Bison are cattle that constitute the genus Bison, there are fifteen recognized bison species, the †Iberian Bison (Bison voigtstendtensis), the †Menner's Bison (Bison menneri), the European Bison (Bison bonasus), the †Italian Bison (Bison deguilii), the †Taman Bison (Bison tamanensis), the †Georgian Bison (Bison georicus), the †Caucasian Bison (Bison caucasicus), the †Nepalese Bison (Bison sivalensis), the †Steppe Bison (Bison priscus), the †Chinese Bison (Bison palaeosinensis), the †Siberian Bison (Bison schoetensacki), the †Antique Bison (Bison antiquus), the †Occidental Bison (Bison occidentalis), the †Long-Horned Bison (Bison latifrons), and the American Bison (Bison bison), the closest living relative of the bison (genus Bison) is the Yak (Poephagus grunniens), which is the sole extant representative of the genus Poephagus, the genera Poephagus (Yak Lineage) and Bison (Bison) split from a common ancestor in Europe during the Pliocene, among bison species, the currently living european bison (Bison bonasus) is only more derived than both the extinct †iberian bison (Bison voigtstendtensis) and †menner's bison (Bison menneri), but is basal to all other bison species, the european bison has two recognized extant subspecies: the German Bison (Bison bonasus germanicus) and the Polish Bison (Bison bonasus bonasus), similarly, the american bison (Bison bison) also has two recognized extant subspecies: the Wood Bison (Bison bison athabascae) and the Plains Bison (Bison bison bison).

Correction, camels constitute the family Camelidae not the genus Camelus, this is because guanacos, llamas, vicunas, and alpacas are camels and the bactrian camel does not belong to the Camelus genus anymore, leaving the dromedary as the only extant member of the Camelus genus, while the genus the bactrian camel now belongs to is Oreocamelus.

Actually, bison constitute the genus Bison, the Bos genus is now officially thought to apply only to the aurochsen.

Actually, your description is incorrect, the Lion (Panthera leo) originated exclusively from Europe, therefore there are actually twelve valid lion subspecies, with the most basal known lion subspecies being the †European Lion (Panthera leo fossilis), followed by the split between two clades, the Panthera leo persica group, known as the Asiatic lions containing both the Indian Lion (Panthera leo persica) and the †Sri Lanka Lion (Panthera leo sinhaleyus) and the Panthera leo leo group, known as the african lions containing the †Egyptian Lion (Panthera leo aegyptiaca), the †Barbary Lion (Panthera leo leo), the West African Lion (Panthera leo senegalensis), the Congo Lion (Panthera leo azandica), the East African Lion (Panthera leo nubica), the Ethiopian Lion (Panthera leo roosevelti), the Katanga Lion (Panthera leo bleyenberghi), the Transvaal Lion (Panthera leo krugeri), and the †Cape Lion (Panthera leo melanochaita).
