Awesome video, but what's up with all the bugs? Not sure if this is the best place for a cabin, dealing with all of those locusts.
Black fly season is tough but they leave half way through summer can't have pleasure without the pain ! Thanks for watching
I use the same construction Crocks. They work well.😊
Those crocs are the best, comfy and practical! Haha they just need some steel toes
@ I know what you mean man 👍. Stay safe.
Hell yea
Drone video is key. Love it
Looks good brotha!!! Love my woodland mills... Great video
Appreciate it! It's been a fun build so far
Is there a structural reason for putting the purlins vertical instead of wide side down?
Yes when standing on ends it's way less flexible! So ya 2x4s are way stronger when mounted this way
Looks very strong, do you get much snow there?
Yes we get alot of snow the only way in when winter hits is a snow machine! We would have liked to have a taller roof angle but the saw mill and tree size was a factor. Thanks for watching
What's that little stove you're using to heat up your coffee?
A jet boil they are amazing and it has a french press attachment! I use it all the time boils water in no time
Thats a very beefy cabin.
Thanks we are doing our best to make it that!
Will this be on VRBO
What's VRBO?
Bois, whats the address up there, i wanna send you a framing hammer. Not bob the builders hammer lmao.
Hahaha make due with what ya got for now we spent all our money on bigger tools but yes a framing hammer would be nice in the future as we progress lol
Very nice work.
Thank you very much!
Great job!!! Gonna be a strong building. You all work well together.
Yup we got a great team of guys!
Great build guys!!❤ 🇨🇦
Thanks! It's been really fun and rewarding
I have 92 years old ears and I like music at certain times but not when someone is speaking, just a suggestion. You have good content and will attract many viewers, good luck, stay safe.
Great suggestion! Noted!
Just found your channel, liked and subscribed. You are my kind of people and I wish you well m.
Welcome aboard!thanks for watching
That's a strong roof hell all y'all lack is finishing 😊 thanks for sharing oh yeah where can a old retired construction guy get some of them work soxs ain't never seen em before
Hahaha thanks for watching ! They are magic socks we will put on eBay for you nail proof ankle support the whole nine yards!
@@Hboysoutdoors really y'all ain't got some merch it would be hilarious if y'all's merch store got hammered with orders hmm you once upon a time people were buying pet rocks with leashes ya never know
@@BWIL2515 good call we will start selling safety socks
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hey guys! Why are you bringing wood to the forest?
To save time as we only have so much of it up there we were planning on milling all of it but to long for it to all dry and mostly because we wanted closed in for winter. Next cabin will be alot more raw as we will not be so rushed and we can really take our time
This place will never fall down!
That's what were going for trying to build it strong but it's all a learning curve! Thanks for watching
You got a nice birds flying around 😂
Birds aren’t real!😊
@@erikowren7894 🤣🤣🤣
Your doing great people. Keep it going
Earlier, I saw where you notched the 3 large beams under the flooring so that you could join and bolt them together. you did the same with the ridge beam, but not with the two side beams that run parrallel to the ridge beam. Just curious why not? I presume the stress on the sides of the roof edges did not warrant that structurally? (I know nothing about building)
Yes the outside beams for the wall is really just a place to fasten the rafters to it doesn't seem to us that it needed the notch and bolt through and if I recall it also had to do with not having long enough logs milled at that stage so we improvised
Nothing like getting back to the basics. So refreshing to see someone persuing our beloved game bird on foot. Seems everyone is getting a bit anxious with quads and side by sides. A walk in the woods beats the sound of an engine everytime.
Goofy guys,,,never lifted an axe...Boss is sketchy...Go boys eh
Awesome job! Would love to be a few years longer and tackle something like that. Looking forward to seeing you guys dry it in. Cheers!
Wow looks amazing. Have you got floor plan we can expect or is this all on the fly with basic then sort internal later
Still to be decided once we install the wondows
looks amazing. Great job fellas
Thank you! Cheers!
In essence just another cabin build but OMG you guys are different and on another level🎉. Everyone pulls their weight and there is a camaraderie between you not a competition. You have your kids there and dogs❤andI can't wait for more. You are rocking it. From England UK X
Really appreciate the kind words ya it really is an awesome group we have and bringing your kids on adventures with you is key for the learning and growth for them thanks for watching
Love the Canadian Flag👍
OSHA be damned, you guys make it look really fun.
It's a blast a little sweat and blood but overall it's so worth it thanks for watching !
Awesome job. I am looking forward to the next video. Going to be so nice.
You guys are doing a phenomenal job!!!! Team work makes the dream work!!!!! 🎉
Thanks so much!!
Nice area for me I'd rather have all that as the house and build the roof off a little further some cool tree columns maybe put some cinder blocks or stone and fill it in with dirt and make a nice patio where part of its covered and part of its not covered and probably have some kind of railing around it but I'm sure it looks nice however
30 Mins !! what happen to the other 30 mins ? Great work you make me wanna pick up and buy some land out here in Aus . Whats the plan after the cabin ?
Hahaha just thought I would throw out a shorter EP and see if more ppl like the short episode. We have tons of stuff to come after the cabin
We have more cabins to build. Floating docks, we have lots of ideas. We are never going to run out of content
Cabin looks awesome boys! Keep it going.
Hi Robert from Australia. Been watching since you started it. Love the build. Very impressive never done something like that.
Hahaha you and I both but we all gotta start somewhere! Thanks for watching
So happy to see another video. Seems like forever since the last one. Being from northern ont myself really hopoeing winter dosen shut you down. Stay safe boys looking forward to what comes next.
Thanks! For watching winters get bad as you know so we may only be able to get up once more or we will wait till the spring
@@Hboysoutdoors Hoever it works out i will certainly watch and perhaps impatiently wait lol
@@michaelmartineau1373 we have lots of content to come that will hopefully carry us through the winter months
Loving this build, going to be bomb proof when its done. Very jealous of your spot every episode i watch, stuff of dreams 😊
I'm a Kiwi watching from China and loving it, that cabin is bomb proof, well nearly!, but it is looking great, we'll done Guys😎
Get a real hammer the longer handle ones they are easier to hit nails with and more leverage ...Even I can use a real hammer and you are stronger than me ...Just my 2 cent ...
I 100% agree but they cost money and the amount of money we have been spending on fuel and food when we are up there I can't even think about spending it on a hammer. Maybe one day we can have the best of the best but for now we just gotta work with what we have
@@HboysoutdoorsDoes the job..thats all that matters.
Well done lads, great progress. Looking forward to the next instalment……😊. Cheers Melbourne Australia.
Thanks 👍 for watching!
Great build!
Thanks!
Great job, it's going to be a cabin forever. Looking forward for next episode.
More to come! Thanks for watching
Well built, nice job.
Would love to be involved in a project like that but don't have the means to do so😢. But I enjoy watching
I would like to thank everyone of you people they’re putting in the hard work plus a full-time job. The amount of driving you would have to do to get to where you need to go. Good on all of you keep up the good work. Keep in mind it’s a point of view that I have for my next comment lol That one time that you had severe wins and it showed on the video how bad it was. What do you think about tiedowns for the roof? Do you think it’s necessary you do have a 2 feet overhang maybe three what’s your opinion on the tiedown thank you in advance for the great video .
Thanks for the comment ya we will definitely keep that in mind for the next time we head up the wind can definitely get heavy at times
Looking really good. I like the flag.
Very cool
Hahaha Canadian with a tan ( young fella with Tatts) he been holidaying in Australia 😅😅🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
