If you watched my video, you would hear me discuss the rust as it came from the northeast. I do agree it could use being needle gunned and painted. The ecm was never replaced when it was built which is very common on cat gliders. The ecm miles show 879,800 and the hours show 29,900. However 433,847 is the original mileage on the truck when it was factory built by high country motors. Thanks for your interest!

Hey Shawn, good Sunday afternoon my friend. No just looking at trucks and not looking for anything. I retired two weeks before ELOGS became law and I feel very fortunate to be off the road and no longer hafta deal with the 4 wheelers and dumbass steering wheel holders! It's nothing like it was in 1978 when I got in my first truck and Brother it was still a great job back then but those good days of driving are a distant memory and I'm lucky to have driven back then, but even luckier to be done now. I drove a lot of shiney CAT powered stuff and nothing pulled better in the big hills and I never was a Detroit diesel fan, no offense Shawn. I never get tired of looking at the LARGE CAR'S and W~900's and 359 and 379 Pete's were always my favorite. Your a busy man and I appreciate your time my friend.

Thank you for sharing your story and experience. Old school Detroit’s and cats are by far the most sought after engine in the hood trucks we buy and sell. What one lacks, the other has.
