Bike was recently "resurrected". Had been sitting a garage for years. It was repainted but virtually all of the original parts were there. Low miles with original factory pistons and silver cylinder paint. All OEM sheet metal was re-painted with Harley factory "sparkling gold" enamel. OEM saddlebags with original Chicago Lock Co locks. One of the most beautiful RS models BMW ever made. I've had three of them, but not this color.
Such beautiful bikes, the fairing is the whole point of the bike.
Slowly but surely falling in love with these bikes. I think i need one to keep my 1984 Goldwing company. QUESTION - What are the orange stripes on the headlight? Looks like a heating element but surely not?
I have the same bike, orange stripes don't do anything as far as I know, certainly not a heating element. 🙂
