How are your brakes? Mine seem a little soft. Like the pedal goes pretty far to the floor before they really respond. Is yours that way? That’s my only complaint. I absolutely love this truck. It’s amazing in every way except for the brakes.
@@bryanrogers9714 This is my 3 rd Ranger.Had a 21,23 and now the 24. maybe I am used to them, but you are correct. The brakes can be soft. I think they’re better than that was on my 21 but there are times that it seems as though I’m pressing further to the floor ha ha.Great question and once again it isn’t just you the brakes can’t tend to be soft.
@ Thanks for the reply. That was helpful. Great review.

@@Randy-cv8wo You’re very welcome. You will love it,hope it arrives soon so you can enjoy it.What color did you get? Thank you for checking in.
@@jeepthings8875 carbines Gray, I pick it up, Monday , and I love it taking it to Florida Friday, I am ready for the road.
@@Randy-cv8wo oh man you getting close.Congrats 🎉.We heading out to Colorado on Christmas break(which is 1150 miles one way )can’t wait to take it on road trip too.
16:01 You crack me up. I could totally identify with being sad if it didn’t fit with the door closed. I’m glad it did! So many things I have bought for the purpose of convenience to fit somewhere and it didn’t.
@@randothecomando Bahahaha 😂I would have been sad 😢 too. I had measured the space behind the seat, and I knew the dimensions of the cooler. The only thing left to do was cross my fingers.🤞🏼!Thank goodness it worked and it has been an awesome little cooler. Thank you so much for checking in. I sure appreciate you.
@ I bought the roadie 24 for trips to fit in the back floor of my Ram 1500, while it fits, it’s not optimal, especially with kids in the back and the wife bringing stuff along because it takes up a little more space than I thought. I just ordered this one and it should fit perfectly. Especially for a lunch box, replacing my yeti flip 8.
@@randothecomando Awesome, you will love it. I took it to deer camp a couple weeks ago. Temperatures were highs in the low 50s low in the upper 30s and it held ice for a week. It would be the perfect size also to fit behind your seat. My cousin has a Roadie 24 . That he throws it back of his pick up he’s a farmer. He beats that thing like a rented ox.😂 he loves it, and the yetis as you know are tough as nails.
PS. I’m being told that the 2024 Ranger has the 10-r-60 trans not the 10-r-80. The 10-r-80 is in the F-150 now.
@@kidwelldavid6136 Yes that is correct.I even read that and still said 10r80 haha. Some one else had commented too.Thats why I have you all as my backup.Truly thank you I’m gona correct that on next vid.
You know that you can put that screen into dark mode. It’s in your settings. I like it better on my Ranger.
@@kidwelldavid6136 I’m going to check that out.Thank you.
The 2024 Ford rangers don't have the Ford 10r80 transmissions anymore. They have switched to the 10r60 transmission just like the Ford bronco. Thanks for the video
@@Bartee1960 thank you so much for that. Now that you say that I did see 10r60. And I think that’s where I read that they did improve it thank you once again I sure appreciate it.

Not a bad mid-size pickup. I went with the Frontier SV 4x4 w technology package because I prefer a v6, but if I was in the market for a turbo 4 this would be it. That grey is really nice and the interior is decent, but it does need more old school buttons for basic functions...
That turbo will cost you dearly whenit go out
You are correct in the $$$. But Turbos today are much different than per se turbos from decades ago. They will run for yrs. and 100k’s of miles. The Ranger never went out of production(just in US) .Was always in production over seas. That’s why IMO the other manufacturers in midsize went turbo, more power and a lot more torque.
The bed looks the sise of my wheel barrer
I like the older 2000 to 2011 moders better
That truck is not what i call basic to many extra junk
@@rickyarmstrong9267 for 2024 it is as basic as you can get
I thought you could not get a bacic truck any more they all have touch screen 4 door and 4x4 touch screens are like texting and driving
@@rickyarmstrong9267 this is as basic as you can get. It has the smaller screen. The lariat, XLT and raptor all have the larger screen.Mine is a 4x4 so yes there is a 2wd.
Needed this! You actually showed the Back To Start function in action. Great work.
@@nielsoe8970I sure appreciate it.Had a great time getting out for a lil hike and making the video.Great watch to use to go exploring! Thank you so much once again, glad it was helpful.
I like my 2011 f150 5.0 but I'm eyeballing a Ranger. It would have to be the 2.7 tho. Probably a lariat too. Now the issue I have it's they're 50g's. That's ridiculous imo
@@lobbyrobby My cousin is a Chevy guy (most of the time) he is currently driving a F150 2011 model I believe with about 238,000 miles. He is in the market for a midsize truck. He looked at he hasn’t got one yet, but he looked at the Ranger with the 2.7.It was XLT . In my neck of the woods you can get a lariat 4x4 around 46k that’s with discounts. But the Lariat’s are super sweet for sure.

