Yes, you read the title correctly, at one time Rhinos and Mastodons walked here in East Tennessee. They were not alone. WOW!!! We stopped at the Johnson City Railroad Experience and it didn't disappoint. Once housed on the ETSU (East Tennessee State University) campus. Embreeville TN. was hit extremely hard by Hurricane Helene. This area is still devastated. People living in tents, campers, and tiny homes...winter is coming!!! Didn't see any signs of FEMA. We stopped at The Diner in Sevierville TN. today for dinner. We had a very difference in opinion. Lee: almost turned around and walked out before even getting seated. Veterans Day at Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton Tennessee. The Colonial Harvest Celebration had Historical Demonstrations from living history interpreters. If your local county/state didn't request FEMA, they can't do very much at all. FEMA is 100% ready and waiting to start writing checks for these folks (they are NOT out of money). The delay has been with county/state officials that have been dragging their feet, actually keeping FEMA out (WTF!!!). Per law, federal agencies ARE NOT ALLOWED to enter a state without first being requested by county/state authorities. It's their job, not the victim's, to coordinate with FEMA and get the help going for people who have lost their homes to Helene. If you're not seeing FEMA, it's the fault of your local and state officials, not FEMA's. @@POWER-LINKS First I'd like to thank you for your opinion. Imagine my surprise when I actually saw the mainstream media talking with the Hurricane Helene victims, just a day ago. What was said: FEMA told these folks that they were in the queue...queues don't feed a family, pay for housing or heat. Next is many contractors have left or halted work, still waiting on FEMA payments. It isn't local officials dragging their feet. I'm sure the current administration supporters really hate to admit the failure at every level...but alas! My guess is you work for FEMA, are a liberal who just can't handle truth, or maybe and hopefully just blissfully ignorant.
@@POWER-LINKS more on this: FEMA has been here...very limited. No one has kept FEMA away...yes a few places told FEMA to go away: why? Because FEMA was trying to shut them down. Our firehouse was shut down by FEMA, for handing out water! So yes WTF??? Our federal government is run by clowns! Thankfully, not for much longer!

@@shirleysaunders6443 We have a new video on Erwin TN coming on Friday the 29th with that info. Some of the best ways to help are to patronize the local businesses in the devastated areas. If you're not local, there are numerous non profits & sheriff offices taking donations. I'll list them in that upcoming video. Too many to list here. Thank you for the question...Daily we hear from local people who need propane and heaters, blankets, coats, and more. ❤️ I think it is best to be careful of which groups to donate to, that is what is taking so long for me to build a trustworthy list. Thank you again!!! ❤️

Our Fuddruckers closed earlier this year. I loved their cheddar bacon burger when I went to ours.

My great grandfather, grandfather, great uncles and uncles on my mom's side of the family were Moonshiners. They mostly made Sugar Liker. It's faster and easier than corn to make, therefore they could make more money. They made it in the woods by the light of the moon. I have some cousins who still make a run of the family product on special occasions. Great video! Thanks!

I live up on the side of the mountain where the little white church next to the road closed sign is, it has been heartbreaking seeing the destruction and devastation....I've cried so much I can't cry any more....😢😢😢😢😢
I understand...we can't leave the house without seeing the loss so many have endured. Then the help is easy to find in one area, not in the next. Some people are receiving some help, others are not. It crushes me knowing people are living in tents. 😢🙏❤️

At least one has...I helped an older man yesterday, cleaning up piles of wood and he told me that they still had two pallets of water to hand out at the firehouse he was with.

@@rtaylor4854 FEMA and our government isn't doing anything! As for helping, Stephanie physically cannot. Not that it's your business or I need to prove anything to you. I can easily prove that I have helped more easily than you can prove FEMA has. I was stacking sand bags before the flooding, running meals to those who can't get out, and just yesterday helped an old man load his truck with wood. I choose not to show any of that as I don't need nor want a pat on the back for it. Shall I video myself driving meals or loading wood next time? Will that make you feel better? Are you here helping? Maybe you're just upset that Trump won an election over a fraud? Your opinion is just that, an opinion. I'll continue to do me, with or without your approval.
People need these videos to show what we are going through!! And the help we are not getting! Don't down these folks for doing the videos!!

We all need to start calling our congress people and DEMAND that our government start helping our people and rebuild their homes and towns and not give another penny to foreign countries until these ares are rebuilt!

Thank you for covering Embreeville, TN. Most all of the focus has been on NC. I've only seen a couple of people showing the devastation in my state. It is absolutely heartbreaking. I live in Roane County. I've shed so many tears and am crying right now as I write this after watching your video. I hope everyone affected knows that they will not be forgotten and that the prayer warriors are on the job. Some of us can't be there in person, but I think we're doing a very important task. God hears His children's cries and I know many miracles have already happened through this heartache and many more miracles are coming. We are a strong, God fearing people that absolutely will not give up or give in. May our Father bless you and keep you. Praying
