For rebuilding and cleaning a vg30 nissan lifter. You can also lightly scotchbrite parts if you'd like just be sure to get rid of all dust and grit made by doing that. Also Make sure all the oil holes are clear including the tinnnnnnyyyy ones on the top piece.

Why do you have to fill it to the brim with oil during assembly? Isn't that the engine's oil pressure's job, to expand the lifter body just enough to fill the space between valve stem and cam lobe? Wouldn't it be too high if you filled it to the max height?
It takes a while for the engines oil pressure to pump them up on first start up so this helps with that. When you install them they should bleed down to the correct height, however that may be a valid concern based on the design of the lifter.
How do you remove the lifters? I get that they're under the cams but once you remove the cams are they easily removable or do you have to do something special to get them off the head. Sorry I'm learning. My Z is ticking and I hate it going to try to fix it my self. Looking forward to a response. Need help. Thx
+JD G Once the cams are removed you just pull them out. They are a little tricky to grab but a pick used on the top oil hole will let you fish them out.

Line up timing marks like normal. Set everything to tdc.
+JD G I was attached a neodymium magnet to the end of a metal rod, and then attached the magnet to the lifter. It pulls out so amazingly well, and because it's neodymium, you won't have an issue of the magnet falling off easily. Hope this helps anyone else for future regards

Did you have to redo your timing when you reinstalled the lifters?
Do you mean timing belt or adjust cas?
I was wondering whether or not the timing gets messed up because you have to remove the cams to get to the lifters. Sorry if it isn't making any sense, im a noob.
