Spiced Tea Ice Cream
With a subtle tea flavour and warming spices- get ready to discover your new favourite ice cream flavour!
Ingredients:
• 150ml whole milk
• 15g loose-leaf breakfast tea
• 1-2 tsp Turkish Drinking Spice (Cinnamon, Cardamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Clove, Black pepper)
• 1tsp vanilla extract
• 600ml double cream
• One can of condensed milk (397ml)
Method:
1. Pour the milk into a medium-sized saucepan and add the tea leaves.
2. Turn on the heat and wait until the milk is steaming.
3. Remove from the heat, stir, and set aside for 10 minutes.
4. Add the Turkish drinking spice, vanilla extract and cream to the saucepan and stir.
5. Place on heat until just boiling, take off and set aside to cool for 1 hour.
6. Sieve the mixture to remove the tea leaves and any chunky bits of spice, and chill for at least 2 hours until completely cool.
7. Add the condensed milk and mix until thick, creamy and almost at soft peaks. If it doesn't thicken, freeze for 30 minutes and whisk again!
8. Transfer to a freezer-proof container (a loaf tin works well) and cover with greaseproof paper.
9. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight.
10. Remove from the freezer for 5 minutes before scooping & enjoy!

Definitely trying it. Thank you for the recipe! I wonder if it would also work with chicory coffee...
Let us know how it goes! :)
The initial splatter ruined it for me😑
Not even good espresso
Coffee lover❤
😋🤤
There really is a tutorial for everything on UA-cam, thanks man
Yes I have wondered. And I'm still wondering.
Hi Dave! Effectively, these machines separate the cherry flesh from the coffee beans. The pulping machines contain a rotating drum, and as it rotates, the fruit is pressed against a metal plate. This pressure squeezes the coffee beans out, and the machine collects the beans on one side and discards the pulp (cherry flesh) on the other. I hope this helps to explain what is happening in the video. 😊
@twochimpscoffee Thank you for the response, that does help a lot 😃
Hello dear friend. You've made a wonderful video of tiramisu cookies recipe. It looks so delicious and mouthwatering. I've watched the full video and it's a very helpful video. Keep it up and stay connected. I'm your new subscriber. Thanks for sharing this beautiful recipe ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow, what a great cookie recipe. Looks super delicious 💕💕💕
👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This patently pedestrian method results in more fine particles AKA sludge ending up in your cup. It's no wonder why people struggle to get good results from a French Press.
Plain and simple instructions. Thank you
How to throw away remaining coffee syrup after using?
In the zink my friend
I think I am doing something wrong because the water is not running trough
Good Morning. Depending on the tablets used, the water doesn't always drip through at the same rate; sometimes, there will be very little, while in others, the jug will be full. I hope this helps.
Me too. No water coming through.
Make sure the machine is off. Then hold the 2 buttons on the right in, and then turn the machine on. It'll run like it's pouring coffee, then go silent and make you think it's not working, then run again etc. It will beep twice when it's done.
Newer machines go into the drip tray. You don't need to worry about the pot
Can't wait to make this...
❤️❤️❤️
Best instructional video i have ever seen. Straight to the point no fuss.
Looks great! Thanks for sharing 😊
Do You leave the tea leaves in the teapot the entire time?
Yes for the full 3-5 minutes. We hope this helps! 🙂
Sorry, i meant after the 3-5 mins. We have a teapot that we make tea “for two” in. This usually gets us 2 cups each. While drinking the first cup should the leaves stay in the pot with the remaing tea or should they be filtered out somehow? Thanks!!
Ah, good question. Technically, you should pour this out into a different vessel to stop it from brewing. If you do leave it in there is might become too strong. We hope this helps!@@travelinghamburger6093
That is how you do it
Thanks🎉
Thank you so much for the recipe!
You're welcome :-)
Tnx man!
thank you! i received some as a gift and was wondering how to use it :-) youre the best!
Couldn't read all the squares, went to quick. Stylish video though
Thanks for your comment - we're pleased you like the look of the video. We've also included the steps in the description of the video - we hope this helps!
You lost me at saying TBSP, then using a non-standard kitchen spoon
Thank you for this video I've been wondering how to use my syrup
You are so welcome! :-)

