This need to be said more. A lot of people by Lab Grown to get a 3-5 carat stone that they could not afford in natural diamond form. The thing is that 3-5 carat lab grown rock is still well north of $10,000. And once you buy it the stone is not worth much at all. Natural Diamonds do hold their value, especially if it is a good quality diamond. If someone over pays for junky cheap diamonds in mass-produced jewelry then yeah it might not sell for what you paid for it. I would rather a smaller natural diamond than an extra large lab diamond. If you really would rather buy a lab stone try Moissanite or wait 5 years and you will see the price decrease dramatically. Lab grown diamonds are way over-priced just like Moissanite was in the beginning, now you can get great deals on it. Don't get ripped of.

your not buying a diamond to resell it and they still lose 60% of value when you buy diamonds anyways so when buying a diamond, just think of it as burning paper

If the entire premise of your video is based on lack of resale value, then you don’t have a leg to stand on. Lab grown diamonds are identically molecularly two diamonds. This is scientific fact. End of discussion. You are trying to protect your industry because you know it is now exposed and nearing its end.

Doesnt natural diamonds yellow over time? Making them less valuable. Losing its colorless value.

Nice try azzhole, with the scare tactics. People are on to this foolishness and it scares the crap out of diamond dealers like this dude. The natural diamonds that most of us can afford, aren't worth crap when you bring them back to a jeweler. Most people who purchase diamond jewlery, they aren't thinking about resale value, and again, the diamonds that most people buy aren't worth a damn anyway so it doesn't even matter. We now know that lab grown diamonds are REAL diamonds, cheaper, and just as good as good. 90% of people buy diamonds to wear and never care about selling them, so take that, sir!! LOL!

According to a few jewelers natural diamonds sell for 30% less immediately. So if you spent 100k instead of the 20k you would lose 30k on the natural. There is still small resale value in the lab grown. This guy is clearly wrong. Plus most people are buy lab grown now, so the value of natural keeps going down.

Thank you for sharing your perspective! At Jason of Beverly Hills, we wholeheartedly embrace the tradition of diamonds as symbols of eternity and the bonds that last forever. While some appreciate the added value of natural diamonds as timeless investments, we believe their greatest worth lies in the stories they represent. whether passed down through generations or cherished for a lifetime, a natural diamond holds meaning that extends far beyond its monetary value. I truly appreciate your interest in jewelry!

OK there’s a lot of lies in this conversation. He’s having first off. There is no way to tell if a natural diamond and a lab diamond are fake or not because they are both real diamonds they’re made from the same material. The difference is the natural diamonds are pressurized your millions of years coal specifically is pressurized through millions of years to make a diamond Versus us taking the same material with no outside minerals getting into cause a difference in color so that way you always get a perfect diamond and also they just pressurize it faster in a lab and they’re able to do that and save money you’re saving money because people aren’t digging you’re not paying to have the diamonds harvested which cost a lot more especially when they have to be imported where here in America, we can just take the same material Cole, which we have here and make her own and they’re real. Yes granted I sold it for less than what I paid for, but that’ll happen with a natural diamond as well you’re not gonna get more than what you paid for your gonna get less whether you sell a natural diamond, or a lab grown diamond, both of them depreciate after you’ve bought it because you’ve paid for the name of the of the company that sold the diamond you paid for their brand you’ve also paid for the gold, silver or platinum that the ring is set into, but you’re mainly paying for whatever brand name is on there that’s why diamonds sell for less after I don’t ever buy jewelry by namebrand the no-name brand depreciate enough I don’t need anything to depreciate more

Thank you for your comment! There are actual scientific methods and specialized equipment that can distingush between the two. Natural diamonds are formed over billions of years deep within the earth, giving them unique characteristics that lab-grown diamonds cannot replicate. We are proud to use only 100% natural diamonds, each carefully sourced and authenticated. We truly appreciate your interest in the conversation!

Hey, this guy with his grave face and pro tone will definitely trade lab diamonds in his luxurious store as so called natural diamond and cost to profit the most, with this depreciation shit to tag along to lure you dig deeper into your pocket to fill his . And get home put on a joker broad smile drinking his $3000 dollars champagne worth only $50... And pondering about few more 10 carats lab diamonds sold as natural diamonds would buy himself another Mansion.

Guys a clown. A 2 ct natural diamond, G/H VS1, XXX will be around 20k. A lab grown with rhe same will be around 2k. I will take my 18k upfront savings and said screwed the resell value. Natural diamonds arw much cheaper now than they are 10 years ago as well so neither is a good investment. Take your upfront savings and enjoy your purchase.

I don't think that's true. The mined Diamonds are very had to sell, if not impossible. I mean, think about it... In the world, there are minority of rich people who could afford highly monopolised luxury items like diamonds, would they buy used diamonds? Then there's majority of people in the world, whether they belong to low incomes, middle incomes, homelessness & refugees. Would these people have the means to buy used diamond? If both answers are no, why waste all that money to pay marked up price to the rich diamond company, when you could own lab grown diamond with much more cheaper prices? Sure, it would be nice to own something that took million years to develop but mined & lab diamonds have the same components, no one would know the difference.

There is no resale value to a natural diamond. A retail buyer will pay 25k for a 2.5 ct g vs1 natural and if they try to sell it theyd lose, conservatively, half. Same stone lab made is 2k. So, would you rather lose 2k or 12.5k?

What are you talking about naturual diamonds appreciate in value. They're more desirable because the beauty of the formation in the stone. It's also more special knowing you can afford something that takes years and years to form under naturual conditions. No point to cheap out to trick people and pretend like you got money. 9.5ct vs1 on my gucci watch. If they were lab grown I'd look at it like cheap crap. I wouldn't even wear it. Looks good hanging out the window of my super charged truck and when I'm pulling my girls hair.

With all respect. I had a natural diamond and I tried to sell it just so I could upgrade and guess what? No one would look at it or buy it. Or even give me the amount I was looking for. Plus why would you think like this. I don't think anyone would want to sell something so sentimental. Even when I tried to sell my diamond. I couldn't let go. Because it was extremely dear to my heart.
