Do you remember Ben Franklin Crafts Stores? We visit one of the few remaining, Kingsport TN.
We remember Ben Franklin Crafts from when we were kids. They had gone bankrupt in 1997 and we thought they all closed.
Imagine our surprise when we found this one!!! We have found out that there are still a few open across the country.
After stopping at Ben Franklin Crafts, we went right around the corner to Burlington...another store we had found memories of.
We were pleasantly surprised with Ben Franklin Crafts and look forward to going back. Can't say the same for Burlington.
Burlington was a mess, trash on the floors, very old and outdated, and no organization, as there was stuff everywhere.

Imagine the shock when we walked into Fletchers Fun Toys and saw toys from our childhood!!! No worries, they have a lot of new toys...but they also have old toys and games. Had we not been in North Carolina and far from the border, I would have thought we were visiting Mexico. Authentic Mexican Food in every direction, Mexican Clothes and Spanish Speaking People everywhere. Steph did find a little something, and even though we did not get to sample any of the food, we had a great day!!! Thank you for watching!!!

Looked very good. Agree about clean. Liked how clean it was. I’ve worked in food service several times in my younger years. So you see the good the bad etc. Makes one always look. Even the restrooms. Those club sandwiches were big. Thumbs up on size .

I remember Ben Franklin Craft stores. I think there was one i use to go to on the West shore in one of the strip malls. It's been gone for a long time now. Michael's and Hobby Lobby are the closest craft stores to me now.
I'll have to check, but I think you're right. I don't remember it but my mom used to go there with my grandma. ❤️

The Ben Franklin store has so much . Haven’t been in one in years. Certainly not one that big. I’ve never been in a Burlington store. They hv them in Florida. Looks like they do a good. business. We were out yesterday and the yard sales are in full bloom ! Otw into Crystal River signs were abundant. Love your videos .Stephanie you scored on the cloths on this video.

I could spend some time in that store! Grandkids Birthdays and I keep some toys for their visits. The price on the bunny was so reasonable. Got some Star Wars collectors in the family. Update us on the game after you play .

Nice outing. I enjoy walking around a good flea market. Always find something and see a lot of interesting stuff. You definitely can get some good spices. Lots of good walking . If it’s hot sunny and dusty. A umbrella and even a bandanna come in handy. Thanks for sharing.

Just watched this one on my big screen TV Goosebumps ! What a unique place. I have a family member who is a general surgeon. His office has some very unique things. Eons ago when I was a child… the little town I grew up in had a Dr. Strange. I’ll never forget sitting in his waiting room looking at a two headed kitten and a lot of strange things he had in jars that sat on a window seal-that still remember today! He wasn’t our normal family physician .. Thanks for sharing.

Looks better than what we just tried. However if you like homemade Root Beer. You’d of been happy. I get you on the greasy fingers. I had my wet wipes in the car. That’s not always the case. Loved the sign that said Holy Chips.

Half pound burgers? Nice! I’m in! Is it raw cookie dough? I would try making a banana pudding cookie. I made chocolate pudding cookies, vanilla pudding cookies, and butterscotch pudding cookies for Christmas gifting this past Christmas.
@@Susieqski yes a half pound burger. The burgers were great! Yes the cookie dough is legit raw, I'm sure it doesn't have egg in it. Honestly the banana pudding cookie dough was not very good at all.

Y'all need to try the Alamo location outside of Gatlinburg. We were there for the second time this past Saturday. They have small, private rooms for two. We have really enjoyed our times there. The brussel sprouts are great. The steaks are always cooked well

@haveasteph-n-leeday the service isn't quite as good (the restaurant is off the strip so they have a harder time getting good staff) but the food is just as good and the ambience is better, especially, if you get one of the private rooms

You were pissed after 1.5 minutes? I am having trouble believing you actually had the claimed wait times. I stop in there every time through Elizabethton and have never seen that kind of issue. If you did, it was definitely a random accident. But with how quickly you started to complain, I'm guessing it wasn't the service but the people at the table.

Antique Mall sure has a good selection of items. Nice outing on your cold day. Finally getting a beautiful sunny day in the part of Florida we live. My husband’s working . Normally off on Sundays but helping with a clean out. We both enjoy finding those neat places. So good you sending cards instead of just those Gifs etc. started doing more of that recently. Thanks for sharing your outing.

I thought i had seen all of your videos but i missed this one! I had been talking to my bestie from Greeneville tonight about moving there because my step mom texted me and said that it's time to make arrangements for my father's passing...it hit me like a ton of bricks. I keep looking at the rate of pay for jobs vs the cost of rent and I don't see honestly how I'll ever afford it! I trust God but it doesn't make sense to go somewhere where I'll make less per hour but yet triple my rent. So, I'll wait and just pray and see if God makes a way. God bless you all. Not sure if I told you but when I lived in PA I lived in Elysburg. :)

Very relaxing video after being extremely stressed this week with my dad saying some things to me that really hurt me. It's hard to separate the two when you have dementia. This was a beautiful view from my treadmill I felt like I was walking along the road with you. Thank you and God bless

Thanks for the honest review. We've passed Mamas Farmhouse many times while down at PF, and thought we'll have to stop in there sometime, but now I think we will pass. Still trying to check out the Local Goat restaurant on the Parkway but its always busy.Should have gone when they first opened as there was hardly anyone there, but not its always busy, so I'm guessing it must be good. Enjoy the day..

Snowed in Florida! More than I ever hv seen in Fl. before. The meal reminded me of a place called Fred’s that my mother loved. They had more seasoned . @@haveasteph-n-leeday 😂 We bought our retirement home in New Tazewell and are moving there in 4 years when we retire. I can't wait and am getting antsy to leave. We are sick of Crapifornia.
@michaelvanbuskirk8845 We understand, as we actually left Pukesylvania after retiring early three years ago. I wish I could say all is perfect, but the secret is out and too many of us are moving here and honestly ruining it. I hope it still holds the magic for you a few yrs from now.
@haveasteph-n-leeday We are out in the country so it won't change much there. Places like Sevierville, where my friend lives, are growing like crazy and starting to look like Gatlinburg. It seems most are moving to middle Tennessee, which is 3-1/2 hours from our house.
