The people that call all the east bay bands that blew up around 92-94 "sellouts" or "posers" crack me up. Fat mike put it best, these bands didn't sellout but instead the music they had been making for years already got super popular. Definitely a unique sound that came out of the bay area that just happened to have mass appeal

American music is aggrandized bc it is satanic. It doesn't compare in any way to classical music. There is a big difference between a song with a guitar and an orchestral work. A song is just a step over a jingle, but we have been led to believe otherwise in our dumbing down. Not to say that there aren't great songs.

As a Punk Bass Player my style is much more like Matt's than it is the "Traditional" Punk Bass style.. meaning like playing root notes.. Not that theres anything wrong with that playing style!! Its like the Backbone of Punk Music.. I play a American Fender PJ-Bass, and I also only play with my fingers rather than a Pick which is obviously different from the "Traditional" Punk Bass Player.. I can play so much faster and get way more like Melody from playing with my fingers.. Anyways, lol.. Awesome Video!! 🤘
