Very good idea.. Sadly through exsperance it dose not work.. It leaks and doesn't enter the bladder. Done this at home and with nurse just for it all to be wasted.. As I say great idea but dose not work..

This mechanism literally eliminates catheterization for individuals needing bladder instillations. If you have interstitial cystitis being catheterized is exceuciatingly painful, so this is a way to get medication into your bladder without a catheter...whether your Male or female. You sound like the biggest nut job I've ever seen in a UA-cam comment section. People who need bladder instillations but cant suffer the catheterization process NEED this device. And btw, nothing says you cant use lidocaine at the urethral opening just like with full catheterization. I cant help but think you've never actually been catheterized or payed attention to how big a catheter for instillation actually is. As for the size of the urethra on this PRACTICE MANNEQUIN...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I've never had a bladder instillation before, so I don't know what goes into them. And for your information, every time I AM cathetered, I ask for lidocaine and I'm told No, it won't do the same as it will for a man and besides, "it doesn't hurt that bad." So, excuse me if I don't sound like a seasoned interstitial cystitis patient and use all the right words for you, but we haven't come to "instillation" yet. Jesus. Why do you have to be so fucking rude and mean? What did I do to you? You sound like the nut job going off on me for absolutely no reason. @@sophbelle you immediately started criticizing the makers of a trial product that has the potential to provide significant pain reduction for a procedure many women and men have to go through dozens of times a year. You did so with complete ignorance and a lack of understanding of what the product is even intended for. If other IC patients (like me) who are having to undergo instillations and are researching less painful alternatives come to this video and all they see is your ignorant comment they may not look any further into this product. I genuinely do not care if my response to you was harsh. You should not put ridiculous comments that have no relevance to the material in the video. It is misleading to others who come here for answers. As for you not being offered anesthetic prior to catheterizations, I suggest you find a different doctor or purchase 5% lidocaine for yourself which is inexpensive and available over the counter. You can apply it 30 minutes before the procedure, but I doubt it will fully alleviate the discomfort. Which is why this product is so revolutionary. It's unfortunate that bitter ignorant individuals cant do research and become an advocate for themselves. It's even more unfortunate that they come to a public forum and spread their ignorance, scaring away people this product is meant to help. You were perfectly capable of a google search of what this product does. Your alarmist commentary about a "giant apparatus" (which this actually is not) is not necessary.
