@@RamosHome mortise and tenon, look up wood by wright and there's a few others that are pretty good and wood by wright likes to reference them to. I created a frame for my farmhouse sink to rest on and I used mortise and tenon joints to improve the strength. The screws are really just there to keep the wood from falling out but there's glue and screws and lap joints so it should be extremely crazy strong. I was told that we over-engineered it, but to me it's something that's going to be hidden that I could make mistakes on and still come out with a good product. I'm super excited for you! Sorry if it seems like a downer! But I wanted to get you this advice right away because you put a lot of effort into it and I would love for it to stay for a long time

Hi! Yes we painted the house and porch in Benjamin Moore Onyx. I should also say, I think the key to painting your home black is adding in natural accents like wood tones and greenery. Thank you! Yes it’s a lemon scented furniture salve. Brush it on and then buff it off with a cloth for a smooth finish.

I’m actually not sure. 🤔 I keep dried and/or fake stems in mine. I think if you wanted to, just let it cure for a week and then maybe seal with a poly.

No primer needed! Two coats and this is very durable. I will be sealing the top with a matte polyurethane. It’s sitting in my kitchen now and holds my fruit and vegetables and still looks great.

Hi Valerie! Yes I was working on a “short” for the entryway I had already made over. But I was having a hard time with my editing program last night. So it’s not really a “new” makeover anyway.
