New England Patriots Offensive Line Depth: Current Status and Potential Reinforcements
The New England Patriots are navigating a challenging situation with several injuries to key offensive linemen, including David Andrews, Jake Andrews, Cole Strange, and Caedan Wallace. With Vederian Lowe and Michael Jordan also banged up, the team has been forced to make some strategic moves to bolster their O-line depth.
In this video, we'll take a deep dive into the players the Patriots have recently signed, such as Liam Fornadel from the UFL, and waiver claims Trey Jacobs and Zach Thomas. The Patriots have also strengthened their practice squad by bringing in Caleb Jones, Bryan Hudson, and Jalen McKenzie while adding players like Ben Brown and Lecitus Smith from other teams’ practice squads to the active roster. We’ll explore how this mix of players might line up for Sunday’s game and what options the coaching staff may consider to fill the gaps.
We’ll also highlight potential free agents and practice squad players from other teams who could be viable options to shore up the offensive front, including Josiah Ezirim, McClendon Curtis, and several others. With the Patriots dealing with inconsistency and injuries, could these reinforcements help stabilize their offensive line?
I analyze the Patriots' current O-line situation, the new acquisitions, and potential outside options that could help the team weather this injury storm.

Seahawks!!
Yep panther get him😂😂
So far this season, he’s given up zero sacks and only 1 pressure. Really impressive.
What do you think of Guard Willie Lampkin 6'0 295 North Carolina?
Hard to see a 5'11" guard being operative at the NFL level... maybe he can work as a full-back.
@@patsstats He has a wrestling background. Uses angles. Might be UDFA.
A shame he wasn't able to translate this performance in the pros
Would definitely like Webb as an inside guy for sure. Definite upgrade over our guards not named Michael Onwenu. I figured you don't take requests for certain players, but I've worked on a few mocks with some unknown players. I just wanted to get an idea on what you'd think of the following: 1) Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College 2) Jack Nelson, OT, Wisconsin 3) Riley Mahlman, same as 2 4) Samuel Brown, WR, Miami (FL) 5) Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
I do requests on Lives... but I already planned on doing all those guys.
@patsstats OK good. Cause personally, if we for one reason or another don't address tackle first, I would not object to Trapilo and Mahlman
ouch. maybe he will get it together with someone else. if he does not screw it up... AGAIN.
Connor Williams was a FA forever after back up Jake Andrews went down for the year. Don't know why pats didn't at least bring him in for a visit.
We definitely need depth at center!! I wonder who will be available off-season. Good question if the Pats will finally look at building the line. How do you rank this OL class compared to previous years?
@girardedward i would say it is fairly deep, with plenty of developmental and sleeper picks. Final COVID year coming out.
Zach came in today vs the texans and was a SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT at LT. I think it would be wise to keep him in there
I dropped him last week even as a WR 2
Definitely agree that Felton is a riser. This year Felton has in my opinion over taken his teammate Kaden Prather. I think Felton is more explosive and he’s definitely a top 10 WR. Right now I have a 3rd round grade on him. The only thing that gives me some pause is he’s listed at 182 pounds. He’s not Tyquan Thornton skinny but does need to add some more weight and play strength. That shouldn’t be an issue.
Who is more talented or Joe Alt?
I think Campbell is better in terms of technique, but you can't get a better physical talent at LT than Joe Alt.
@@patsstats In my opinion, the Chargers are wasting Joe Walt's talent at RT.. He is better than Rashwan Slater, so I wish Joe Walt delayed his entry into the NFL in order for a team to choose him that would appreciate him and play him in his preferred position.
They just picked him up from the Giants 9, Oct 2024
Marte came off ir against the dolphins he was wearing the green dot played all defensive snaps first game back
🤔 that's my FAM damn 🎮⌚
This draft seen like its deep in tackle and guards , there should be no excuses for us to atleast grab a LT and RT and center , I don't want to hear no excuses for next year , but seem like we gonna have to top 3 pick this year
2025 NFL Draft sleeper prospects: TE Oscar Cardenas 6'4 285 UTSA
Check out sleeper from Rutgers Hollin Pierce former walk on 6-8 350 LT and Patriots have drafted Rutgers players before. Kid a straight monster 40 dollar cab ride to get around I feel around combine he going fly up boards.
@dannysavagedraftguru i mentioned him a few months ago in a live. Not sure why he isn't getting some respect
@@patsstats Rutgers in general not getting any love
Belton legit did a video on him in summer
My question e we it’s him is how he going to perform at next level. He a Guard to me.
Isn’t Banks like 6-4 ? That’s guard in my eyes 👀 but he def round 1 pick and chasing. Campbell good video
6'4 is still good height. It's more about arm length which is no doubt long enough to play on the outside. Trent Williams is 6'5 which we both can agree is not that much of a difference. There are many OT who are 6'4 but their arm length is why they can play that position.
@@SimmerDownBoy I love Banks but think the NFL going switch him over LG who cares he a great player. I have broken down 330 players on my channel since May.
