Man great video.
Does this work for non turbo cars also? The only marks I have on the flywheel is a triangle an solid line . Do I time the engine with number one at tdc?
Very helpful video. Thank you
After setting my timing and installing the tensioner I attempted to rotate the motor through the cycles twice. Right off the bat the chain tried to skip a tooth on the intake cam gear and I stopped and went back now it’s good. Is this normal or could the chain be stretched?
Is this pretty similar to a rzr xp 1000?
Having to put mine back in time at the shop
I've been working on cars for over 10 years. Doing valve seals on my RZR1k and this timing system is tough. This video was extremely helpful. Thanks!
Thanks so much .the first 30 seconds more informative than part zilla guru bull. Where they want you to buy there special tool to do this.
Thanks for posting this. Extremely helpful.
Thank You so much for posting!!! My 2015 RZR 1000 was down to 90psi in one cylinder. I ended up doing new pistons and having Head redone. The trick on the intake Cam is awesome!! Thanks again!! Spent hours trying to figure it out til I saw this video. I did exactly what you shown and the timing is dead on!!
So this worked just as well with a xp1000?
@@jameslefevers7331 Yes.
So why not just put the caps on the cams then put it at tdc,put the cam chain over the exhaust cam sprocket then use a wrench to turn the intake cam to where it needs to be then put the chain on? Your way works as well but the service manual shows to do it the other way. Also you talk about stripped bolts so just torque them to spec. Everything is supposed to be torqued anyway.
Thanks for posting the video I got a 16 xpt gonna do the 17 cams on it soon
are you sure your bike start with that?
These things look awesome!!! Congrats Enjoy!!!!
