Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue Amp Demo
Переглядів 267 тис.13 років тому
This is a demo of my 2010 Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue amp. I'm playing a '70s/'90's era H/S/S "Parts Caster" with a DiMarzio X2N humbucker in the bridge, into Channel 2 (low sensitivity) set to "Normal" brightness. The settings I mention in the video are a bit confusing; the actual amp settings I use are: Clean Channel Vol: 3 Drive Channel Vol: 7 Master Volume: 3 Treble, Bass & Mid: 6 Reverb: 4...
The real spring reverb tank is gorgeous. It is simply dripping wet, but it is way too loud for home use.
This amp plays well on the neck position with the middle tone knob about halfway. ad a tube screamer and it's even better
I actually might purchase this amp but I'm not too sure yet. I love the tone even with its low distortion, but I play in a metal cover band. Would this still sound good if i add distortion pedals or should i not even bother with this amp?
I want one, I want one, I want one- did I mention I wanted one
Nice sound & good playing on Sultans :)
This is the BEST amp fender makes for the price ..Its warm punchy and creamy you cant loose ! I just sold my Hot Rod deluxe and bought a Blues Reissue on Ebay.. the best choice I ever made.. by the way threse no need to go to Guitar Center and buy this for 769.99 before tax. .just get it used it will probably even sound better because its "broken in "
Great playing man!! Dire Straits and Zeppelin...great choice!
Tenho esse ampli. Top demais
Nicely done mate. This demo helped me decide to buy this amp. The only difference is mine is the Limited Edition Smoky Tweed with the Jensen P12Q speaker. Not sure how the tone will vary but we will see when it arrives. Thanks a million for the video. Cheers from the USA
Beautiful sound - and good playing!
I have this amp... I fucking love it! I run my les paul through it with the Treble almost all the way off. It sounds so creamy. the Drive channel on mine is dead... not a peep.. but thats ok I don't like the way it sounded anyway.. a good od pedal and the clean channel is perfect. I use the boss Blues driver and its the best tone I've been able to get with any amp. and I've had many... marshalls fender's mesa's... nice parts caster too bud! thanks for sharing!
Just about any Fender anything rocks!
mark k how different does it sound from a standard hot rod deluxe 3?
Aidan Lefeld you know aiden I've never demo'd the HRD3.. I know that it has an extra gain setting like the first 2 incarnations of the Hot Rod Deluxe. I want to say that there are more advanced features in the 3. so this is a simpler amp
I don't know why, but there is not one single time through this amp in any demo I've watched that I actually like. And I don't get the idea of buying an amp with a master volume that is still always going to be too loud. Try a Princeton, a champ, a deluxe, a vibroverb, a vibrolux. I just don't know about these tweedy fenders. Also the blues junior has a better tone.
Over the hills and far away :)
do you think this is the right amp for practising at home? how does it sound at very low volumes? thank you for posting!
It is very LOUD!
Thank you very much, some great help! Cheers :D
It's actually very good indeed with pedals. I have an '80's MXR Distortion II (for a mild overdrive) and a Zendrive (for a more staurated distortion), sometimes with an MXR Dynacomp compressor (none used in this video though). A Tubescreamer also works great with this amp.
I see some pedals in the background... Did you often use pedals with this amp? If so... how well did it take them?? Cheers and a great wee review, helped me a lot!!
I've not played the newer one, but mine was tough to use at domestic volumes. If you like the tone, try a Blues Junior - similar tone, but lower absolute volume.
Hi im thinking of getting one for home use recording.not gigging anymore no time! But i still want a decent tone .i have read the new ones have the volume tapper redone .can u get a nice clean at house volume not really looking for the drive channel compresser into clean for grit .hope that makes sense .cheers
very trebly
dire straits! Sultans of swing! lml
Thanks! Man post some more videos!!!
My wife made me :-) I was running out of space in the house. In the background of this vid you can just see a red Marshall-style 18W (1974X) which I built, and that is stacked on a Carlsbro 50W head and 1x12 cab. I also have a '90's Marshall JTM60 2x12, a Fender tweed deluxe and a couple of Champs, and an old Peavey and lots of other junk. Yes, I wish I could have justified keeping the Blues Deluxe as well.
Why did you sell it? would you buy another one? thanks.. KLV400.
Thanks for the prompt response and again for an excellent demo ! Gareth
Yes - this amp was completely stock in this demo (I have since sold it). The volume pot taper was really a matter of taste - playing with drums and bass at rehearsal volumes there is plenty of control; at bedroom levels less so. Basically, this is a loud amp and has plenty of clean headroom - and there is a Master volume to give more low-level flexibility anyway. I believe the newer Hot Rod deluxe has a different taper - but I found it sounds too fizzy when overdriven. Cheers.
Excellent demo that covered all the bases for me but before I pull the trigger and get one, I'd like to ask you 2 questions: Is your' amp as played in the demo stock and have Fender now resolved the 'all or nothing' volume problem that the original suffered from due to the lousy taper on the pot ?. Thanks a lot
thanks, and for only £400 used, I will definitely get one
That will work great. A Tube Screamer and an MXR Dynacomp (as a buffer) worked really well through the clean channel, with MV set low.
great demo. So with a little big muff pedal and mxr micro amp and the master volume low, do you reckon it would still work well playing at home, playing at low volumes the majority of time. I know it won't sound as good as cranked, but would it still be usable, with the pedals? cheers
The MXR has to sound pretty cool. Lately I've been using the Boss BD-2 with wild success.
I have used it with a Weber minimass attenuator to drive it harder at low volumes, however, I prefer a Tubescreamer for overdrive. You really only want this amp if you like the clean "Fender" tones (like my Sultans of Swing demo); and if you have the budget, I'd probably recommend the Deluxe Reverb over this amp - although again, you'll need an overdrive pedal to get any "edge" to your tone at low volumes.
would this with a volume box master volume pedal be good or would the Deluxe Reverb '65 reissue be better?
