I mean likes lol
There ain't no way this has only 2 comments it needs more subbing
How much does it weigh in total?
Never got a chance to weight it but it feels like a rim brake carbon road bike probably 18-22lbs
I own a 2010 Specialized Rock hopper . But I bought it in 2012. For the 12 years I've owned it and still going strong. I'm getting my money's worth out of it. Just recently I had new rims and pedals installed on it. It beats a Walmart bicycle all the way.
I'm looking to purchase this same bike. As a bike pro, what is your opinion on this one?
If you like something that is fast yet capable of anything it's the bike for you. It's just an overall comfortable fast commuter. Have you test road one as yet? If not try to the future shock itself is a great feature. And if you like to play around jump off curbs do a wheelie or two it will hold up to the abuse
@@bikesandbalding I appreciate that. Most of my riding on limestone trails. I can't decide on the x 5.o or the TREK FX sport 5. Any suggestions one the TREK?
Nice bike! 3 weeks ago, i bought the 6.0 x and i mounted it with Hunt carbon wheels, a wider 710mm and higher 25mm flat bar instead of 640mm, and 42cm pathfinder pro tyres instead of Roubaix 32 cm. The confort is amazing. A very polyvalent andsmooth bike. Cheers from France.
are the tools required for the build already included in the box ?
If you order direct to your house I believe that box comes with tools to assemble. But if not just a 4, 5,6 mm Allen keys will get the job done
why did you remove the air from the tyres just to fill it up again? just curiosity haha
Installed sealant
Bro wheelied to work 😂😂 dope
The previous gen ,5.0x was so beautiful, the aesthetic is a back step on the new ones
The look is not the best but the way it rides and performs is very smooth!
@@bikesandbaldingI’m indecisive between diverge and the 4.0x
Curious what size is the bike and how tall are you?
This bike was a s3 which would be to small for me. I'm 6 ft tall and I would rather the s5 personally.
@@bikesandbaldingok. Im 6 ft 2 and wondering between s4 and s5.
Can’t wait to visit back in the US from Thailand where I’m retired .But I bought one of these a few months ago and had it sent to my buddies where I’m staying in Myrtle Beach for 2 weeks . I have a Trek and Scott mountain bikes here in Thailand but wanted something a bit more fun to ride and comfortable at age 70 ! Thanks for the video
This bike is comfortable and fun to do anything. I came from the BMX background and this holds up to anything you through at it. Hydro disc is the best thing added to this base model
I think you need more suspension.
$12k?
12k from specialized website mrsp yes but from your local mom and pop shop we can get you better pricing
Imagine spending north of 12k for a bike and it gets thrown together like that. No carbon grease on the cockpit assembly, not a torque meter in sight. Man, that workshop is a tip, I would be embarrassed to put that video online. Have some pride in your workplace and clean that sh*t up, imagine if the paying customer came to the back of the shop to see where their bike was carefully assembled - I bet that would be the last time they visited your store.
What is the zipper that you installed in the neck? What is its benefit?
That's the future shock system from specialized. Gives the rider 20mm of travel to smooth your ride
Did you remove the tires and tubes and tape the wheels before putting new the sealant?
Curios is That the 29or 27.5 wheels
29in
What's the difference between this and the comp? And does any of them come with through axles
I don't believe any come through axle.
But I could be wrong I would have to look into more
I think the biggest difference is the comp is Nine gear i think this one is 11 or possibly 12.
@@207greenroom207 11spd, 11-51t
Is there a difference between the 2022 and 2024 model? besides the color of course
I believe color changed as well as what components come on the bike. Current year I believe the rear der is a micro shift with advent shifter. Still a non tubeless wheelset and tire combination. But fun affordable bike to get into the hobby
@@bikesandbalding Looks like the 2024 model has shimano deor and its tubless
@@JineeshSadasivan For rockhopper Expert 2024 they still have typo/mismatch on specialized website. General product details mentions "Tektro hydraulic disc brakes pack", while Technical Specifications has "Shimano BR-MT200, hydraulic disc, 160,180mm".
Nice! 👍✌️
Things I like from big S are their contact points. Tires, saddles and hand grips mostly good to go from the start, no matter what range of bike you choose.
Thank you for showing the handle bars
I bought a Rockhopper in 2017 and over the years I upgraded pretty much everything. Now it is unrecognizable. Sram GX 1X12, Fox 32 stepcast fork, DT swiss 1700 wheelset, Vittoria Barzo/Mezcal tires, dropper post, Shimano XT brakes, chester pedals, upgraded Sram BB, carbon 750 mm handlebar, Ergon seat. The idea was I buy a better frame like a Specialized Epic HT and just use the components but I haven't yet. I'm pretty sure if you added all that up I paid 2-3 times on upgrades over the years than the actual bike cost. But I love it.
I would like to see it. Can you post a video with your Rockhopper on your UA-cam Channel?
I'm getting that exact bike delivered tomorrow. Looks like simple assembly. Thanks.
Brakes rubbed until I trued the rotors. But after the test ride and re alignment it was great. I built 2 and both came out great. And it wheelies great to!
