Who we are:
The Corneal Dystrophy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization made up of caring, giving people whose lives have been impacted by a corneal disease, with the potential to render us blind without the medical intervention of wonderful people who have chosen this as their life's work. We are so grateful for the opportunity to restore our vision and improve our own lives that we must tell others about the work that has been done and allow others the same opportunity.
What we do:
Research by finding the latest technological advances and then share it via social media. Provide a secure support group website for those hoping to learn about all aspects of corneal dystrophies. Compose written educational materials, newsletters and webinars. Organize and deliver a regularly scheduled symposium with experts in the field of Corneal Dystrophies which is open to all interested parties. Provide DVD's, for a small donation, of the experts' presentations. & much more than there's room for

I have Fuch's Corneal Dystrophy and have had it a few years now. I use a Near Infrared lamp on my eyes, arms length every morning, count to 40. It has changed my life. I didn't have to have surgery. It seems to take away the fluid under my corneals every morning when I use it and I can go about my life seeing 20/20 with my glasses on. Any questions, email: lnjnmb@gmail.com

Do you have to take anti-rejection meds?
I always saw newspaper print as grey. Are you referring that it is not grey?
No Jamie, it's just that things are all much more clear and bright post operatively. Newspring is typically 50% or somewhat less. That's the density compared to full black. They use greys to save money and also it makes it less expensive to remove the ink and fixers when they recycle newsprint
who did you're surgery
You had a good doctor. I had a horrible one who pulled my iris out with a failed corneal transplant. Now I'm blind in one eye and no doctor will go near my "good one"which is also failing.
How do I find this help? I been told not till blind.I can't read book's anymore driving is tough pain in eye's I lost one son almost lost the other in 23 months from 2010.I drive 75 miles to see only grandchild n must rush because if it gets dark I can't drive..help me plz.glittersonme2000@yahoo.com..Michigan home.only 54.
