Death Valley Expedition Day 1
Переглядів 3837 місяців тому
Expedition Death Valley is under way as myself and Alex (@lostinthewoods on IG) travel from Trona Pinnacles to Geologist Cabin. As we make our way through the first days expedition, we are treated to the rare super-bloom seen throughout Death Valley in early April 2024, and treated to the beauty of the rare lake within Badwater Basin. Badwater Basin is the lowest basin in the United States at 2...
Built 3rd Gen Tacoma takes on Rattlesnake Gulch
Переглядів 1,7 тис.10 місяців тому
Traversing Rattlesnake Gulch trail solo is a bit of a challenge. This is one of the trails Matts Offroad Recovery pulls vehicles out of with smashed differentials from hidden rocks poking up everywhere. The trails rating for this trail is a median 5. It might be a 5, it does have areas that Id say are a bit more technical and need a capable driver and vehicle. Follow my travels across the count...
3rd Gen Tacoma on Black Bear Pass = FUN! and Pucker Factor is REAL!
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 роки тому
Join me on my early September trip from Ouray, Colorado to Telluride, Colorado through Black Bear Pass. This was my first time, videos DO NOT do the shelf roads justice. This is most definitely one of the most beautiful trails you can explore. Be careful watching, the cliffs are so real you can fall off watching this video :)
Poughkeepsie Gulch Ouray Colorado..

September is an amazing time of year to explore the abandoned mines and mining trails of Colorado in the San Juan Mountains. Enjoy the trails through my camera and all of the beautiful unbelievable real scenes. Grab a cup of coffee and come along with me and my new trail friends.
exploring parts of Imogene pass in my Tacoma
Переглядів 4132 роки тому
In mid May there is still plenty of snow at elevation in Colorado. Imogene Pass was not completely passable, I did the next best thing, explored both ends on the Ouray side and Telluride side. I had all day to explore so I did what most vloggers don't do, I got out and got a little closer to the things people normally just drive by. Enjoy. @LiteBrite @DirtLifestyle @whistlindiesel @TheStoryTill...
WABDR3 day trip turned overnight!!

I set out kinda late to drive and explor Wabdr3 on a Tuesday, late morning.. I completely forgot sun goes down just past 5pm. Thank goodness for rooftop tent, sleeping bag in rtt and my new Skottle.. Sidney and I had bacon and eggs.. then finished the trail next day. enjoy

That Tundra is badass. Nice lines in the taco
@@classVTaco thank you… that is Dave’s, my buddy. He needs an IG!! 🤣

sick rig, loving the tundra because i also have one that i want to build like that
@@Davidityourself that’s my buddy Dave. It’s pretty capable.
that first climb is a butt clencher
@@dadaking The “Launch Pad”, its steep!
Nice video mate 👍🏼 Moab is such a cool place.
@@roamingkiwi4wd thank you glad you enjoyed it! Part two coming shortly!
@ProneToRome sweet! Just subscribed so we don't miss it.
@@roamingkiwi4wd thank you!
Looks like fun. I was hoping to check out Moab over New Year's but too much going on.
@@John-fm8yl 100% fun. It was a bit slippery this time.
Gonna be back in the 406 soon?
No plans at this time.
@@ProneToRome let me know when you do!
@@John-fm8yl absolutely!
🔥
Nice video and truck bro! are you on 37s?
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Tacoma is on 38s, 4runner is on 37s
Looks like a blast! 👏
We need to do a trip!. 😁
Looks like a fun one! Is this the trail where MORR pulls out submerged jeeps?
lol yessir. I avoided all Oceangate options on this one.
Beautiful shots!!
Thank you sir. You got some pretty sweet shots your last trip as well
Southern Utah is beautiful
Absolutely agree. No place like it.
Nice. I wanna go 🥹.
St George area is absolutely heaven for Offroad
Great video, what size lift and tires do you have?
Thanks. This was a 3” lift and 285s. It’s all different now. I’m in 37s. 😁
Awesome video. Did you come across any cross traffic coming up or down? Looks very tight in a lot of sections.
It is very tight. We did come across two land cruisers , there is one spot that either party can pull off. You have to be looking
@@ProneToRome Thanks. Looking to take my 4 runner up there and it has long travel so its around 82" width with 35s. Trying to assess how tight it will be. I imagine it won't be accessible until later in the summer with the snow.
@@christopheralexander5121 you would be fine. There were 1 ton land cruisers on the trail running 40s. I am 85” wide now with long travel. I wouldn’t think twice about going back
@@ProneToRome awesome. Look forward to making the drive. The views look epic and I've been meaning to explore Plumas NF.
Nice. Beautiful views. Those tires are huge lol. I did black bear in August then did imogen right after. The sketchiest part of black bear I remember was before entering the steps into the switchbacks there was this rock shelf that had about a foot and half or more drop to the left side first... have to really watch your line or you could tip
That particular spot is a bit puckering.
What a sexy beast. Definitely the best looking truck.
Thank you
Bro!!! R u on 37's? Those meats look yuuuge! Sick video.
Yessir. 37” Nitto ridge grapplers , thank you it is a great truck!
Heloo me new freind
Hello! Hope you enjoyed
Epic drive but that first song was pretty good too. Can you share the title?
awesome view!
It was amazing . 🙂
Looks like a great day out!
Was awesome. Had trail nearly to myself.

