealer in the USA, who puts claim that the car once was owned by the Earl of Derby. Just to add, that is not why I bought the car. I just happen to love the old classic Rolls Royce. If it was his car, the car is now in Sydney, Australia.
rak-sa = mercury Page 1260 torr = n, pl torr. a unit of pressure equal to one millimetre of mercury (133.322 newton per square metre). [C20: after E. Torricelli (1608-47), It. physicist]
Page 320 Since 1544, except for a short time of some 20 years, the symbol for the standard has been a lion passant (walking with the right forepaw raised).
This mark shows the piece has been made from strling coin silver.
Great listening. The Values and Tastes were so much more meaningful and refined back then, compared today's Desert Island Discs.
I couldn' t agree more!👍
Can’t beat British history!

At University of Nottingham and was sent away to read these cases... Your explanation really helped me to get to grip with the facts and concepts in the case. Thank you!
Interesting. Thank you for this.
I will never know or understand cazzies thoughts on the matter but any visitors to my house are obliged to take the knee before entering. Plain and simple.
brilliant. thanks very much.
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
“On that pint…” 🤣
Thank you so much for the explanation, it was so much clearer with you.

Haha! Amazing 👏! I wish you had not stopped making law videos. Never found law that exciting and dramatic before this!😀
Wow! What a way to explain! Shorn lamb and sheep farm. You are the best!👍
This guy makes it so interesting! I was really struggling with remembering re Rose, but I don't think I will forget now 😊👌🤞
Always loved Lord Denning’s line in one of the cricket cases - “cricket is a game that young men play and old men watch.”
Wasn't that the judgment on a case where someone wanted an old cricket club shut down just because they bought a house across the street and got hit on the head by a ball. He was a dissenter, and I agreed.
please post a pdf link to this file in the chat.
do you have this case? i am looking for it
Thank You random White Guy
A Master in the self making sense of explanation through simplicity my friend without knowing... Is Blessing in Disguise
Absolute Tories
Equity requires the liberal arts and sciences known as the Trivium and Quadrivium. It's Natural law but it doesn't have anything to do with abstract objects known as corporate bodies as its obfuscation and a dimwit.
In Australia, common law and equity were combined in the current courts. In the State judicial acts, (some states it's known as the Supreme Court act) it says where there is a controversy between the common law and equity, the rules of equity shall prevail. There is a bloke named Mark Pytellek who uses the rules of equity in the court for his cases. He'll ask "what's my equitable remedy?" and if the judge claims there's no equity in that court, then he will say "That may or may not be true sir, however I'll reserve my rights to the rules of equity and I'll invoke it. Thanks". If he knows the prosecutor has 0 evidence against him, then he will say he's happy to pay the fine 4-fold, but if the prosecutor can't provide evidence then he must pay him 4-fold. It's still an honour/dishonour system, and as a debtor (unless you don't consent to the Trust surety) we must pay. Saying no is belligerent and dishonourable. If we can't pay, we must ask for our equitable remedy.
some scrupulous analysis over here
😁
Wallowing in the miasma of solomonic wisdom sir 🙏 😎
Always loved the way he wrote about cases.
