Very good video. Got my first phtoography mission on sunday and this will help me a lot ! Thanks
This is brilliant 🎉
Dude, you paid a forcible bribe to the usual corrupt Mexican authorities.
Hi. Am I correct in saying the Goggles 2 WILL NOT work with Mini 4 Pro WHILE JUSING the RCN2...despite firmware updates?
Wonderful 🎉
I recently took my drone to Mexico and had 0 issues going there and back. I think cops in Cancun know tourists are carrying money and can pay for things like these so they care more than they do when you go to a small city in Mexico. According to a few people on Reddit there’s actually a form you can fill out stating that you’re bringing in a drone that’s worth more than $500 and are bringing it back with you. The tax is because they assume you’re taking it to sell it or they know they can easily pull the money from your. I would ask for a supervisor and state that you’re not leaving the drone and fill out the document.
The same thing happened to me in Cancun Mexico. I’m going to challenge the charge and tell my credit card company that it was under duress. The ‘military’ customs agent threatened me to confiscate my drone if I didn’t pay. A guy next to me was being taxed for his iPad. What’s next, your clothes in your suitcase! Incredibly corrupt and dishonest policies!
Thank you! Great skills and informative video. Well done. I liked and Subscribed
That's Awesome! I'm really glad you found it informative. I appreciate your comment👍
Great way to show us how to do it and take advantage of these settings. Can I use these settings for hyperlapse?
If you're talking about using waypoints for hyperlapses. I find that feature is less refined than the waypoint flight mode, and you don't have as many settings to work with in the hyperlapse mode.
Can you please send me your contact inormation? I have a question about the goggles versus motion controller.
Hi, I do have an email in my channel details.
Thanks brade
You're welcome! Thanks for watching
No specific details on how you operate the system with the google, navigate through the menus, which buttons do you use. Thanks
I guess I could have included some of that detail. There really isn't a lot of settings available once you've connected the goggles and RC2. Turns out that some of these settings like FPV or follow mode need to be set prior to connect the goggles.
Cool video. Did somebody find a way to use spectator mode in a second googles3 using mini4pro? Thanks
I haven't been able to test it because I don't have 2 sets of Goggles 3 but from what I understand you would have to go into the Transmission menu on one set of goggles and turn on Broadcasting. Then go into the Transmission menu on the second set of goggles and select audience and then from there I think you should be able to see and select the goggles that are broadcasting. I think it should work the same for the mini 4 pro or the avata2 but I haven't tried it.
@@CreateandKaptivate That's exactly how it works with the avata 2. We tried it. With the mini4pro the spectator option doesn't appear. I tried everything twice with support, each time for an hour. It's not intended. The support was surprised themselves. A bit of a shame for a product that is advertised as compatible.
Many thanks for an awesome tutorial... I've been practising these, and it's a great little tool. One question.... when i set the mission to 'continue' on signal loss.... have you tested if it will continue a mission for a long time of signal loss? Also if i set a (pre) mission that goes further than my signal can cope with (so i am disconnected for more than a short time) does the drone know when to return if the battery is low? In other words, can i send the drone in a long line out away from me, will it know when to RTH on the remaining power even though it's disconnected from my controller?
I actually haven't had the signal drop out for more than a few seconds, but that is an interesting question that you brought up. I really don't know if the drone would return home. in the situation you described. I kind of think it would because the return to home automatically triggers when the battery gets low.
@CreateandKaptivate I wonder if the whole flight plan gets uploaded to the drone? This would kind of make sense as there is the 'continue' option on signal loss. If so then I presume the drone will continue the whole course even when out of range with the RC. But I wonder if the drone only knows the battery power whilst connected? It would be great if it did monitor the battery power itself, then it could go far out of range on a course and still return when power is low. I'm in Europe so I have to use CE mode. I kind of want to get a longer flight range via using WayPoints. If I find out any info on this I'll let you know.