looks amazing, been near deer lake. i wasn't sure if you could get all the way down to the bottom, well done. looks amazing.
I’ve heard it was closed now. I’m sure someone went down and tore stuff up, which is sad. So beautiful
Did you see part two?
@@ProneToRome yea man. Great stuff! I took my kiddos wife and parents up to the buttes lookout a couple years back. It's awesome!
It’s definitely one of my favorite trips. Stay tuned for my Colorado trip and Utah Moab trip
Where did you camp in the beginning of the video?
Gold lake… just past the gate keeper
Awesome video. What lake did you end up camping at? Looks smaller than gold lake
Yes, the lake is on the way to Sierra Butte lookout. Was absolutely beautiful
Great video, you guy’s are the real deal, you’re proving that you don’t need an ultra built, every new gadget just made or a sky high lift rig ,to enjoy the outdoors and have a great time 😉❤️🙏🏼
Thanks so much for the kind words. I’m hoping to have new content up soon!
Who is the female artist when are coming down the hill? Please?
The only female artist on that is Emorie. She can be found on Spotify
Thank you.
Been to the Lookout a few times in my life. Only thing you missed was close up shots of the lookout and the stairs. Went to Tamarack lake too.
It’s an amazing area with so much to see.
Did you camp at the eastern end of the trail ??
Yes, by the water
Nice work bro!! Dclb here with full skids just waiting on sliders. Hopefully hitting this soon. You think my trail Limo will be good. I’m running about 2” of lift on 6112 /5160. Epic trail that’s for sure. Great job 🤙🏻
Thank bro. You should be fine with a good spotter. The rock garden and step up is all you will have any issues with. Just take your time.
@@ProneToRome thank you bro I will.
Nice! How long does it take to get to Sierra Buttes lookout from Gold Lake 4x4 campground?
I’d say 1-2 hours depending how much you stop.
Is there a lot pin striping on this trail? Or just a bit?
Depends where on the trail you go. The cliff on the side of the fire lookout has a bit
What section is this?
Section 3, but only part of it. Will be posting more in next couple weeks
This is on my tic list to do before I die. Super jealous!
The Washington BDR should be in everyone’s adventure list. It’s fun and beautiful
Great video! If you don’t mind me asking what do you do your editing on?
I use Lightworks Pro and Boris fx and graffiti plugins.
@@ProneToRome nice ya your editing is on point! Well done! I’m now a subscriber!
Would a stock 3rd gen 4 runner make it there?
You risk tearing it yp
Pretty sweet. I took my 3rd hen up the trail from Sierra City all the way to the lookout last summer. Beautiful country. I wanna attempt snake lake trail up there.
I miss the area. Best trip I’ve ever done aside from Utah
@@ProneToRome yea man. Just watched it again. Beautiful area. Lots of great wheeling trails. You’ve done it. I’m going back!
Sweet trip man! Are you on 33’s or 35’s? I wanna attempt this in my Tacoma. Looks fun.
I am on 33s. It was such a great trip
Great run! Do you have the Gaja map you can share for this?
I used onx for this run. Not really sure how to get it to you
Possible to get from Gold Lake to Sierra Buttes lookout all on OHV trails? Thanks!
Absolutely, it’s about an 8 mile all OHV. seriously the most beautiful trip you can take.
@@ProneToRome its on the list! Thanks
Very nicely done, looks very professional.
Thank you. Hopefully I only make it better as time goes on.
Was that Colorado stock? Got me nervous as h***!
That Colorado was stock and did a pretty good job. With a little lift and tires that truck would go anywhere
@@ProneToRome nice! Yea love my Colorado. Finally doing a lift in the next couple weeks and moving back to Sac from SoCal. Def going to be hitting the trails up there.
Any trouble making it back out from Deer Lake? Looked steep and loose even on video.
Pick your line and it’s fine. Definitely don’t go unprepared
Passed the Carriage house on the right at the beginning of the video. I took my daughter's there , wonderful place to stay in a wonderful area.
Thank you for watching. Definitely a cool little place off the beaten path.
Can you list the trail/s you took? Beautiful......
@jim brothers thanks for the question. This is Gold Lake 4x4 camp ground. From the campground, take the road to deer lake and from deer lake take Sierra butte road to Sierra butte. Some of the roads we took on the way out are old forest roads and I don’t know their #s. Definitely top three places in my book to explore and camp
Do you ever plan this trips? Those are amazing places to go and relax and just forget whatever is going on in the world. Nice video!
I do plan them for myself. I plan on doing the rest of the bdr at some point. Would be fun to do with group of friends. Lots to explore too
Great video!!! Keep em coming
Thank you so much!! I am planning another video very soon. Stay tuned Dennis!!
Nice. What are you using to film?
Currently I am using a go pro hero 7 black, DJI magic pro 2 and iPhone 8plus. Hopefully will be adding a full body to the mix soon
Nice video! I love that kind of weather and the music is perfect. The shots are breathtaking, so nice!
Thanks Ed. Hoping to post up something next week. Stay tuned 🙂
