Understanding Trauma and Finding Peace With Laurel Wiers
What if the key to your inner peace lies in understanding the latent pain you carry? Join us as we promise a transformative exploration into the depths of trauma with expert Laurel Wiers. Laurel redefines trauma, emphasizing its lasting impact on our psyche and emotions rather than the event itself. She shares invaluable insights from her work with first responders, highlighting why early intervention is crucial to prevent long-term effects. Through this episode, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how trauma can lie dormant for years, only to resurface at moments of vulnerability, and how our bodies manage this latent pain.
Discover the complexities of trauma triggers and the therapeutic techniques designed to neutralize them. Laurel introduces groundbreaking methods such as EMDR, ART, and critical memory integration, offering a roadmap to emotional release and healing. By connecting negative memories to more positive associations, these therapies help alleviate the pain of triggers that can arise from simple interactions. With compelling personal stories, including the emotional aftermath of a loved one's suicide, this episode provides listeners with powerful tools and hope for navigating their own healing journeys.
Experience the revolutionary approach of Rapid Trauma Resolution Therapy, which offers substantial relief without the need to recount traumatic experiences in detail. Laurel's discussion about the benefits of this method, particularly for first responders and survivors of sexual abuse, underscores the importance of properly integrating traumatic memories. In our final conversation, we uncover the profound ways self-love and trauma integration can lead to a sense of inner peace and stability. Reconnect with your past self and learn to embrace your traumas as we guide you through this path to healing and emotional well-being.

Good content, Kevin!

@@thefuzzymic7353 You are most welcome, Kevin !
Nice intro
My buddy Zach made that for me. He's been a friend since I worked in Denver in 1992. Super talented.
Scott I've had a crush on you for 8 years. ❤
Congrats Mr. Kline!
Thank you, Mrs. S
Congratulations , Kevin on 100 !
Thank you, Huudy!!!
I always enjoy hearing Scott and his perspectives. Thank you for the great interview. I especially appreciate Scott's advice on the responsibility to act on inspiration. Another great life hack courtesy of Mr. Fedor. 😊
Thank you for listening to the episode and for sharing your comment. Anyone who is fortunate to know Scott is a better person because of him. And yes, act on inspiration is truly a wonderful life hack.
Yes, Scott is awesome! Great interview
TOTALLY agree that Scott is the man. Thank you so much for listening to the episode and for sharing your kind words. Beyond appreciative.
I love that phrase. You can't out-sin His grace. Nice interview and good to see you, Ricky.
I remember Ricky being really sick when we were in Jr High. He was always such a nice guy. I never knew the rest. Praise God his father didn't carry out his plan.
Hello Shelina. Thank you for checking out the episode. Ricky is pretty impressive, for sure. I appreciate you commenting.

