    Giordano's stuffed pizza is a hard pass for me, my family, and everyone else I know who's tried it. It is not a deep dish; it's a stuffed pizza. Most people with whom I have shared Giordano's thin crust agree that the thin crust is decent to good, but EVERYONE I know that has tried their stuffed pizza ranks it at the bottom of the list. I was really disappointed when I tried it. The most-liked stuffed pizza seems to be Nancy's, whose co-founder supposedly invented stuffed pizza.

    I just made this, it's in the oven now. However, I had to mix the dough by hand. My dough ended up being rather stiff, even after proofing. Hopefully someone can tell me what I did wrong, my dough was not able to form a ball it was so stiff. I also do not have a convection oven. Most home cooks don't.

      @@TheSmartFitLife Quedó perfecto, incluso con el pollo congelado. Uso el caldo para una sopa de temporada y el pollo para las comidas de mi familia; haciéndolo así quedó suavecito y jugoso. Es la primera vez que lo hago en esta olla eléctrica, al usar el modo saltear programado, puedo dejar la cebolla ahí y dedicarme a limpiar el pollo o las verduras sabiéndooslo que no se quemará la cebolla. Por otro lado, en la estufa esto lleva unos 40 minutos o más y no siempre queda jugoso el pollo.☺ Me ayudaron mucho, gracias.

      1 ripe banana, mashed 1 egg 1/4 cup of milk (any kind, including dairy or plant-based) 1/2 cup all-purpose flour1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened) 1/4 cup sugar (adjust based on your preference for sweetness) 1/2 teaspoon baking powder A pinch of salt Optional: 1/4 cup chocolate chips or nuts for added texture Instructions: Prepare the Batter: In a bowl, mix the mashed banana with the egg and milk until well combined. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing. If using, fold in the chocolate chips or nuts. Prep the Pan: Lightly grease a cake pan that fits into your air fryer basket. You can also line it with parchment paper for easier removal. Pour the Batter: Transfer the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing out the top. Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 160°C (320°F) for about 3 minutes.Place the pan in the air fryer basket and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cooking times may vary based on your air fryer model, so start checking around 15 minutes. Plain flour is just one ingredient, while cake mix includes flour, sugar, and baking powder. Substituting cake mix for flour would make the recipe sweeter and affect the texture.       We know who he is and I don't agree with much of what he says or promotes. However, if you prefer that lifestyle and can make it work for you then I respect that decision.       Oh you're one of those, "diet industry", "they", "corporations", "the man", type of people. Again, of you prefer full fat options and can eat it and maintain a healthy weight, but fitting it into your calories then I congratulate you. Don't change what works for you. However, what works for you doesn't work for everyone. Again that may be physiologically or psychologically speaking. A professional listens to each person individually and attempts to work with that person to create a plan that works for them. The "wrong" thing to do is cookie cut exercise programs and diets for everyone. We are very similar on a basic psychological level, however there are soany factors influencing our lives from socioeconomic status to cultural backgrounds and geographical locations. These other factors outside of nutrition over time create habits and preferences which are engraved in the neurological pathways and are not just simply broken by saying this food is good and that one is bad. In short, if you like full fat options good for you. Our philosophy is have your pie and eat it too, although you may have to alternate the recipe accommodate the calories or another option eat the full fat option, but just less of it. So the only thing to screw here is the right and wrong and good versus bad perspective towards food. It's not so simple.

    I love me a Chicago pizza but Pepperoni is not my thing in a Chicago style pizza. Back in the 70s as a kid it was Sausage all the way! The classic in my mind is always S A U S A G E!!!!!!!

      @benjeberkeley9660 I agree! Italian sausage is better on Chicago Deep Dish than pepperoni. On tavern style pizza cut in those little squares...pepperoni is great.

    One pro advice: Don´t use sugar to balance the acidity out, use a small pinch of baking soda. It neutralizes the acid und you get a naturally sweet sauce.

      @photicsneezeone thanks for the advice. I added the sugar because it reminds me of Paisan's pizza's sauce which is a little sweeter than most. I'm going to take your advice and maybe I just reduce it more to make it sweeter.

    De entre los ingredientes está "harina de uso común", cuál es esa harina? Será harina de trigo?. Si es así no interesa mucho la receta ya que para muchos el preparar el pan de maíz es precisamente para evitar usar harina de trigo (por lo del gluten)

    I live in Omaha, Nebraska so I’m very happy Davlo Pizza is a pizzeria that sells Chicago deep dish pizza which likely is the same as Giordano’s deep dish pizza. The deep dish pizza looks identical to Giordano’s, and it tastes the exact same which I doubt are coincidences.

    For the meat I like the pinch method, form a giant ball from your meat, pinch off a thumbsized portion, flatten it in your grasp and place it on the edge, repeat until the edge has a good circle of meat, and work your way into the middle, leave some small gaps so the cheese can bubble up through the meat layer.

      Hola. No se a lo que te refieres bajar el arroz. Pero asegúrate de mezclarlo todo bien antes de cerrar la tapa, por que sino el arroz se queda al fondo. Y también que la presión esté low.       Hola @pirotlacase. Solo estaba enseñando la fricción y la verdad que no me enfoque en que la cebolla saliera pelada. Además cuando hago caldo no pelo la cebolla. No es necesario, pero hay gustos para todo. Gracias por fijarte y la próxima vez lo grabaré con la cebolla pelada. 👌
