How to Transmute (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Ironically enough he's not the only circus themed villain in the series to have hypnotized Daphne and changed her outfit while doing so
(he also happened to also been a ghost 😅)
The cousins weren't actually dead. They were just scared away. The cousins that were in the coffins were just dummies, mainly to attempt to scare Scooby and the gang away.
In terms of scariest, I select the Puppetmaster. His obscurity really helps him because you're likely to be less familiar with what he does unlike someone like The Creeper. That, and the fact that his main ability is using his puppets to disorient his victims, distracting them from his plans. The misdirection of his puppets always caught me off guard as a kid.
Did the animators pull all of captain cutlers sound effects straight from hell?
Captain Cutler is the coolest and scariest ghost of the seas especially his wife Widow Cutler too in the lighthouse too.
Charlie the robot is scary in some ways but he could be funny too!!!!😊🫣
The Spooky Space Kook is the most scary for me personally especially the noise it makes while been around it in the episode 😮😱🫣
Please do what’s new scooby doo
The Jaguaro returned in Scooby-Doo And The Cyber Chase so it must have made some kind of impression. I'm not a fan of it's screams and would've preferred stock roar sound effects,
I was born near the end of 1968 and I grew up watching scooby-doo. I can still hear the space Kooks Laughter😂😂😂😂
The Puppetmaster is a DAMN scary episode. Also, here's my idea for a more mature take on the show: Mystery Inc are paranormal investigators, but they're more skeptical and always try to debunk weird activity before they label it as paranormal. It's just that sometimes the mundane explanation isn't carbon monoxide or faulty wiring, it's some guy in a costume committing fraud.
Spear is that you?!???
while the design of anthos is not overly scary the concept of him can be. take him out of scooby doo and put him in a different story minus the glasses part. now imagine you are the tennis player you see him everywhere no one else can see him when you call out that hes there. im not saying hes super scary but the idea of something like that can be. something like it follows where no one is being chased but one said character no one else will know whats chasing you but you.
@@Goregarden2498 I agree that there is some potential, but I don’t think the episode takes advantage of it at all. I’m a personal believer that there are no bad ideas, and any concept can be worked into a great story with enough dedication. This one just needed another pass or twelve to get to that point.
@ ya i agree its no where near top i dont imagine the writers were thinking that way either
My top 2 favorite episodes got first and second which surprised me
0:22 he lives in my backyard
Random thing, the futuristic monster could be the result of the Time Machine being locked in an absolute cosmic position. Basically, earth, the solar system, and the Milky Way are in constant motion around an unknown universal center. Perhaps the Time Machine can only account for exact position instead of relative position, pulling from an inhabited alien world than happened to be in the same position our planet was once in 5,000 years later. Thank you for coming to my ted talk, never return it only gets worde
@wieldylattice3015 that’s a really fun idea! It does rely on a huge coincidence that another planet would be in that position, but regardless I really like the idea.
This might be random but I really like the opening of the Space Cook episode with this bizarre dart shaped spaceship with pulsating lights drifting over the Midwest or wherever. I personally think the setting is a quite a bit stronger for Space Kook than the Phantom Shadows
The caveman! He's the sherrif!
I would run without a doubt if I saw the Spooky Space Kook
3 WHO I ENVISION PLAYING AGE:30 (TONY ANTHONY STARK) AKA IRON-MAN IN MOVIES: The first I envision is actor star ANSEL ELGORT, he’s at age:30 now, and his height is 6’3” (1.91m) tall. The 2nd. I envision playing Tony, is actor star JACOB ELORDI, he’s at age:27 now, and his height is 6’5” tall. The 3rd. I envision play Tony, is actor star AUSTIN BUTLER, he’s at age:33 now, and his height is 6’(1.83m) tall.
I Like The Puppet Master From Scooby-Doo Wardrobe
I was hoping the No Face Zombie would be top 3. I remember when ibwas little in the early 90's we have the TV where the brightness/contrast was a roller dial and I don't know why but I played with it on this episode. I kid you not the No Face Zombie changed from his pink outfit to entirely blue. And he looks absolutely more terrifying in blue.
I'm shocked that the Ghost of Juan Carlos wasn't dead last. Anthos at least had some level of theatricality to his weirdness that made him semi off-putting. Also as someone with a lifelong fear of dogs, his dog scared me as a kid. Juan Carlos on the other hand looks like a party city conquistador outfit worn by an old fat dude. Nothing even remotely scary about him. Even as a kid he was the lamest Scooby villain.
Great video as always. Your run-down on the tar monster combined with the music playing in the background gave me chills. Also, do you plan on covering monsters from the Scooby-Doo movies since it's the next installment to the series, or are you planing on covering other Scooby-Doo media?
10,000 volts scariest most powerful
My last name is Wilcox
0:07 where’s the snow beast here?
The sound design for the Demons of the Underground was awful I'm sorry! All they did was hiss and it sounded like it was coming from an obese old man with emphysema! The design isn't that great either with the demons having a face looking like that of a Buddha turned evil!
which witch is which terrified me as a kid. i remember going to the movie store and renting scooby doo movies and every time that episode appeared i was scared shitless. the same thing goes for elias Kingston, that episode freaked me out, i always skipped it. but i think if i had to pick a favourite it would have to be the puppet master, mainly due to nostalgic reasons as it was the last episode on the first scooby DVD i got and it was like instantly a favourite even if it scared me. also totally agree with the space kook laugh. omg this was just such an amazing video!