I can't say for sure because I really don't know. But just from my experience, I would think the flight plan does get uploaded to the drone, enabling the continue, feature like you said. And I also think the drone would be aware of it's battery life and be able to return to home on low battery. There probably is a way to somewhat test it in a controlled environment. Something to think about🤔
This has to be the best tutorial I have seen
Nice.. I have one question. 12 or 48 megapiksel? And another question..16:9 or 3:2
That's actually a good question. I've mostly used 16:9 and 12MP just because that's how I usually have my camera setup and I believe you have to select 48MP and 3:2 before going into hyperlpase mode to get those settings. Anyway those are settings I'm going to have to try out a bit more. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@CreateandKaptivate you welcome..Since I bought the mini 4 pro, I immediately put it on 48 megapixels. Because logic tells me that would be the best for the quality of the image.Because I took it a little higher for the photo. But the picture quality is so bad that I was disappointed. I was looking for a solution. What am I doing wrong? And so I have find some comment.. That it is better to take pictures with 12 megapixels. And really..the quality is better. In addition, one image when I transfer it to the PC is 96 MB in size. Which is a lot. Since my Nikon z6 is about 36 MB. I don't understand that either. And they say that 16:9 is not good, because due to the size of the sensor, 3:2 is best.So I think 12 megapixels and 3:2 might be best for hyperlapse. But I have yet to try that. Since I am new to drone.
I mainly use 12MP for the same reasons you mentioned, I wasn't very impressed with the quality and the files were huge. And that is correct, 3:2 does allow you to use the full sensor but if you were to crop that down to 16:9, that is basically what you would get from the camera in using 16:9. So using 3:2 gives you more image to work with.
Hi mates! What is the difference of joystick action between on and off slide easy acro mode? Thank
Really I don't think there is a difference, either way the drone just flies sideways.
So once you've planned the flight and press go does it automatically fly to the first waypoint?
Yes, it will fly to the first waypoint when you press go. Unless you have it set to start at a different waypoint other than 1 then it will fly to that waypoint.
i would like to record my daughters cross country run. the track is in a figure 8, is a point of interest required? can it just fly and record the figure 8? thank you in advance.
Using a point of interest will keep the camera locked on that particular point, so that wouldn't really be useful in your situation. You could potentially program waypoints to have the drone fly the course. If you did that you would have setup the waypoints so that the track stays in the shot moving from waypoint to waypoint.
this is really good content, finally we get information how to activate our FCC signal , thanks a lot
Good to hear, I'm glad you found the video informative. I appreciate the comment👍
Great, thanks so much for this!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it👍
thank you
You're welcome😊
Thanks for a VERY informative video ! Are you in Canada ? Beautiful scenery !
You are very welcome😊 And yes I am in Canada.
Thanks bro, we appreciate your content 🙏
My pleasure! I appreciate the comment👍
Orbits are not hard with the motion controller. I don't think you've got the hang of it. Find the gain and expo tuning. Also, you can have level horizon with motion controller. Change to follow me mmode in settings, just like the rc2. They just have the opposite default settings. Honestly, I've found some reviewers post their reviews before they have figured it all out. I prefer the other kind, or at least people who are great at figuring stuff out on their feet, know what I mean?
Yeah, I know what you mean, thanks for the feedback.
i have an issue with hyperlapse, when i set the first waypoint at 100 ft .its starting at 400 ft. the waypoint wil not starting because it reach the maximum altitude. how is that possible? have you any suggestions for that?
Really I can't say I've had the best of luck using waypoints for hyperlapses. More specifically at night or when I try to run a saved waypoint setup. I'm not really sure why that is especially since I don't run into those issues with the normal waypoints.
Thank you for this super informative tutorial!!Best one I've seen. Wish I would have found this first, would've saved a lot of time and frustration.
Haha, at least you found it, and I'm glad that it was helpful! Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it👍
How do we get head tracking to work?
Unfortunately, I don't think head tracking is available when using the RC2.
👌🤏🤏🤏👌🤏👌👌🤏🤏
Thanks👍
Thanks a lot for the info
You're very welcome, thanks for the comment!
Hate the loud head pounding music. Made me RUN to turn it down but baby still woke up and started crying.
Sorry for the music, I know it's not for everyone. Thanks for the feedback.
Another banger of a video. You show the outcome first. Then you explain it and show the set up. Then show more examples again. I’ve learned so much from your hyperlapse videos and can’t say to try this with the way point feature.
That's awesome! I'm really glad you found the videos helpful. Thanks for the comment👍
RTH won't have the option to use the RC position? For cases like the ones where you are on a boat?