Another great episode, Mr. Kline.
Thank you, Mrs. Salyer. Hello to Mr. Social :)
I’m so sorry for the loss of your special buddy 😢 Thank you for sharing his story with us and allowing us to grieve with you. Big hugs to you and your family. Take care of yourself during this time.
Thank you, Goddess. I'm actually watching a podcast interview of James right now. So looking forward to meeting you and him next week. Can't wait for the chat. Yeah, I miss my buddy, for sure. He had such a personality. I still say goodnight to him every night. He had his own channel if you want to see some videos of him. Just type this in to see his alter ego, The Mayor of Sconeyville @themayorofsconeyville5377
Good show, Mr Kline! God Bless America! Say hi to Mrs Kline and wishing y’all all the best for a great scholarship luncheon! 🇺🇸
Thank you, Mrs. Salyer. I thought about not posting this episode because it was so different from what I normally do, but my test audience said I should, so I did. Glad you listened. Luncheon was good. Hi to Mr. Social :)
Glad to see you back in the Fuzzy Mic chair where you belong! Thanks for sharing your struggles with the rest of us, it helps. Meanwhile, I'll be over here trying to practice gratitude and meeting new people, but since I'm an "extreme introvert" we'll have to see how that goes. Fingers crossed!
Extreme Introvert? You didn't have any problem meeting me. Did you? Thank you for the push to get me back into new episodes. Hope you liked the shout out.
@@thefuzzymic7353 I appreciate the shoutout, and that you used our photo from the TV station. The Mayor looked adorable as always, such a sweet little cutie!
Thanks Mr Kline! Very good information. I'm going to share with a certain person I know (ahem...been married to for 21 years...)who does all he can to avoid human interaction.
Tell that certain person that he is very enjoyable to be around and he's depriving society of his wit by not engaging. Thank you for listening, Mrs. Salyer
Kevin, thank you for sharing Pinto "The Mayor" with the rest of us. Just looking at the photos and videos you shared, it's clear how much love he gave you guys (and vice versa). Today marks 7 weeks since we lost Eli, so this brings it all back to the forefront. Which is okay. The grief isn't gone, I wish I could get rid of it too. But I'm told you have to move through the grief, there are no short cuts. Some others say the grief becomes a part of you. I'm not sure. Please don't apologize for feeling the way you feel. Grief is the price we pay for love. We had 8 years with Eli, which wasn't nearly enough. It's never enough when it comes to love. We're sending hugs to you, Trish, Beans and the entire family. I'm sure you're all missing your sweet boy so much. The rest of us will miss him too for a long, long time. ♥
Thank you, buddy. I'm so glad I got to put some of your interaction with him in the video. Give Peyton a big hug from us. Eli and Pinto left us too soon. We needed more years. Love you, Melanie. Hi to Brett
Sorry about the loss of Pinto, Kevin. We had the same experience with our little peppers, it is so so hard. The hardest thing about owning a dog is the goodbye. Sincere condolences to you and Trish.
Thanks, Huudy. No question about it that the goodbye is the hardest. Condolences for Peppers
Hey kevin, i'm glad you shared this. I know this situation too well with many loved dogs. I lost Maya a year ago now and i still get out of bed every now and then looking on the ground to make sure i dont step on her because she would lay down on my side. The night before i had to go to the border for a response mission, she fell and couldn't get up. i knew the time was coming i just didn't know when. i didn't want her to be in pain while i was away or my family have do this while i was away. that night we did the hard decision because i wanted to be there for her. she left us that night and i left for the border in the morning. While i was down there she was always in the back of my mind. It didn't hit me until i got home a month later and she didn't great me at door. she was cremated and in her box with her name on it sitting on the table. I picked her up sat on the couch and creid like a baby. She was my buddy for 13 years through all the places i lived, the ups and downs and ranch trips. I have heard this from somewhere: though they may be part of your life, you are their whole life.
Thank you for watching the video and for sharing the story of Maya. We're having Pinto cremated and I'lI put his urn on my nightstand when we get it. I was running today and kept saying "Tobes!" out loud just wishing I could see him glance at me again. Hope I get to see you soon. Hi to Jenna.
I'm not a "dog person". But this precious little guy was not just a dog - he was a sweet loving soul wrapped up in brilliant white fur. My heart goes out to you, Kevin - you too, Trish. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Auntie M. ❤
Thank you for watching this and recognizing how special our boy was, Auntie M.
Such a hard episode, but a wonderful tribute to your boy. <3 He's happy now, Mr. Kline. And you and Trish gave him the best life! Love to all who love and miss him.
Also, I wanted to add, this episode WILL help other people. We have a cat, Morty, who to him, Michael is the world! And the feeling is mutual. I think it will help people like Michael (and me too 🙂), to validate his feelings when the day comes to say goodbye to Morty. Because we know as pet lovers, those days do come, and they always suck.
Morty! What a great name. Thank you for watching the episode and sharing your super kind and supportive words. Give Morty and rub from us, and say hello to Michael for me.
These are always among our hardest days. Much love to You, Trish and Beans. Wonderful memories of sweet Pinto.
Thank you, Super Steve. Much love back to you and congrats on another Comrades. See you soon.
Interesting interview :) I am glad she has a loving husband now and child in her life.
Thank you for watching the episode and commenting, Whitney. Naomi is quite a survivor, for sure.
Excellent show, Mr Kline!
Thank you, Mrs. Salyer. You have no idea how much I appreciate you watching / listening / commenting. Means the world to me. Hi to Mr. S.
I love watching this. I regret to let you know that Richie passed away Sunday. So watching this, makes me happy.
Oh no! Thank you for letting me know. Sending my condolences.

@@thefuzzymic7353 nice recall!
Got hot linked here so I don't know what to think but, either views are being paid for, or UA-cam's doing some goofy stuff. I'm going to go with the latter.
Thank you for your message. I think YT might be doing some goofy stuff. I say that for a couple reasons: I don't pay for views and my previous full episode has racked up over 100 views in 12 hours when the previous 6 days only garnered 35 views. Thank you again for your message and giving me an idea that something was going on.
@thefuzzymic7353 no worries and thank you I'll even give the show a listen. 👍I wouldn't be a bit surprised if UA-cam was doing some goofy stuff, wouldn't be the first time. They been doing some weird stuff with their algorithm. Deleting comments ect ect. It's just wierd.
@@mastathrash5609 very appreciated that you're going to give the show a try. Hope you like what you hear. And thank you again for the heads up about YT.
