Cylinder head recondition with new valve seals.
Some wear was letting some oil down the valve stems. Smoked a little at start up. I'd rather fix it than replace it.

The cursed 13.5 liter problem. Too old of an engine for the new head bolts so we got the updated head gasket. Labor of love.

Did a valve job as it had a burnt exhaust valve. Rebuilt the carburetor, new points, capacitor, cap, rotor, wires, and plugs. She's ready to do some chores.

These are pretty common. Don't rush if things get tough. Be patient and it will be fine. Saved a lot of people a lot of money this way.

Over half a volt, check it out, also those battery testers are crap. Just turn all electrical loads on. Lights, fans, ac (turns on radiator fan aswell hopefully), wipers if they don't hit the bonnet. Do your test then test the earth drop aswell.
Whatever method works for you is good.