WTF does that mean, Two Chimps Coffee? Is that funny or what? I don't see the link between coffee and a Chimp. Explain please.
Good Morning. Two Chimps Coffee is the name of our coffee roastery, there isn't a link between coffee and chimps. We named ourselves Two Chimps because we wanted something fun and playful which was different from other roasteries, and so Two Chimps Coffee was born. I hope this helps and thanks for reaching out. x
Which coffee would you recommend
Hey! We'd recommend a light to medium roast for a cafetiere - however everyone's taste buds are different. :-)
wow goooood👍🍀
That’s a French press isn’t it
Good Morning. Yes, that is correct. A cafetiere is another name for a French Press. I hope this helps, but please shout if you have any other questions. Take care, Laura x
What are the ingredients
Just updated the video description to include the ingredients! 😋
Plunge? 4 minutes after pouring in water or 4 minutes after stirring?
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to comment. We would recommend 4 minutes in total, so an additional 2 minutes after stirring :-) Enjoy your coffee!
so can i use this coffee to add to an iced coffee or mocha?
Thanks for your comment Yasmin. Yes, you can use our coffee for iced coffee or a mocha. Make your cafetiere with a little more coffee and cold water, leave in the fridge for 24 hours and then pour over cold milk and ice. Hope this helps!
@@twochimpscoffee thank you!! also, how long does the coffee last if i keep it refrigerated?
@@chickenmadryaz No problem! We'd recommend using your cold brew within 5 days if you keep it in the fridge. Hope this helps!
The one thing I wanted to get from this video was how much coffee to put in, which you can't see. You had one job!!
Hi there Matt. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I thought this seemed very strange and so I have checked the clip for you this morning. At 21 seconds in, two boxes appear on the right-hand side, one with the amount of coffee we suggest as a starter, the second is per volume of water. I hope this helps. Take care, Andy
Damn it, I forgot to do the happy dance. I have failed you.
😂
How is that stirring?
So the coffee will be cold after all that waiting?
Good Morning. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. We find that with the lid on the coffee stays perfectly hot enough to drink. However, the beauty of a cafetiere (along with other brew devices) is that you can make it as you wish to suit you. This video is just our way (and one of many ways) to brew using a cafetiere. How do you brew yours?
I don't the this comment is from someone that uses a cafetiere.
There is nothing as flavoursome as having freshly ground coffee in a cafeteria. Huge difference in taste and aroma.
Thanks for watching - yes fresh coffee is amazing! Enjoy :-).
I absolutely agree! It beggars belief how some outlets get it so wrong using machines costing thousands of pounds!
@@MichaelTaylor-gt2ge To be honest, I've never liked ANY coffee that I've tried from a retail outlet. Give me my cafetiere or filter machine any day.
@@DavideMazzetti believe it or not, the only coffee we find quite nice while out is Mc Donald's...
That's for sure! Coffee should be drunk only like this. 😉
Good video but it needs to run a bit slower and give the viewer enough time to read what's on the screen and follow the instructions.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. We will be filming more brew guides and videos soon and will be sure to use this feedback when we do. Thanks again, Chimps.
Just pause the video......
Aww I noticed too, I had to keep rewinding lol
@@monkeyjokey pausing the video is effort
Go to Settings at top right corner and change Playback speed...
i cant belive this
I only wait 4 minutes, so it melts the butter in my cup!
its the chimp costume and the dance for me
THANK YOU My ma bought me my first Cafetiere today with some Cuban coffee :)
👍👹
Just tried for the first time! 👌👌 Will let you know how good is it! 👌
Thank you - Enjoy!
Did you die after drinking it?

@@twochimpscoffee well done this is the tutorial i was in need of to the point and entertaining thanks
6 mins for French pressed coffee? Unlike my coffee strong and piping hot 3-4 mins at the most it should be around 90-95c out of the kettle and around 70-80c in the cup if you waited 6 mins it would be cold
Good Morning and thanks for taking the time to get in touch. As you will know, the beauty of a French Press is how versatile they can be and the many different ways they can be used. Our way is just one of many. We find that if you leave the lid on, this retains enough of the heat for the time mentioned. Personally, we dont like coffee that is so hot that you cannnot taste its natural flavours, but this is the beauty of the french press - there are many different ways to achieve a similar outcome. Thanks for sharing your method with us too.
I use mine everyday and have left it for up to 10 mins. The glass retains a lot of heat so when i pour its still hot. I like mine to brew a bit more. I guess its all down to preference, do what gives best results for you. Happy sipping.
I don’t understand people who drink hot drinks straight away, I have to leave it about 10 mins before it won’t scald my tongue
@@Thomashorsman ditto 👅🔥
Whoever made this footage must have been on a caffeine high! Too fast, had to rewind to read the words as they popped up all over the screen and I'd miss the last line. A word of advice to all film makers, when you're instructing anything by visual means DONT use subtitles as it distracts the observer, use a voice over and no stupid music!!!
Hi Richard. Thanks for your comments on our video above. We are sorry that it wasnt to your liking. If you struggle with our videos again, the steps are also laid out as a how to guide below the video. I hope this helps, but in the meantime I will forward your comment to our creative team. Thanks again, Andy.
UA-cam has a feature to slow down videos lmao just use that
lol you can just pause the video
Err, how about not pausing the video but getting the video right first time around.
