You might need the Holy Spirit, but you do not get it nowadays. What you need to do is read and meditate on the Word. And woman should not be teaching.

There is absolutely nothing mysterious about Biblical "tongues" - and there is only *one* type - when referring to something spoken, they are nothing more than real, rational language(s); usually, but not always, unknown to those listening to them, but always known by the speaker(s) - it’s their native language (in some cases, it is a language the speaker has learned). Indeed, there are absolutely _no_ Biblical references to “tongues” that do not refer to, and cannot be explained in light of, real rational language(s), ‘Tongues’ (read, *‘languages’* ) - the divine gift, is the God/Holy Spirit given ability to effortlessly learn to speak and be understood through real-language barriers. It is not xenoglossy (as many people incorrectly assume), nor is it the self-created non-cognitive non-language utterance of what certain Christian denominations are producing today (modern tongues-speech). _Nowhere_ in the Bible is modern tongues-speech advocated or evidenced.

I will add a little more here John . How did our mother come to go to the Charismatic meeting . A long time friend Joan who had been living in Perth returned to Townsville & rekindled the friendship that begun late 1950’s. & invited mum to a meeting . A little convent of nuns on The Strand . Mum attended & soon I did , dad did & that’s where our Pentecostal roots started . BTW… I will find the photo of you as alter boy & priest ( from PNG) . Great preaching once again

In the quietness of home I sat & watched this . Yes John we were blessed with a beautiful mother . My memory of her sayings was when I asked to help with a decision she’d simply say ‘ if I were you’. Oh there are many times I should’ve taken that on board . She would be so very proud of you now ( I know I am ). ❤

Being "sold" by Judas is such an idiotic part of the story. This was the same dude who had * Went on a 30 acre rampage and cleared the temple, overthrowing guards and merchants. * Had throngs of people following him wherever he went asking to be healed or whatnot. * Had 4000 people show up to hear him blabber on a hillside, not once BUT TWICE. * Had people singing songs and cutting down tree branches when he rode into town onto two donkeys. * Was approached and argued with the religious leaders of the region daily. * Had a retinue of 12 (or up to 70, depending on the myth) men following him around everywhere. And they needed to pay some dude 30 silver to point him out? Yeah, not buying it.