@dannysavagedraftguru I like Banks too. He has the talent to play both OT and OG. But thinking a 6'4 OL can't play OT is ridiculous. You obviously haven't broken down any good film. I don't recall the steelers putting Troy Fautanu at OG, even though he could. OT is much harder to play so when you have someone like Banks who can be an elite OT, you keep him there. Maybe look up all the OT who are 6'4 and break down their film and see If their tall enough to succeed on the outside And I wasnt attacking you in the first place so idky you get defensive for Lmao
@@SimmerDownBoy I never felt you was coming at me. Texts get mistaken. I like banks lot but seems the nfl likes sliding guys inside not me.
@dannysavagedraftguru the players they slide inside are players with shorter arms. That's under 34 in. Arm length. Peter Skoronski played everywhere along the OL in college. They moved him to OG in the NFL because his arms are 32 1/4 in. Only time height matters is if he's maybe 6'3. Other than that it's about arm length. Height does nothing for you on the outside. That's why OL who are 6'6 with shorter arms will still play OG because it's about arm length. I'm just letting you know since we talking football. Troy Fautanu and DJ Glaze are rookies and good examples or this. Even Mike Onwenu who's played both OG amd OT in the NFL.
He by far my OT 1. With Banks from Texas chasing him.
I def Agree Guard
Pa great content
You mind I share video on my Channel ?? I’m super high on him. Worst case slide to RG he starts next decade
I have done 3 videos on him so far
Worst case slide him RG and he plays next decade
I just subbed Do same I’m 305 players deep so far R with goal of 600-700 by draft
So high on this road grader
Pro comp
He's slow as f* looks a lot like Nkeal Harry. Tall, strong and can't translate that in the next level because he's too slow, doesn't create separation and doesn't read the defense. One of the highlights on this clip there's a clear zone scheme and he doesn't slow down, he doesn't stop on the zone he just keep going. The pass is complete because he's playing against a future Arbys Manager not a NFL defender...
What are your thoughts on Wyatt Millum?
I like his tape for the most part... he is on that second tier of LTs for me, who are built for the position and have the talent to play at the next level. My only concern is consistency
0 sacks last 3 years shut down Abdul Carter tough nasty kid I see late rounds 1 early round 2 kid can play
I have Belton right now as a 2/3 pick. I think he has some quick footwork at times and good punch. He’s not a plodder so he should be able to stay at LT or worse a swing T
Looks like a good sleeper pick. Would love to see a video on Tre Harris, who’s my favorite WR right now.
Tre is my favorite for a second rounder... his analysis is coming.
@@patsstats If he stays consistent this year, he will probably work his way into the first. But I would love to snag him if he falls to the 2nd.
Love the video! I actually asked the NFL Stock Exchange guys to mention him in their “stock up” section. Great work again!
He’s definitely playing into Day 3 pick but like you said how he continues to play the rest of the year and all star games and hopefully combine invite and pro day will determine how much he can move up the board
The Patriots depth at tackle is so rough that they should double dip this draft
For sure
During his senior year, I wanted to go to all the games I could even if the game was out of town. I watched him at Northern Colorado, and I recall seeing 4 or 5 NFL scouts, the obvious one being Denver, and they were impressed at the way he contributed to every play. Oddly enough, I actually got the privilege of eating lunch at Panda Express in Moscow, and I picked around in his brain, asking him questions and whatnot. He was as chill as a 🐻❄ in Alaska.
LOL this did not age well. Once a bum, always a bum
This may be the year that all of the boring draft picks need to happen. Tackle 1st round then maybe a guard 2nd. Put big mike back at RG, Wallace at RT, Andrews at C, the new guard or Layden LG, Kelvin Banks or Campbell at LT. Try and get a decent fill in WR1 and shoot for the middle of the pack for the 2025 season and then get a legit WR1. By then Drake feels comfortable behind his line with a whole year under his belt with them and is able to produce with actual experience with a shiny new WR1 in 2026. Long play but to me, it seems like a rebuild done right.
@@chancedeneault4045 I agree
Trailer park
Crazy we just got him that is wild
He should starter in two weeks
Great content! You just got a new subscriber! Love this tape and can’t wait to see him in the Senior Bowl against the bigger school D-Lineman. He has some RARE movement skills as a LT.
@kevinmclane4054 thank you! You are right about the rare movement skills... the dude can move and is quite nimble for his size.
Nice back up for Steelers
Called it
@@Dusty_617 yea... him and Mark Perry
There are some really good o-line prospects in the 2025 draft that the patriots can grab that will set up a wall for Drake Maye.
Welcome to new england patriots
Crazy he just signed to ps
a good signing-also they're giving tryouts to another pair od good linbackers owen porter(harshall) and kalen deLoach (florida state)-can you do vids on those 2 players as well?-thanks!
He'll be a project in Pittsburgh. He has to get stronger learn better hand placement and learn how not to lunge and stay on his feet. This is what PS is for to learn and better your technique and learn the system.
