Hi Dr. Hall, I had a gummy bear 460 cc 10 years ago, placed subglandular. At first they looked really natural, but are too large for my taste. Now 10 years later, I found there are capsular contracture or other reason, now my breasts sag ( the nipples position sagged down to just 2 cm above the breast fold, so now my nipples look downward facing, and they're positioned at 2/3 down the shape of my implants. I'm planning on exchanging a much smaller ones, around 350cc, will my breasts look too saggy, or I would have to exchange a size larger and closer to 460cc? Also, do you suggest in my case, this would be my 3rd breast operation ( my first time were placed completely under the muscles and I had grade 3 capsular contracture), should I get dual plane or sub facia, or sub glandular? Thanks!

I want to buy myself the bra I want to take with me to my appointment so I can test it out at my consultation, is that a good idea?

I have flat saggy breasts with little tissue, not much fullness. I fall out easily of a B cup and too big for an A cup. I want a pear shaped breast but more fullness on the top. I don’t mind push-up bras either but I want to see the fullness with and without a bra.

I don’t understand how it can be different when it does the exact same thing freezing the muscles it just lasts longer and works quicker but the result should be the same surely ?

Postop 4/18/2023 this is so informative. I'm afraid my left breast might have that problem with my left breast . My really good dr had to remove my old capsular contracture from in front of the muscle and put new implants behind the muscle he did an excellent job but he had to do a lot of work on me and I understand there would or could be complications. However my left breast bled a lot after surgery and has lots of bruising around the sides and under the breast and some tingling and pressure. My right breast has a little of the same feelings However no bleeding at all and some pressure but they are soft my left breast is more visibly larger than the right when my clothing is off. When if at all could I notice the capsular contracture forming. PS I dont have nipple sensation yet in either breast im not expecting much at this time, I just want them soft. I am a 56 year old woman of color inquiring. Thank you very much in advance.

"AbbVie Medical " was Allergan, THEY ARE STILL REMOVING IMPLANTS! If you have 3M, McGhan & Inamed, "Allergan & AbbVie Medical" are responsible- ALL of the older implant names were changed by Allergan! That should be illegal, it HIDES the information!!! MCGHAN, 3 M & INAMED are now called Natrelle by Allergan- The FDA needs to address this issue!!! TRUTH- Allergan changed the name of the older implants which hides the true manufacturers, the Recall includes the older implants of McGhan, 3M, Inamed which was bought by Allergan, now is AbbVie. AbbVie is searching for women that have those implants. The true info being hidden by the name Natrelle, they renamed all the implants that- So, if the recipients does not know this, it is hard to discover that their old implants are included in that FDA Recall and covered by AbbVie.

So…not a lot we can do then besides hopefully picking a good surgeon that does all of these things and not get piercings in sensitive areas. I seldom need extensive dental work but that’s definitely worth noting as well. Most of these things are up to the surgeon though and out of the patients hands.

I've had silicone implants since the age of 20 and now I'm 62. No problems with them at all but the key is to faithfully, every day do your breast exercises. If not, they turn hard. So forever it is a must. My surgeon said that there is a membrane under the implants and that you cannot let it heal ever.

I am 4 weeks post op lift/augmentation and my stitches were just removed, but it left a little surface opening. The doctor said it will heal and close on its own. Is this correct? I bought some closure strips to try and help it.

Please help answer this immediately after having 2 stage breast lift in March 22, then on May 20 22, silicone breast implants behind the muscle… I freaked out when bandages were removed by my surgeon… I have severe nipple inversion caused by surgery … because I freaked out is why my surgeon put on a suction device on me… the breast with the nipple inversion is not hard but not dropping like the other side -I get that, But can’t find any information about nipple inversion caused by breast lift and augmentation… I’m 8 days out Thank you
