Rare Bowhead is a Quint-Element Rare Fire Monster that is found on Psychic Island and Amber Island. It was added alongside Rare Cataliszt, Rare Gloptic, and Epic Boo'qwurm on August 7th, 2024 during version 4.3.3. As a Rare Quint-Element Fire Monster, it is only available at select times. On Psychic Island, it is obtained by purchasing from the StarShop using 15,000 Starpower.
By default, its incubation time is 3 days, 23 hours, and 30 minutes long. As a Rare Quint-Element Monster, Rare Bowhead is one of the best Coin producers on Psychic Island.
On Amber Island, Rare Bowhead can only be obtained by successfully evolving a Common Bowhead that is at least level 4, via the Crucible. Its successful evolution time is 3 days, 23 hours, and 30 minutes long.

Notes :
- Rare Bowhead, like all Fire Quints, has the longest incubating and evolution time out of any Monster in the game, at 3 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes.
- Rare Bowhead and the other Rare Quint-Element Monsters have the longest incubation time of all Monsters at 95 hours. Its enhanced incubation time is 71 hours; The Monsters who previously held the title were the Fire Quints.
- Rare Bowhead's design is inspired by a cachalot, more commonly known as the sperm whale.
This is also notable because all cetacean species possess a tissue called a melon that enhances communication, just like the Rare Bowhead (possibly also the Common Bowhead).
- While not exactly similar in color, Rare Bowhead's bio references Rare Toe Jammer, with its mane being 'marshmallowy soft'.
- Upon its initial release on version 4.3.3, Rare Bowhead could be used in the Breeding Structure. However, when proceeding with a combination that contained it, no breeding timer nor any signs of breeding success would pop up. This bug was later fixed a day after release.
- Rare Bowhead was first teased in the Fyre Oasys Festyval video, where its silhouette can be seen in the background of Monsters cheering on DJ Epic.
- Rare Bowhead's hair clips through the top of its box in the Market.
- The Islands section of the Market incorrectly shows that Rare Bowhead is only on Psychic Island.
