It’s the Stardew Valley Million Dollar Pizza Challenge!
If you search for Stardew Valley pizza challenges, there are quite a few and all have different rules.
I will be outlining the rules that I’ve designed for myself to keep the gameplay challenging but fun.
The goal is to have one million dollars by primarily cultivating pizza ingredients and cooking pizza.
That’s one million dollars CASH, enough to spend on a warp obelisk to the desert or Ginger Island.
That does not mean the total amount earned. I think the challenge would be over too quickly if I allowed myself to just go by the total amount.
Let’s get started with the general rules:
I must choose the Joja route - because I’m not planting most crops, and I won’t be raising all of the animals the community center isn’t happening. Haters of Pierre rejoice!
I must get this out of the way - I am not making all my money by cooking pizza. I think that would be boring to watch and not fun to play. The recipe in game form pizza is flour, tomato, and cheese. I will be growing crops and raising animals for products that would conventionally be found on pizza. Yes, that includes pineapple. I’m talking standard pizza, not seafood pizza, or taco pizza, dessert pizza, or breakfast pizza.
I will be foraging and planting mixed seeds and mixed flower seeds. I can sell, eat, gift, craft, or fulfill quests with these. I can’t put them into the seed maker and make more.
Wheat may be ground into the mill to make flour. I probably won’t have a mill in year one, so that wheat can be sold as is. Once I have obtained a mill it must be ground into flour if I’m going to use it to make pizza.
An important note about that - I do not need a sheep or rabbit for cloth, you can trade 3 aquamarines to the desert trader on Wednesdays to obtain cloth.
Fishing is permitted as anchovies are used on pizza.
All fish may be sold for profit.
I will have an anchovy fishpond. The roe from the fishpond may be sold but it is not allowed to be put into preserve jars
I know that this is getting into territory where it would be very easy to just fish all day and make money very quickly. The reason I’m permitting fishing is due to wheat being the only fall crop available, and no appropriate crops available in Winter.
I know my way around a fishing rod, but I don’t particularly enjoy fishing so there’s no chance I’d be exploiting it for cash.
Here is a list of permitted crops:
For spring we have cauliflower and starting year two garlic will be available
In the summer there are hot peppers, tomatoes, wheat and pineapple if I ever get to ginger island
Fall has wheat
Animal products include cheese, goat cheese, and truffles which require cows, goats, and pigs
And when Demetrius opens up the farm cave, I have to choose mushrooms
Finally, we have what machines I’m permitted to use and how I’m permitted to utilize them
Using the dehydrator is permitted only for the following:
Mushrooms, hot peppers, and tomatoes
Preserve makers are permitted for tomatoes only as it lends itself to tomato sauce, I know it’s tomato jelly in the game, but I’m using my imagination here
The cheese maker is used for processing cheese and goat cheese
The oil maker is a tricky one, but because I can only have wheat in fall, I’m allowing truffle oil to be crafted. Any sunflowers grown from mixed seeds may be used to craft oil