Yes, that's a situation where it wouldn't work.
@@CreateandKaptivate thanks, there's a limitation or at least very important settings to consider to flight FPV from a moving object (boat)
You can switch to FPV if you do it before you launch the drone
Haha yeah, I didn't realize that at first. I did eventually try it.
Are you using the 45 or 30 min battery?
I was using the standard battery for the Avata 2. I believe there is only one, and the specs actually say it's 23 min.
Thank you for taking the time to explain all of the options and functions, I now have a much better idea of what the drone can do, also what it all means. All the other videos show you how to do things such as way points or some of the more easily accessible options, but not how to use all the settings for the different modes. Well done, I've subscribed to your channel looks like it is worth keeping tabs on it for more great videos.
Thankyou! I really appreciate the comment. The thing is, I enjoy experimenting with the different settings but it can be quite time consuming. So I figure I could save other people a bit of time by sharing what I've learned. I'm glad you found it helpful😊
Pretty good man
Thanks man! I appreciate the comment.
@@CreateandKaptivate no problem, keep up the work, nice to see a channel that actually shows something and how to , without skipping over it or talking about what everyone else is, like if you're going to do a 5 things you didn't know or something make it different. Like in a tutorial way rather than use brush over them like the other channels anyway rock on ✌️
cheers👍
Will it not be better and faster for us to simply subscribe to everyone's channel who comments on this video and have all return the favor, on the current count that will be over 900 new subscribers ,let's go guys 👍
Set fpv mode before you hook up the whole setup.
Good to know, I hadn't tried that but was wondering if it would work. Thanks!
Great video, really comprehensive, shit music though,
I know the music may not have been the best choice, but I'm glad you enjoyed the video otherwise. Thanks for the comment👍
Genuine great video and the music I guess is personal preference, but I just thought the videos were really awesome and the music sort of distracted from them ... +1 sub from me cheers for reply 🫡
There have been a few comments about the music. I do appreciate it though, feedback is good. cheers👍
Please consider making a beginner davinci resolve series with focus on editing drone footage. I want to learn everything from you!
That is something I would like to do more of. I have a bunch of footage and video ideas, I may have to include some Davinci Resolve.
I love your videos so much. You are by far my favorite drone channel. Please don't ever change. I love how detailed you are and your manner of speaking. It's so clear and well thought out
Wow, thank you! I really appreciate the feedback👍
That cursor function is frustrating. It's slow, laggy and inconsistent. I have to use the button/joystick on the goggles most of the time.
I know what you mean, I almost never use the cursor. I've gotten use to the buttons on the goggles, and I don't mind using them. Also, I fly with the FPV controller most of the time now.
@@CreateandKaptivate I wish the buttons on the goggles were on the left side so you don't have to use your controller hand to use them.
Good point, that would be helpful.
Seems like a HUGE waste of time and battery when you could just use tracking and track the bridge and fly the drone strait. At least for this example. Never use way points except for hyperlapse. If you cant just tap on the screen to place way points and you have to fly your drone to locations it is just a waste it seems to me. Just my $0.02
I agree, there are better methods for capturing simpler shots. The thing I like about waypoints is you can get smooth consistent movements, but they can be time consuming to setup. You can setup waypoints just using the map on the controller, without the drone flying. It's still time consuming but it saves battery.
@@CreateandKaptivate I found that doing it on the controller is tedious because of the size of the screen. I guess I have been flying long enough to just be able to do it manually right when I want the shot. Now if you need a repeatable flight path for projects that require several visits over time, they can not be beat.
There's no denying that they are tedious to setup. Similar to you, I will do most of my shots manually except I do cruise control a fair bit.
What do you think of using waypointd with poi ?
I haven't actually tried that, I may have to give it a try, and see how it works out.
Love the shots of Calgary!!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed them👍
Hi Mark, I am Harry from the Netherlands, not the youngest anymore when retired, and recently I have the mini3 pro. So hardly any experience with drone hobby but I plan to make it a nice hobby. I will watch all your videos and save them, I am very happy with the way you explain it. My English is far from perfect but with the help of "Google Translate" I come a long way. I hope you will make many more videos. greetings, Harry
