I found an Alice Cooper Poison video with Nita performing her lead in a few weeks ago. Since then I have watched several concerts and enjoyed them all.
This probably (IMHO) is the best touring band Alice has had since the original band broke up. The musicianship all across the board! The stage personalities of Beasto and Nita! I remember being quite devastated when I bought WTMN in '75 and couldn't find the names Dennis Dunaway, Glen Buxton, Michael Bruce, or Neal Smith anywhere on the album sleeve. At fifteen I had an unhealthy obsession with Alice Cooper (that's what my mother and my teachers in school said anyway).
Nita's got enough energy for all of them. Such a contrast to Orianthi (stage presence) who just stood there with that "cold hard bitch" look on her face, like she was supremely bored and the show couldn't be over soon enough. Both great guitar players, though. Different personalities.
Setlist: Spend the Night Intro Brutal Planet No More Mr. Nice Guy Under My Wheels Billion Dollar Babies Be My Lover Lost in America Serious Fallen in Love Woman of Mass Distraction Guitar Solo (Nita Strauss) Poison Halo of Flies Feed My Frankenstein Cold Ethyl Only Women Bleed Paranoiac Personality Ballad of Dwight Fry Killer (excerpt) I Love the Dead (band vocals only) I'm Eighteen Encore: School's Out (+snippets)
Response to mx5ish exclusively... You sound and most likely are the old stuck in time uneducated old fart. Save your breath and don't embarrass yourself... Are you also putting a make up on or paint your face if nobody is watching you ?
SENSATIONAL!!!! Still loving AC as much as I did when Nightmare first came out - blew my mind then and concerts like this still do. Fabulous guys, and Nita - well hell girl, you are a phenomenon all by yourself. Love Love Love & big gratitude for posting on youtube.
Thanks for posting. As a follower of the Coop from the early 70s the ultimate Coop song is included - "Halo of Flies". Gotta give him credit he keeps moving forward and feel his last 4 albums have been his strongest for years and - Nita - OMG.....
Thank You so much for recording the concert. My daughter & l were there in the Pit & it was amazing. Alice always puts on a great show, now l can relive this night...
great job on the recording and capturing the show up close. I saw Coop in Clearwater,Fl back in march,he's a great act to see live and I have seen him many times since the first which was in 1971.