Just discovered your channel through this series and im looking forward to the continuation of it
I was terrified of the witch doctors and the phantoms growing up. Also that one random cemetery ghost in the Don Knotts episode
The phantom ghosts were pretty scary because that episode showed coffins for members of the gang and just felt really creepy, to me.
I can't remember the episode name. But it was the one with Sonny & Cher. And the shark god. Imo. The best episode. And pretty scary when i was a young wipper snapper. :)
While space kooks laugh is eerie i couldnt whatch night of fright is no delight aka the greene ghosts till i was 15 thats how scaried i was of that episode
the most scary scooby doo movie is scooby doo on zombie island and the werecat people that was in it
Yeah, Good, Huh?
The space kook, ichabod crane headless horseman, and the jewel thief hide dude (and that clown guy) were the scariest to me as a kid. Kook and hide designs were scary, hides eyes were scary with those eye bags, and his hunch back was freaky, same with the clown guy his eyebags were freaky, the space kooks laugh was SCARY AS FUCKK. The headless horseman wasn’t scary, but the environment was scary, like the fog and lonliness feeling was scary. The environment was also scary for the kook and hide. Perhaps the scariest of all was those blue ghosts with the red eyes. The gang was all alone in a castle that felt like H.H Holmes murder castle (if u know, u know) the fact that there was two was even worse. It was terrifiying to me, and I remember having nightmares about it up to two years ago. For honorable mentions there was this camp episode that was randomly scary for me. And also there was this episode where the ghost kept trying to kidnap Daphne (or someone) and stealing her stuff, and the window was always open and TERRIFYING TO ME??
The robot always scared me,and the space kook with his laugh...that...nightmare inducing laugh...
Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if the phantom shadows inspired (at least on a subconscious level) ghost face from the Scream franchise, the long mouth, the hooded figures, the build up, being more than one killer, etc
@@joaovitorfarinabraga690 oh they did. It’s been confirmed in interviews, I’m like 90% sure
The skeleton spaceman (Space Kook)
The fact that the Phantom Shadows made a return in the Scooby-Doo/Supernatural crossover shows how much of an impact this monster has on audiences.
You know What I always found funny about gramp the vamp is the fact that's not the vampires real name and it was given by shaggy because he said it quite a few times in the episode, in fact the vampire is never actually given an official name in this episode
Top 10 Scooby doo villains that scared me as a kid: 1. Gramps the vamp 2. Ghost of Dr. Coffin 3. The phantom shadows 4. Space kook 5. Headless specter 6. The puppeteer 7. The mantis 8. The black knight 9. The jaguaro 10. Phantom racer
Ghost of Anthos’s dog is more scary than the main guy. I agree he looks dumb
The scene of the girl turning around as a vampire is the scariest scene (gave me goosebumps the first time I saw it. was such a sudden shock!) Gramps the vamp himself was run of the mill (the first time a vampire was the sole haunt; the only other vampire before that was part of the trio of Gaggling Ghosts. Dr coffin was also a typical human-like ghost, but the setting, and the other elements you mentioned made it one of the best. What ruined the whole Scooby Doo Show for me was the change of Velma's voice. It changed the whole personality of the character. Just wasn't her anymore. She doesn't even use big words anymore. In the vampire episode, she even had to consult a dictionary for a latin term, where she always knew that stuff already.
The warlock is pretty scary looking to me. He looks like actual Satan, and it was a rather unique idea. Making it more unique, this episode (along with the Menace in Venice and Beast of Bottomless Lake) were for some reason left out of the original 1980 syndicated package, and didn't appear again, until a decade later, on cable. I think the Willowaw is the scariest of all, the way it's fiery and swoops down in the night sky, and the sound it makes. As for the quality of the 3rd season, the music as well is more fitting for Superfriends, and I don't know yet what your position on Scrappy is, but people must keep in mind that this is the season that led them to see the need to add him or cancel the show, so it was clear the show had run out of steam! Yet, it's been billed (including on the DVD's) as the "third season of Where Are You"! (when it's really the furthest from it).
@@ETBX1 this is one of the struggles of this endeavor. Scary is subjective. I’m glad there are people who enjoy the Anthos design in a way that I can’t. I do my best to justify and rationalize all of my picks but at the end of the day, we’ll have differing opinions and that’s totally okay. As for Scrappy… he gets way more hate than he deserves is all I’ll say for now
@@singularitychannel823Also forgot to mention. The shark demon was virtually identical to the "shark god" of the Sonny and Cher episode.
I honestly think the villiana, chocolate, and strawberry phantoms should be the worst since it's literally a copy of the Phantom Shadow/ Green Ghosts. Boring, bland, and forgettable monsters are one thing, but completely ripping off an iconic monster without any originally is another
Coffin looked goofy, not scary. A mad doctor isnt a very scary concept.
Demon shark- sharks are terrifying without being demonic or ghostly.
Honestly for me personally as much as the Phantom Shadow, Spooky Space Kook and The Creeper and Captain Cutler scare the hell outta me, like legit some of em still send chills down my spine, I gotta give it to Charlie the robot for me personally. Frist off how the hell in the 1960s did they build such a strong robot, and second, thats where the horror lies, Charlie is not some human in a robot suit, its a real working and real malfunctioning robot with a cold icy stare that is brought to life brilliantly by the artstyle of the show in close ups and such. He goes through crates, brick walls, and everything else, if the show was to be re-tooled into a darker version of scooby doo, I feel the gang would be solving mysterious murders and such with a robot because a robot doesn't think, or feel, it just goes haywire and nothing else matters. To me that's where the real horror lies. Also can we get a legit Scooby Doo show where they solve murders and stuff like Family Guy joked about some 30 years ago?
