Andrea Made a Birdhouse
Переглядів 2624 місяці тому
Andrea’s first time woodworking! What made her finally get in the shop? A Carolina Wren :) She loves bird feeding and bird watching. Last year when we moved in to our new home, we had a Carolina Wren hanging out in our backyard. It’s the first time Andrea has seen one and heard its beautiful song. It left for the Winter, and now it’s back. So Andrea wanted to make it a home (hopefully it moves ...

Link to book should be in video description! Might help drive some people to buy it? Love your stuff Vic. Thank you for being such a great pillar in the wood working community! Your wealth of knowledge has helped me immensely on my own woodworking journey.
see at 15:55 him using the jointer made me so nervous but he handled it so well, with great technique. Vics a great teacher
The joy Vic has seeing a shaving off a plane he made, makes me giddy
Good idea! Thanks for the kind words! 🙏
Nice short
Yep, with sandpaper 🤣
that works too 😁
Excellent tip Vic
Great idea thanks Vic
where can I get the plane iron?
We used the 25-degree smoothing blade from Melbourne Tool Company. ca.melbournetool.com/melbourne-tool-company-low-angle-smoothing-plane-blades/
@@VicTesolinWoodworks thanks
cool

Great video of passing knowledge on to the young
What a great video love watching someone teaching the young generation how to make things with their hands. 👏👏👏 you guys did an amazing job the plans look incredible.
Awesome video Vic. Loved doing this build with you. Can’t wait to collab on other builds. My UA-cam long form won’t be out for a bit lol
Can't wait!

Im 32 years old and im still dream about mi Japanese thing
Japanese and you great
Great job guys
Jesus bless you guys
So awesome to see. This young man is well on his way to being a top notch craftsman. You can see he already has good hands and basic skill. Nice of Vic to be investing in the younger generation with a perfect project for him to get started in a lifelong pursuit.
He blew my mind seeing how much he already knows!
Great collaboration! 👯♂️
Thanks Pat! 🙌
How on earth do I have more subscribers than Vic?!? Cool video Vic. I’m just down the road in Tillsonburg. Maybe we will cross paths someday.
It’s because I’m not a You Tubber. 😂 Let’s get together! I’ve always wanted to Tillsonburg.
@@VicTesolinWoodworks let’s do it!
So cool seeing you both working together on these. 🙌
Thanks man! It was a lot of fun.
Um, help explain to me how 6 mils or 1/4" is going to do anything other than spread the load over an only slightly larger surface area? Force iS ONLY spread at a 45 degree angle through that 6 mil thickness, not through tge whole piece
I'm not sure I understand your point. I was backing the clamp off a bit (6mm) to reduce the clamping force so that it didn't overtighten.
I love that you're instructing the young man in a useful career.
Bessey is a brand. They make a variety of different clamps. This video is applicable only for that specific style of clamp.
You couldn't be more right!
Nice!!!
How far down do you let the blade stick out of the bottom? Im about to start a woodworking journey and im trying to get all the tips i can. Thanks
The blade only projects a thousandth of an inch or so to take a shaving.
@@VicTesolinWoodworks i will definitely take note of that. Thanks man
Trying to be, if I can find a belt/pouch system that would work for me. I'm left handed, and I'd like to have my pencil and other marking tools on my left hip, and tape measure/square/rule/a few other things on the right. I'd like to have a whole belt I put on as I walk into the shop and take off as I leave, without the bulk of a full construction worker's toolbelt. And I might have to make this from scratch.
Yes 👍🏻
idk why but if i see stuff like this i cant scroll down you have earned my sub
Thank you 🙌
Love to see Vic putting his nose to the grindstone day in and day out.
I made my bed
Nice setup. How often do you clean the filters? Whats the life span of the filters? Do you need to use these filters or can you install other filters? I saw some 3d printed parts to install more traditional shop vac ones but couldn't find any videos of these.
Melbourne Tool company that Vic is a influencer for. Nice little piece
I prefer Brand Ambassador! 😂
Where is the sash, not real without the sash, cocked hat with feathers and official proclamation@@VicTesolinWoodworks
WTF
what
Absolute beauty. Good job, boys
Thanks!!
Osmo on slats?
It looks like those fancy looking, hand-forged nails are doing a whole lot of wood splitting in there. And this is the very reason why technology improved them, right into obsolescence, in the first place...
😅 she definitely needs a UA-cam channel
I need to try this method.
You should! Blue tape is the best for all kinds of joinery.
What do you do in making your own toilet paper?
The flourish is too often overlooked. 😆
It’s not a proper social media video without the flourish!
Diaphanous shavings A!👍
😁😁😁👋👋👋🫶🫶🫶
😂
I need a tool to make me thinner ! 😊
Kudos for being a good sport!😊
Why is there not a link to her channel? I want to subscribe!!!
She’s working on it!😅
You wanna now what's funny we have the same name lol😅 good Job using that drill 😊