Stay still when you are acquiring satellites, you should also remain still once acquired, for a minute or so, before pressing the Save button. This makes the watch fine tune its' position (you will see the coordinates keep moving and then gradually settling down) this is known as "averaging" That way, when you returned to your Jeep, the distance remaining would have been a lot less, probably 30 feet or better.
@@lioncurlew Thank you very much. And that does make sense especially on the Jeep getting back in the distance being shorter will definitely do that. Thank you again.
Good review. I have a discount code at REI total for the yeti 15. $165. I was just wondering how is it holding up so far?
@@Killa91115 Thank you.It is doing GREAT!! $165 well worth it.I have used this cooler more than any other cooler i have.Such a convenient size ,stays in truck all the time.I truly can’t say enough about this lil cooler.I personally don’t think you can go wrong and it will literally last decades (my Tundra 65 I’ve had over a decade) .Thank for watching ,you will love it!

@@Killa91115 Thank you so very much. I truly appreciate it. And congratulations once again you are going to love this little cooler. Just for reference I have done a few videos over theRoadie 15. “I like jeeps but I need a truck.” Brother let me tell you about something called the Jeep Gladiator. 😂😂😂 Just teasing. Hope you enjoy the new truck.
@@backwoodstherapy I hear ya brother. The first thing I looked at was a Jeep gladiator just couldn’t close the deal, but that was my first choice. Jeeps will always hold a special place in my heart.
@@jeepthings8875 I’m thinking my next vehicle will be a gladiator. Sport, max tow, leveled. They made power windows/locks/keyless entry and then automatic transmission standard on the 2025 model while keeping the price sub-$40k. So I’m thinking maybe end of 2026 I’ll get a year end closeout deal for hopefully around $35k. I have the stuff in my garage to level it, I’ll throw in some slightly longer shocks in the front, metal bumper and winch, and I’ll have a new daily driver, since my JLU is getting so off road capable it’s becoming impractical to drive a family around in lol. So I’ll have my hardcore wheeling rig, and then a daily that is fine for a family but can also act as a support vehicle when I go wheeling (and something my wife can follow me in on trails).
@@backwoodstherapy that will be sweet. I did see where they’re going to make a lot of things standard. The gladiator I looked at was a 2023 brand new they had a few left. They can’t get rid of them so they took $17,000 off the window sticker which was $56,000.Still could not close the gap ha ha. But I’ll be looking hopefully you get it that will be an interesting watch right there.
@@jeepthings8875 I like the 2024+ models because it has that nice big screen and, more importantly, standard side curtain air bags front and rear.
@@backwoodstherapy I agree.I had the blue 2 door 24 wrangler.A semi ran red light 🚦 didn’t even slow down .Totaled the jeep. The side curtain saved me.
The two-door Wrangler is the only way to go. So tired of seeing 4-door Wranglers absolutely everywhere. Wranglers should not be main drivers.. They are second or third vehicles only. And handy for this purpose. They are compact, they are convertibles, they can tow, they are 4wd, and they can be highway cruisers with the hard top.
@@georgetown8986 I agree with you 100%. The wife keeps saying get an older one for secondary driving off-road excursions even though I use this one for that ha ha. It’s tough to keep a wrangler and not have a pick up even though I do have a trailer, but they’re so dang fun. Go anywhere anytime vehicles he can’t help but love the little two door.
How does this have only a couple views... long term reviews are sooo valuable!

Noticed that your Blue 2024 Sport S was a hardtop and the 2023 Rubicon are both hardtops. Any reason for the preference? Why not a soft-top? I’ve been in the market for awhile and can’t decide between the 2 types of tops. Your thoughts?
@@petelancaster2196 that’s actually a very good question. My personal preference is hardtop. It helps reduce road/wind noise. I do know that the soft tops have come a long ways over the last decade. So I’m sure in the summertime a soft top would let you cool it down in the winter time it would let it warm up. I do prefer a hard top now ,if I did live in a warm climate Deep South for example and I could have the top down a lot. I would strongly consider one.
@@jeepthings8875Thank you for the advice. I agree that much has to do with geographical location. I’m sure you probably have some rough winters and it makes sense. Agree soft-tops have came a long way. I’m impressed with the JL soft-top quality.
