    This is the best overview of Dave Schultz early career .... particularly how he incredible he was during his last year of high school. Plus, Mark explains his troubles with education in early childhood and how he won his second Tblisi title - with Soviet fan support!! I was fortunate enough to be a main workout partner with Dave during his senior year in high school. I was a 5th year senior at Stanford and early in the fall of 1976, Dave asked me to wrestle with him after practice. I was skeptical of this high school wrestler we all knew as "Ipswitch" and I had 30 lbs on him but I said "sure, let's go!" Dave looked young and was hardly shaving with no muscle definition. But his skills were shocking. We had the whole mat to ourselves and we'd fly all around the mat trying anything and everything we could. The unseen strength and incredible body control was amazing! I really didn't get to know how good he was at that time until years later .... but I did bet my brother in March of 1977 that Dave would win the Olympics! (although I didn't know enough to really say). I also didn't know he'd won Great Plains and didn't understand what the Tblisi tournament was ... until many years later. I feel blessed to have known him then and I also got to know him as an adult (and Nancy!!) from 1984-86 when he was assistant coach for Chris Horpel at Stanford and I was in my graduate studies. Thank you Mark for sharing this video!! -- Roy "Tiger" Tolles

    Some people think if you criticise Trump, you must be a left-winger. If you disregard Trump's words and only look at his actions, you'll see he's more left-wing than Bill Clinton was.

    • @DADTALKTODAY
      @DADTALKTODAY Місяць тому

      Hey man, I'm all up for criticizing him personally. There's lots of things about him I wish he would change. It's usually more the way he talks, and the people he surrounds himself with. However, the attacks from the left and how they constantly try to tear the man down is where I get turned off. The amount of people I saw, disappointed about the assassination attempt and some of the comments that were made were absolutely appalling. Whether you support him or not wanting something like that to happen and I know everybody saw it that's where I draw the line. Anybody with a brain that can put these two up against each other and look at the last eight years and find out which ones were better is a no-brainer. I have no problem with criticisms but the glove needs to fit.it doesn't need to be the type of attacks we are seeing. These would've never happened if it was a candidate on the left. They accuse him of using the legislation system to prosecute his opponents, that's what they did. They accused him of being an election denier, they've done that numerous times. And the newest one they talked about how big of a racist he was for wanting to build the wall now, they are saying they are going to build the wall. I could go on and on. I'm more less trying to show you. I don't mind if you got something legit but the hypocrisy on the left is so massive. It's unbelievable.

      Thanks for the detailed reply, you should be commended for the work you do, fighting for fathers rights btw. Yes, don't get me wrong, I'm squarely against the Democrats. Like you, I've also done a lot of work, for free, mostly defending peoples' second amendment rights, in maybe the worst state there is for that. I know very well the malicious prosecution Trump is facing. Very well. I know the other side accuses us of everything they themselves do. I haven't really criticised Trump publicly because I don't want to do anything to help the other side. That being said, as soon as Trump gets back into office, and he will, my concern is that he will not follow through on his words, like last time. I don't like doing this, but I'm going to make a list: He didn't secure the border via the national guard. Border crossings were slightly higher than under Obama. He really didn't deport anybody, except some of the criminals who went through the courts. He did not drain the swamp. Not one deep state criminal went to jail, but his people were prosecuted and jailed unjustly. He did not stand by any of them. The other side fights tooth and nail for their people. Now the only people who want to work for Trump, are the wrong people. The good ones are afraid of being prosecuted and left on their own. He started the 'stimulus', aka printing up of trillions of dollars that ended up being used by shady companies to buy up tons of real estate and drive up housing costs. Homelessness is through the roof. I know, Biden continued it. Landlords, at the same time, got stiffed on the rent. He rolled out the shot, I can't really say enough about that. Lockdowns happened on his watch. BLM/ANTIFA killed, burned and looted, on his watch. He did not call up the national guard. He had a duty to do that, and I have a hard time making excuses for him. There's more I could list, but the bottom line is, actions don't jive with the words. I hope everybody is right though, I hope Trump will come through, but I will not be surprised if things go sideways. I personally was hoping Desantis would stay in the race, and call Trump out on some of these issues during the debates, but Trump wouldn't debate.

    Three respectable, like-minded individuals. I love it. I took my girlfriend on day one of early voting here in Ohio. And we both voted for Trump. I recently watched the Democrat rally in Detroit with Eminem and Obama. It was literally two hours of people saying absolutely nothing. No articulation of policy. No issues addressed. It was all "Orange man bad. Go out and vote. Make Your voices heard." Anyone with a brain will vote for Trump. #MakeAmericaGreatAgain

    Soo happy that I had the opportunity to tell Harley- that I respected his old school toughness in brinkleys = old bar back in the day in lobby of the old Ramada Inn in east Boston MA. Ì would go there once a month when wwf came there,and look for any of the leftover Rats , and I got to meet most of the wrestlers, some were miserable, but some were really nice guys like Don the rock Muruco buying fugi, Orton, and Me! a round of drinks with Muruco treating me like a man ( not as a mark)! Once a month, east Boston partying with legends like Greg Valentine, mr.fugi, Bob Orton,Beefcake,Hart Foundation, Billy Jack, H.Race, couple of midgets ,Muruco + Steve Lombardi etc etc 1975 was 10( 70s,80s,90s- till 2015 was WRESTLING not so much Entertainment,,, 😮😊> today's absolute Abomination is Embarrassing > AEW !😢😊

The other thing is the roll of quarters as a weapon, well dynamite was full of steroids so I say fair game. Jacque did the right thing and he got pay back for everyone dynamite ever picked on. Bad News Brown is the one I’m disappointed at in this whole story. He was an Olympic judo guy and he was pretty much a bodyguard for kid to do this crap.
