Bhatiyar is an early morning (Dawn) Sandhiprakash Raga belongs to Marwa Thhat. In this informal Home Recording with Mobile, this Raag is played with a short Alap followed by a Traditional Bandish Ayo Prabhat, a beautiful composition by Sant Ramdas and popularized by The Great Legends Pandit Rajan Sajan Mishra.
Smarajit Sen is a born talented musician of his own style, a solid flamboyance with his blasting hands and depth of a creative brain, which gives him a distinguished identity.
TRAINING :
Smarajit started his journey at the age of 7, under the tutelage of Prof. Sukumar Chanda, later he became a disciple of Padmabhusan Pt.Buddhadev Dasgupta Ji of Senia Shahjahanpur Gharana. Currently under the tutelage of Padmabhusan Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty ji

" Ensemble" with Ustad Rashid Khan, Pt.Subhankar Banerjee and other eminent artists from USA and UK. Also, Smarajit is very fortunate to have the opportunity to perform with some Great Legends like Smt Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Ghulam Ali (Ghazal King), Pandit Birju Maharaj ji, Kaushiki Chakraborty and some more.
